“Warm, hospitable, homebase in Kusadasi”
Reviewed May 7, 2013

We loved the location in the not so touristic neighbourhood.Just enjoyed an all too brief stay at this delightful small hotel close to everything in Kusadasi. From the moment I came through the door and was warmly greeted upon my arrival to the time I was assisted into my taxi upon departure for the airport...I experienced a genuine Turkish hospitality at this stylishly contemporary (yet also warmly intimate) establishment. The rooms and the ensuite bathrooms, although on the smaller side, are cleverly designed yet very comfortable and come with all you may need. The handsome light-filled lobby (actually more like a casual living/dining room) functions during the morning as your venue for a liberal breakfast buffet with a made to order warm main dish being offered. The location is very close to the main city center. The staff of the hotel is very hospitable and helpful, the breakfast delicious and the rooms very good.

The hotel was awesome! Gorgeous swimming pool wich will be ready end of april. The botanic garden is the most cozzy palace that we seen ever. The people there were really friendly. The room was cleaned daily, towels changed every day and the sheets changed every couple of days. The maids even made pretty patterns of our beds.Sezgins is only 120m from the main city center and 200m to the harbour.

Room Tip: ps:try the fish bbq its the best fish that we ever had.

This is a great, boutique hotel with a limited number of rooms 20. Services include very nice rooms, with good beds, free wifi and a good breakfast served by an attentive staff. Location is really central at just 3 minutes walking distance of city center.I recommend it. The staff is extremely welcoming and friendly. The place is clean with nice facilities. They have a good size swimming pool wich will be opened end of april and free wireless internet as well.

We struck a rare hostel on our first night in Turkey with spacious and recently renovated rooms that was hotel standard but with a backpacker community feel. This was aided by the hosts Deniz and Sezgin who were great; firstly by picking us up at the Ferry terminal, ensuring our comfort and helping with recommendations and future bookings of transport and sightseeing tours. A cup of tea, chat and a laugh on arrival made us feel like repeat customers and very welcomed.
Deniz cooked us a great local breakfast with fresh ingredients from their garden including homemade olives, a great way to start the day.

Hotel Sezgin is located in the heart of Kushadasi, a five minute walk uphill from the city shopping. As I understand, the hotel recently underwent a major renovation and some minor things still had to be done. The biggest issue for me was the paint peeling off the ceiling in my single deluxe room. Sezgin, Denis and others made me feel right at home. Both speak English very well. For the price, it is definitely a bargain!
Sezgin prepared grilled fish one night that was fantastic. Be aware that you will need to pay for that meal. One young lady thought he prepared the meal for free.
If ever I return to Kushadasi, I will definitely stay at Hotel Sezgin and Guesthouse.
By the way, if you can, bring a license plate from your home state. Sezgin has a good start on a collection, but definitely could use more!

We went there during the off peak season. Pool was closed and place was empty but the location is good, short walk to the coast and many restaurants and shops nearby. Can look scary at night and there is a steep slope to climb but its good exercise. Breakfast in the garden was lovely. Sezgins himself drove us in his car to the port nearby and carried our luggages for us. Really gentlemanly. It's a family run business and wow, was really touched by how friendly and accommodating the staff were. Very chatty and always checking on us and looking out or us. Touched by the warm welcome and service. Rooms were so-so. Clean and warm with hot showers, had a balcony but not much of a view since pool was empty and closed. Toilet abit small but clean and most importantly has hot water! Overall would recommend this place!!! Loved my stay here and have to say, love Sezgin and his family!
