“Simple by American Standards but enjoyable”
Reviewed June 14, 2013

This hotel is simple by American standards, but dry clean and one of the best in Kusudasi where luxurious hotels are unavailable. I am not sure how they have a four star rating as it can be misleading. Everything you read in the other reviews is true, from the quirky decor, the see through shower( there are blinds but this was clearly done to allow natural light), to no top sheet or blanket, but you can request another coverlet, there is no coffee pot but a kettle with instant coffee or tea. You must go downstairs for breakfast which is very delicious and the view unbeatable. The card in the room for the electricity to work is actually normal in many European countries but I could see in summer it would be very inconvenient to return to a very hot room. The nightclub Jade that is below the hotel is indeed very noisy when they have events. The mini fridge is simply stocked and the television is tiny. However the pros to this hotel are the convenient location and spectacular views. You can walk into town for dinner, enjoy the best sunsets, and have breakfast, cocktails or dinner on the lovely terrace. The restaurant has very good fresh food, and the staff are friendly. The front desk staff are a bit unfriendly but everyone else is nice. Given the limited choices in Kusudasi this is one of the best, just have realistic expectations so you can enjoy.

Room Tip: All rooms have a fantastic view.

We stayed two nights and regretted we didn't have more time at this lovely, boutique hotel with undisturbed views of the Aegean. The Hotel is immaculately cared for with nice-sized rooms, good shower, balcony and, of course, the stunning views. The town is a short, scenic walk and La Vista is a very welcome respite from the hustle and bustle created by cruise ships depositing hoards of people. Ten minutes from this is the antidote to that frenetic pace. We spent time reading and swimming in their large infinity pool which faced the sea. We ate at a seafood restaurant in town the first night which was quite good; no complaints, but cancelled reservations the second night in favor of sitting at an outside table, watching the stunning sun set. The food was delicious and my seal bream perfectly fresh and grilled was better than the previous evening. If this weren't enough to turn your head, the ladies at the front desk, Meltem, Yonca and Yagmur, were pure delight to work with; knowledgeable warm and personable, they were immediately responsive to even the smallest request. No question...if I, in the future, are in or near Kusadasi, this is my choice. I recommend La Vista without reservation. ( no pun intended) Mary Wolf, New York City

Room Tip: Any room with the sea view.

This lovely boutique hotel is located just a 10 minute walk from the centre of town and yet it feels light years away. With panoramic views of the harbor and neighboring islands, each room feels like a getaway. The rooms are clean and comfortable, with an outdoor balcony. Big billowy sheer curtains shade the interiors from the harshest glare of the afternoon sun -- a small price to pay for the second-to-none sunset views. Regardless of your dinner plans, be prepared to enjoy a sunset drink on the hotel patio. We actually did eat dinner at the hotel and the service was attentive and efficient and the food, simple in preparation with the freshest ingredients. Given the divine location, I can't think of a better place to have dinner.

Room Tip: I think they must all be good, because they all face the sea. We were on the first floor, and the vi...

We spent 3 nights at the end of our 3 weeks trip to Turkey. This is a resort style hotel with stunning view of the Aegean sea from ALL rooms. You can also enjoy the amazing view of the sunset over the sea. The infinity pool is really something you will have to admire. Just sit in the balcony, sip tea, drink wine or whatever and enjoy the view! The rooms are large with ample space for your luggage, the décor is tasteful and the beds are very comfortable. The showers are luxurious and service is prompt. The breakfast was delicious and the staff was attentive. They will take your special order gladly. You may sit outside by the pool to have your breakfast while enjoying the view of the sea, the infinity pool and the gardens with beautiful flowers.
The staff is very helpful, but not as warm as we found at other places in Turkey. They were kind of more "respectful" or "formal".
The hotel is uphill from the town center which is about 10 minutes pleasant walk. But if you are elderly or with disabilities, it may be difficult to climb the hill upon return from the town.
Oh, did I mention the cleanliness? The entire resort including rooms, grounds, pool area, restaurant... were meticulously clean.
There was a dance club "Jade" across the street by the sea with loud music that was annoying sometimes, but if you close the balcony door, you will not hear anything..
The only thing we did not like was the fact that the minibar fridge was not working; and despite our repeated request, nothing was done. They however supplied us with complimentary ice, which would normally cost 10 Turkish Lira for a small cup !!!
If we ever end up visiting Kusadasi again, we will stay no where but LaVista !

Room Tip: Just get the regular room, it is better than the suite, unless you are traveling with kids

We spent 2 nights here, in a Suite over looking the water. The view was stunning and the Suite quite large.
If I had to use one word however for this Property, it would be "Minimalistic" !
2 Towels, very small, 1 very small piece of Soap, no Robes, Internet worked but not Email, (through Outlook), and no idea why.
The weather was glorious, but the Pool was very cool.
The Restaurant was great, sit outside around the Pool and stare at the fantastic view. Unfortunatley, pretty limited selection of drinks !!
Staff were terrific, but seemed to have limited authority, but they did get desperately needed laundry done on a Sunday, so full marks.
Definitely worth staying at, but some basic in house improvements needed.

Room Tip: Go for the Water view Suite and spread out.

Hotel very property located on the coast with stunning infinity pool but:

administrative home supervisor college or prison - first word : passport, you prepay on arrival for 3 nights booked through internet with caution, no drink on arrival, the rooms of the Novotel range, no square hand towel or gloves toilet despite our three requests over three days .... artificial plastic flowers in the garden and on the table!! garden gnomes and ceramic dog show lack of taste of the unfriendly owner, genuine goalie, but everywhere without a word to his guests ... fresh orange juice paying 10 £ turkish , coffee and cappuccino for breakfast fee which is in quite some ... like the best western....

with another branch, a professional and friendly staff this hotel would be a hotel or customer feel good, the hotel next door deserves to be noted but we only stay three days, can any-he do?

Situated on a hill overlooking the sea, this modern resort style hotel offered a welcoming staff that provided excellent service. The rooms and beds were comfortable and bedrooms overlooking the sea had balconies. The view of the coast line with a little peninsula and small islands was exquisite. We had very pleasant breakfasts and it was about a 20 minute walk into the little town aggregated on the sea shore. The local restaurants were plentiful
but we did n't find any outstanding ones. There is a gorgeous swimming pool at the hotel, under canopy with adjacent seating for both lounging and eating, with a pleasant sea breeze. The hotel was very well maintained and very clean. It had ben recommended by our Turkish Travel agent Turkey Sojourn and like all their other services, this recommendation was excellent. We would be delighted to revisit this hotel and this town, barry e white md
