my self and my fiance stayed at this hotel for 1 week 10th-18th june 09.. it was a lovely quiet little hotel, we only realy used it to sleep and shower... normaly we're used to 5 star all-inclusive hotels in Turkey but this time we wanted a change so we decided to go for central bed & breakfast hotel so we could go out for dinner in the evenings at different restaurants, to see different beaches and for the night life (clubs and bars) at night.
everything about the hotel was rather good, i wouldn't say 4* but defantly a 3* hotel because of little things.. like in our room the shower was little broken (took a little time to switch on) and the room looked as though it needed a freshen up ( wallpaper and carpets looked a little old & tacky) .. but all time clean so thats the most important thing. the only thing i hated .. was the view from our room.. no see view... our room was at the back of the hotel on looking another hotel.. u could have a conversation with the people in the other hotel on the balcony lol it was too close and everytime in the room we felt we needed to close the curtains so the people from next hotel could look in!... so i would defantly recommend booking a sea view as the front of the hotel had amazing veiws. but with every thing iv mentiond iv only realy ever been to 5* all-inclusive hotels which is very different type of holiday, so im not used to this type of hotel.
The morning breakfast was ok.. to be honest we only used 2 times.. just for a cup of tea/coffee and mabe some toast, as we over slept some mornings or went out very early and had breakfast out... but it seemed ok, no complaints.
we used the pool on the first day as we just wanted a quiet day around the hotel... lovely little pool and pool bar on roof top and fantastic veiw of the sea and around the hotel.
the reception staff were very friendly and helpful at all times. we didnt use the main bar or any other facilities in the hotel so can not comment on those.
we had a my fiance car so we drove to different beaches and towns in the day which was realy nice as my fiance is Turkish and have been Kusadasi many times we knew where and what beaches are nice and good places to visit.
i think we would use this hotel again in the future as its a ideal central location and can walk to restaurants, beaches, bars, clubs, shops and markets... everything u need in walking distance.
also to mention for people who may want to know.. the wifi internet connection is free (ask reception to give u a password)... i used my laptop everyday in our room to quickly browse the net or speak with family/friends on msn or facebook (free of charge in my room saving a fortune in phone bills)
all in all we had a good time at the Derici Hotel :D and would recommend to family & friends. perfect for those lookin for a nice central hotel with everything near by and for brilliant night life.
