“Ephesus Ancient Ruins”
Reviewed December 13, 2012

We recently arrived to Turkey via the Crown Princess. I spent hours deciding which tour company we would use to tour Ephesus .. Kusadasi tours came highly recommended. I requested Semih (Sam). He was awaiting our arrival as we exited the terminal. Our day was filled with education. Semih was very knowledgable and had a few surprises up his sleeve. We enjoyed an authentic Turkish lunch which was quite good. We had an opportunity to visit a pottery shop and see it in action. Semih Thank you again for making our day so special

“Guide did not even acknowledge our arrival.”
Reviewed November 22, 2012

The guide did not acknowledge our arrival, didn't say a word! We went with another agency instead, only to discover that a $280.- non refundable charge was made to my credit card. Do NOT book with this company, they are a rip off.

We corresponded via email, you wanted to confirm and I diverted you to book through our website to and automated online booking system. You booked it yourself online by paying online.

And since then, untill the tour time we did not receive any cancellation order/request from you but when your guide came to the port to meet you, you said you were contracted to another company.

So your file is issued as a "no show" according to our company's cancellation policies, which you have read and accepted while booking.

According to our cancellation policies, the cancellation has to be made 24 hours before the tour.

If you wanted to cancel, you must have done it 24 hours before the tour through the internet. Or by email.

However No cancellation request/order was received neither by our system nor by email up to 24 hours to the tour date.

So the sub-contracted guide & the vehicle were appointed with a contract for your tour and scheduled to meet you on the tour day and they were already pre-paid for your tour.

I am sorry for the inconvenience, there is no refund because of this "no show".

“Great Tour of Ephesus With Kusadasi Tours and Tugrul Sokmen”
Reviewed October 16, 2012

We highly recommend Tugrul as one of the best guides we ever hired. The reviews on TripAdvisor singing his praises are spot on correct. Our group of four adults booked a tour of Ephesus with his company, Kusadasi Tours, on line several months in advance. Two days before our tour, he reconfirmed via email, and he was waiting for us at the pier in Kusadasi when we arrived. He had arranged a small bus capable of accommodating at least 10 passengers, so we had plenty of room. While the driver navigated the bus through Kusadasi, Tugrul (Too-rule) gave us a thorough introduction not only to the history and geography of Ephesus but also to modern day Turkey and its status with the EU. Before long, we were at the upper gate to Ephesus, where Tugrul bought our admission tickets and then led us on his fully narrated tour of the entire area, including the Terrace Houses--an absolute must see area requiring a separate admission fee that was included in the cost of our tour. After a little more an two hours on site at Ephesus, Tugrul had the bus take us to a different area where the Indoor Museum of Archeology is located, and he led us on another fully narrated tour there. We saw artifacts dating back thousands of years, all of which he explained in detail. Then we went to a rural restaurant/carpet factory for a nice lunch that was a bargain at $10 per person, including beer, sodas, Turkish coffee and Raku. After lunch, we visited a leather factory that we left after only a few minutes. We then returned to the port. The agreed cost for our group was $370, and we rounded up to $400 because we so enjoyed our tour. We wish all of our guides on this trip were as good as Tugrul.

“Excellent tour of Priene, Miletos and Didyma”
Reviewed October 15, 2012

We booked our tour with Tugrul on line for the tour of these ancient citiesthis past September . He met us right on time as we got off the cruise ship and took us to the three cities. Had extensive knowledge of the ruins. Was extremely friendly and informative of present day Turkey also. I would highly recommnd him to everyone. Definitely of great value and had a wonderful time. Turkey has the largest number of ancient city ruins of any country in the world. A++.
