“EXCELLENT - AGAIN!”
Reviewed June 20, 2013

Just had a week at the Derici with a friend for her 70th birthday. Absolutely brilliant. Front sea-view watching the cruise ships come in. Hotel staff same as last year - friendly and helpful. Breakfast is more than adequate - cereals, cold meats/cheese/salads, sausage, different types eggs and lovely fresh bread/cakes/biscuits. water melon and natural yoghurt. Mmmm. Pool area small - but there were beds free at most times of the day, Can't believe the improvements to Kusadasi promenade area since last Sept. Marina area finished with fabulous bars. Two scruffy little beach areas now all cleaned up with sunbeds on. Horse and carriages now there for little trips. All in all I would say this is good value. Loads of very nice restaurants very close by and very reasonable prices. Enjoy. ( hotel next door being renovated - but did not cause any disturbance)

Room Tip: side rooms have views of the marina - front rooms port and marina

I stayed in the derici in 2011 and may/june 2013 its been upgraded since my first visit i chose this hotel because of its location you walk out the front door and your right in the heart of town especially close to my fave cafe CAFE ROMA you can catch the dolmuş to ladies beach/long beach and kuştur beach from right outside the hotel

The staff are friendly at the hotel and always happy to help free wifi which is good so you can keep in touch with friends n family back home. Breakfast is a typical turkish breakfast there is option for a cooked breakfast tho

i would defo return to the derici in the future :-)

Stayed here for 10 days May/June and I will definitely be back, choose the Derici for its location which is excellent a short stroll to centrum, dolmus from right outside the hotel to long beach, ladies beach or kuster. Breakfast was typically Turkish which I was quite happy with, if you wanted omelettes etc you would probably be disappointed as they were already made and in a warming dish. View from the breakfast room was amazing you could see the harbour and marina areas.
Free wifi which worked very well in all areas
Reception staff were very nice and helpful as were housekeeping
Rooms were nice (recently refurbished I would think) not huge but ample size, shower was brilliant
A relaxed and very pleasant hotel to stay in :-)

Scenery - Loved the hotels spectacular views of the promenade/sea and the kusadasi horizon which allowed many landmarks to be seen clearly from the hotel terrace which is a lovely bonus.

Breakfast - food that was prepared in advance was not always warm which let it down slightly eg omlettes, eggs and they appeared underdone, being pregnant I avoided these anyway. Milk appeared to be powdered milk and not fresh, they had choice of cold and hot meals were available although I had brought my own so didnt try them. Jams and butter and cheese spreads alongside salads were typically on offer each day. They had tea coffee and a drink machine available at breakfast time (this was not available at dinner in evening which is a shame). A selection of breads and a toast warmer were available for use every breakfast time. Breakfast was between 7-10am sometimes we skipped this as wasn't worth getting up for!

Dinner - As mentioned no drinks were part of the meal (they had to be purchased separately which we thought should have been part of the deal like at breakfast time. Food was not always to our liking, choice of main hot meals was restricted to 3-4 mains (sometimes these were lukewarm) with lots of variety of cold salads (15-18 varieties approx) hot soup always available and bread. Sometimes we supplemented dinner with outside food.
Dinner time was 7.30-9.30pm

Internet - Excellent wifi facilities on each level of the hotels 5 floors and the terrace which was handy and a must for us to keep in touch.

Rooms - cleaning staff did a good job, although hard to communicate with them as they didnt speak english.

Reception- polite and got things done when requested.

Overall the hotel is extremely well located close to food places that we enjoyed eating at (round the corner lovely kebab wrap place) well placed to go into city centre each day and enjoy walks in surrounding area. Would recommend but bear in mind the food is better eating out than at the hotel.

I needed a quiet hotel in the heart of Kusadasi for attending and competing in the European Masters Weightlifting comptition that was held 18-25 May. I spent a week in the hotel just B+B and found the service excellent, the outdoor roof pool an excellent area to relax in and the room was quiet and clean. The shower was a good power shower but the there was the usual liquid soap that befits a 2 star hotel back in the UK. Altogether I would really rate the hotel a 3 star establishment but I was pleased to stay here for around £300 for two people for 7 days, i.e. £22 per night per person. The number 1 and number 6 Dolmus minibus stops outside handy for the Ephesus Convention Centre 6 km away and many of the beaches. The cost to go out to the Ephesus Convention Centre was 2.75 Turkish lira each or 5.50 for two which was around £2 each way. Being in the heart of town meant you could see the port, the Marina. Attaturk Bulvari, restaurants, banks, a couple of supermarkets all withing 1 km or 12 mins walk. Excellent. I would recommend this hotel.

Room Tip: Do not have a room next to the lift e.g. 501!

A friend and i stayed at this hotel in May 2013 for one night after a day tour of Ephesus. The location was ideal, right on the waterfront and close to many restaurants and the pier. The hotel staff were friendly and helpful. Rooms were spacious, clean and comfortable. The breakfast was okay, not much to choose from though. I would stay here again :)

Room Tip: Try for at least a second floor room to get a great sea view.

Stayed at this hotel on several occasions as the location is perfect. Right on the prom with wonderful views of the cruise ships. Surrounded by bars, shops and restaurants. Very basic room but with a balcony. Would not stay in a room too long anyway during my holiday. Pool is located on thr rooftop. Pool very small but again a lovely area to sunbathe. Would stay here again.

Room Tip: Any room facing the seafront.
