“Great hotel, excellent location!”
Reviewed July 4, 2012

We booked this hotel, not really knowing what to expect. We had read many positive and negative reviews, but decided to try the hotel anyway - and I am glad we did, it was great! We were allocated a side sea view room, which was lovely! Breakfast each morning was good, a selection of breads, olives, omlette, fruit juices, cereals, tea/coffee, cheese etc. We didnt try the evening meal so cannot comment. The room was serviced everyday, and was very clean. The reception staff spoke very good English and always helped. The hotel is within walking distance to everything and not as noisy as what we expected it to be, being on the promenade. The roof top pool is good, the only problem we found was there not being enough sun loungers, so I would recommend you get there at 9am when the pool opens. Also, on windy days, it is impossible to use the parasol as this just blows inside out! If we were to ever visit Kusadasi again, we would consider staying here again.

Room Tip: Book a room with a balcony, as we found that rooms without a balconcy looked into a court yard with...

Having been spoiled by staying at the Charisma De Luxe last year, when we arrived we were a little dismissive of the Derici, This was, of course, unfounded after settling in. Ou room was overlooking the harbour and the street - perfect for people watching. The only drawback of this hotel is that the balconies are very exposed to the neighbouring rooms and the lack of space at the somewhat small rooftop pool.

Room Tip: Sea view rooms are the best! You can normally upgrade through your tour operator for a small fee, bu...

The hotel was great. Nice room, tiny bit old fashioned but nothing bad. Awesome see view from the balcony. The room, bar and pool area were all perfectly clean. The pool on the roof is great but if its windy it can be hard to get any shade because the umbrellas blow inside out. We only had trouble getting a sun bed on one day and that was when we didn't show up until around 2pm, every other day there were no problems.
We had the half board option, it was buffet for breakfast and evening meal. Lots of choice for salad and stuff. Most of the mains were quite similar, beef and chicken, but all tasted good. Didn't ever dislike any of it.

Room Tip: Ask for a sea view. Bit noisier as the main road is between you and the see, but the sun set and vie...

Me and my partner stayed here for a week from the 23rd-30th June 2012. This hotel could not be in a better location, it is right in the centre of the hustle and bustle of Kusadasi. It is right on the sea front and walking distance to the shops, restaurants and the marina. On first impressions it felt almost like an inner city hotel, but was clean and the decor was pleasant (we stayed in room 506 on the top floor which apparently was the only floor which had recently undergone a refurb). It had a very cheap mini bar and free air conditioning which was great for the heatwave. The breakfast was basic and lacking in choice but tasted okay and set us up for the day. Swimming pool is on the roof and is very clean and a great sun trap but gets very busy so is worth getting up there early. The staff were friendly enough and made us feel welcome. The only downside for us was that our balcony overlooked a derelict car park and the neighbouring hotel, sea view rooms were an extra cost. However we were rarely in our room so didn't let that bother us. Have read several negative reviews on here from people I can only assume expect the Ritz when they travel, so please bear in mind it is a simple 3-star hotel and is fairly basic, but I could not have asked for a better place to stay for a week, especially for the price we paid! Looking to book again for this September!

My top tips would be to try the Turkish bath downstairs and to try Robert's Coffee cafe next door, the iced latte's were incredible!

Room Tip: Not sure about room numbers but the sea view rooms are much better albeit at a higher cost.

The hotel was perfectly situated within walking distance (6 mins) of Bar Street and the Old Town which is where you eat. The hotel was clean and beds were comfortable. Air con was also free. I would definitly stay there again. We didn't have a sea view room but that didn't bother us because we didn't spend much time in our room. Breakfast was lovely, we had scrambled eggs, toast, boiled eggs, omlette and there was english tea and coffee and various juices to choose from. We stayed B&B because eating out is so cheap in Turkey we didn't want to be restricted. Dont let any reviews put you off. This hotel is wonderful.

The hotel is metres away from the main street and also feels completely comfortable and safe. The staff couldn't have been nicer and the hotel itself couldn't have been cleaner or more peaceful. I'd stay there on my next visit!
