These apartments are the best accomodation i have stayed in while on holiday in Kusadasi. I have been going to kusadasi for 12years!!! September is a great time to visit as it is quieter than the rest of the season and you can really relax. Staff are very friendly and will always make time for you. I will definately be staying there again!

Dear Trish 37239,

it is now coming near the end of the season for us. We are tired but we are very happy because it has been a brilliant summer and we have met so many great people who have come to Whispering Sands for their holidays.

Without you and everyone else who has chosen Whispering Sands as their holiday destination, there would be no need for us, We know that you have many choices open to you for your holiday location, and we very much appreciate that you have chosen to come here.

I am very happy that you have enjoyed your holiday with us so much and I look forward to meeting you again sometime. I wish you a great finale to the year and evey success in 2013.
My best wishes

We stayed for the middle two weeks of August and my kids (6 and 9) are still going on about how great it was and we must go back there next year! As they say if the kids are happy so are the adults. Our review is:

Booking - really simple and easy to book. The apartments and complex are well described on the website. The ability to book transfers/welcome packs was very welcome.

Checking in - having booked a local transfer from the UK it was great just to be able to walk straight out of the airport into your mini-bus and go direct to the resort. When we arrived at Whispering Sands our bags were taken straight to our room, we were given our set of keys and five minutes later we were at the bar with a beer in hand and food on order - that's the way to start a holiday.

Apartments - they were of excellent quality and very spacious. They were modern and well maintained. The kitchen was well kitted out for a holiday apartment. Air conditioning worked well. The balconies were large and great for sitting out on for an early evening drink.

Location - they are a little out of town which can have draw backs but also has its plus points - provides a really relaxing and secure location. Town and the beaches are easily reached by the local Dolmus or just over £5 for a taxi. Many restaurants will pick you up, and even drop you back off. The fact that you were a little way from town and the site was very secure meant that you could let the children have a bit more freedom

Staff - without doubt the biggest plus point of Whispering Sands. You got the feeling that this was a true family resort - run by families for families!! Nothing was ever too much trouble. I don’t think I have ever experience better service or friendlier staff.

Things to do - The kids loved the onsite club – Julie was great with the kids – and it gave you 3 hours of relaxation. The pool is fantastic and what ever the time of the day you could get a sun bed. The evening entertainment was just about right – something on every other night – that meant you could either go to town or have a quiet meal/drink around the pool bar. The entertainment was never too noisy or late, but if you are a light sleeper you might want an apartment away from the main pool area. The pool party is a legend and the kids think it was the best night ever! Plenty of trips to be had in the area from the usual boats/jeep safaris to some great sightseeing.

Food/Drink – Sean and his team work tirelessly (but always with a smile). The drinks were reasonable value and the food of a good quality. You could certainly eat there every night and not get bored or break the bank.

Thanks to all at Whispering Sands for making us so welcome and ensuring that we had a great holiday. Without doubt we will be back .

Hello Leon,

what a fabulous review you have written about your experience on holiday this summer at Whispering Sands.

You are so right about the children. They are planning next years holiday back at Whispering Sands with their new-found friends, and the parents are the last to be told!!!
Such is the attraction of this place, the atmosphere created by all the wonderful people who come here, but especially the children. It is they above all others who add the magic touch. It is their enthusiasm and willingness to make new friends and have fun that lights this place up. It's great to see kids of all ages have so much fun, learn to be less reliant on their parents every minute of the day, and be able to make new friends from all over the world.

And very simply...if the children are happy, the parents are happy and able to relax and enjoy their holiday too.
I hope your children get their wish and that I will see you all back here again next summer.
Be safe
Liam

had a great experience at wispering sands holiday complex.
appartements clean, and spacious, staff could not do enough for you, the pool area was very clean and alway was enough sun loungers which is rare in turkey.

i had my 8 year old son with us and he loved it, he wanted to book up for next year before we left. what made it so special for him, was the new independance he found whilst he was away this was because he found the complex very safe cameras are located throughout the grounds and security is on 24/7.
he especialy loved the kids club which ran from1230 - 1530 which of course was great for us the parents also giving us 3 hours total relaxation each day.
we will definatley be returning to this complex. i have been going to turkey for the last 15 yrs and this was definaltley one of the best.

My Dear Sonia T,

I am absolutely delighted that your family holiday went so well at Whispering Sands and that you all had such a great time. As an experienced traveller to Turkey, your opinion carries extra weight and meaning for us, and indeed, it lets others understand that Whispering Sands is definitely a great place to come for a holiday.
We had a great summer too and it was fantastic to see so many people come to stay here. It's astonishing, but the bookings are coming in already for next year. I think people realise that they need to book early to make sure they get in. Unfortunately we did have to turn a few people away this summer as we were full up for part of the season. I hope we will be able to get some more apartments sold and have more available for rent next year.

I believe we will have a huge demand for our holiday apartments next summer, and, I don't want to have to say "Sorry, none left" to anyone again.
We shall see.
And I hope I see you too.
Take care.

The place is a little far from the City Centre and the only way to commute from there is to take a taxi otherwise there's a long walk to the main road from where any sort of transport is available. The lady at the reception is very helpful and polite, makes sure that she accommodates everyone. The apartment is very nice and spacious however, they have been used alot so not completely new. It is not equipped with any amenities, so in case u need anything(water, soap, shampoo etc.) you gotta have your own. Sleep quality was average because the bed was very uncomfortable, mattress springs would hurt alot. We stayed only for two days and had a reasonably good stay. Recommended in small town such as Kusadasi!

Hello Sanaq,

Many thanks for taking the time to do a review on Whispering Sands. I am especially happy that you have done this because it highlights a new problem for us. At the beginning of the season we decided to allow Booking.com to be one of our agents. Their way of doing things is new to us and we have learned much from our business with them this year.

You have highlighted a number of the difficulties we have come up against in our dealings with them. Firstly, almost all of their customers think we are an hotel and expect us to provide shampoo and breakfast in the room rate. We are not a hotel. We are a self catering summer holiday resort of high quality apartments.

Secondly, even though we extensively advise and advertise that we are 2.5km from the town centre, it seems that their customers are unaware of this, and then complain or give us a poor review after they come here. It is strange that we say we are out of town and yet their customers come and are then unhappy at the distance from town, even though they have already been advised of this. We will have to address this issue with Booking.com.

Another problem that has arisen as a result of our association with Booking.com, is that we have allowed them to make one and two night bookings. This was a mistake on our part. Guests booking for one and two nights are coming here either to get a nights sleep or to go out on the town and therefore do not take advantage of the family oriented facilities we have to offer. This is a summer holiday family resort which means it will be noisy, as all wish to have a good time and enjoy their summer holiday break away from the stress and hassle of their work during the rest of the year. This is not a quiet retreat as some of our one and two night guests seem to think it should be.

Although the local transport bus stop is 200 metres away and many restaurants offer a free pick up and return shuttle service, and there is a dedicated taxi service at our entrance gate, many one and two night guests are misguided in believing that it is difficult to get into town. I think the big problem is that these customers are not here long enough to take the time to check out all that is available to them, and just complain right away without thinking.

Since we now have some experience of dealing with Booking.com. we have made some amendments to our terms with them. We have now changed our programme and from now on will not accept any bookings for less than 4 nights. We have also asked them to amend our advertisement details to better explain our resort and all that it has to offer.

I am very happy that you have highlighted these problems and allowed me the opportunity to amend and correct them. Perhaps I shall see you again at Whispering Sands, but next time it will have to be for longer than two nights!!!
Best wishes
Liam

Hi Mark R,

what I like about what you say is that you cover all the age ranges; the little ones, the teenagers and the adults, and everyone had a great time here.
Our Kids Club has been sensational this summer and has provided excellent down time for parents whilst their young children have been making new friends, learning new games, and generally just having fun in our Soft Play Zone.
Teenagers have been brilliant again this summer, and there have been many more of them here this year than last. Probably their favourite is the Pool Party Night. As you know it goes on a bit late and is noisy, but it is also one of the best nights you're likely to have on your holidays anywhere.
And not forgetting the parents; time to relax because the children are safe and happy; time to chill out because you will be back at work soon enough; time to enjoy our entertainment and join in if you want; time to be together.
This is what holidays are for. This is Whispering Sands.
Take care of yourself.

Just got back from 2 weeks at whispering sands with my wife, family and friends. Plus points: The apartments are excellent, spacious, fantastic aircon (no extra charge as some do, and very cold if needed!!!). Free safe if required. spacious kitchen, modern bathroom, lovely spacious balcony for chilling with a beer in the evening. Ate at the restaurant on site many nights - food excellent and reasonably priced. Bar with sky sports, staff helpful and friendly.
Fantastic pool with plenty of loungers etc.
Kusadasi is lovely, especially ladies beach - loads of restaurants along the front.
The only negative point is that it is slightly away from the town. Taxis are cheap (15 lira each way) however with a party of 12 it can start to add up. There is a local dolmus which is cheaper.
Tip : Lots of the restaurants in ladies beach and Kusadasi town will pick you up and drop you back if you eat there so get down early in the holiday and save on those taxi fares!!!
All in all a fantastic place, excellent value for money. Enjoyed by all.

Room Tip: rooms around pool noisy at night.

Hi Stegawalsall,

many thanks for your great review. It is always fantastic for us to have people write such positive things about Whispering Sands and those who work here. It encourages us to work harder so that we can continue to have happy guests and people leaving here wanting to get back again.

It is true that we are 2.5km from the town centre, but I believe this is an advantage as it allows us the opportunity to provide a safe gated environment for all the families who come here. We could not do that if we were in the town or on the beach. As you rightly point out, getting around from here is so easy and cheap with the Dolmus stop only 200m away and so many restaurants doing a free pick up and return shuttle service.
I believe this is a good location for families who do not want their children just wandering off willy-nilly, who want to be able to relax knowing that their children are here and are safe. It would be much more difficult to lie by the pool in these other locations, and not be concerned about the whereabouts of your children and checking up on them every 5 minutes.
At Whispering Sands you can relax.

I really appreciate that you came to Whispering Sands for your holidays and I hope you get a chance to come back again in the future.
Take care
Liam

Hi CathyMc71,

it is the wonderful people who come here who give Whispering Sands its heartbeat, its life and its soul.
Without our fantastic visitors this place would just be buildings, superb and high quality, yes, but nonetheless, just buildings. It takes you and all the other people who come here to breathe life into the fabric and it is you and everyone else who make this place tick. I am very grateful that you chose to come here because I know you have many choices available to you.
I hope you get the chance to come back again, but even if you don't, you will always be a part of the Whispering Sands family.
