Cheap hotel Kusadasi

Review of Ozka Hotel
3.0 of 5 bubblesReviewed Sep 27, 2012
This hotel is veyr good for when you're travelling on a budget with a friend. The rooms are not big, but it is enough space for two people and suitcases. The facilities are not fancy, but sufficient.
I would not recommend this hotel to families travelling with (small) children. The childrens pool is really small and the hotel is located on a small hill so the walk up and down to the city centre can be challenging with a stroller. The isolation between the rooms is really bad so you can hear what your neighbour is doing and talking about. So if you're travelling with small children who goes to bed early or your significant other and want some privacy I would not recommend this hotel.
The nearest beach is located down in the city centre (a 10 min walk from the hotel) right next to a heavily trafficked street. I would not recommend this beach if you want peace and quiet. We took the bus til Ladies Beach or Long Beach instead (ca. 15 min. friom the city centre).

The buses go right by the hotel. Bus number 2 to will get you to the city center and then you have to change buses to get to the beach. The hotelstaff is friendly and helpful. but does not speak very much English. they can help you book a taxi or buy water, but not much more.

The hotel does not allow you to bring in food from outside. A poster at the reception says that they will charge the value of the food to your room, so be careful with that.

Room Tip: A/C is not included in the prize, you can buy it at the reception.

Booked this last minute hotel and was a little concerned on how cheap it was. We arrived early hours in the morning and was greated by the hotel manager, she was very friendly and first impressions the hotel was very clean. We have a side room and the view was not fantastic,we were offered to change rooms the following week but declined the offer. The room was very clean but could not push the single beds together as there was a fixed piece of furniture. The pool was rooftop and was lovely and clean even though on the small side, but well suited for the hotel. Very friendly staff and the manager was lovely, only down side was that they were not very happy when you brought food/drinks into the hotel. The view was amazing overlooking the bay,it was quite a walk to the front but we hired a moped and it was fantastic. We would return.

Room tip: we stayed in room 207 and it was fine, not a great view but at the end of the day we did not spend a great deal of time in there.

If you arrive in the night, save judgement until the next day after as the rooms are quite basic. The service in the hotel is excellent as is cleanliness the staff and management are top notch. The place feels very safe as unwanted guests are not tollerated at all. The pool is spotless With ample loungers, umbrellas etc and the views are amazing! The breakfast is basic Turkish but all fresh and plenty of it.

The location is about 10 mins from the center by dolmus or 15 mins walk, just take the number 2 dolmus back as the hill is quite steep!

All round we had a fantastic time and our 7 year son absolutely loved it and got spoiled rotten off the staff :)

we stayed at the ozka hotel, on the 30thjuly2011& we booked with thomas cook. when we were driving up , we didn't think it was right up teh hill.. 900m from beach? you would have to jump through fences to get there quick, the rooms were basic but the drains were stinking.. staff were really nice, and the receptionist's father was a taxi driver so we got it cheaper;D! the food was basic for a b&b. pool was all 6ft which ment you couldn't stand in it. after a day we our rep came and asked if we wanted to move. so we did! we moved to a 4star hotel, because we had a teenager with us, and tere was no other british people;/ so we moved to tusan beach resort-amaazing!

i would recommend this hotel to someone who wanted a rather basic holiday. or elder people as it was quite quiet, but not to a family with kids/teenagers. as there was no entertainment..

overall i'd give the hotel a 6/10

We found this hotel better than our first impression. Upon arriving I thought it looked a bit cheerless but after checking in ( night time check in ) and having a good nights sleep we were pleasantly surprised.
The room was a little tight for space but comfortable and clean non the less. The breakfast was of the continental variety - i.e. fresh bread , jams , cucumber , tomatoes etc. but of ample quantity and fresh.
The pool , though smallish, was clean with ample sunbeds. The best surprise was the views at sunset. The vista is seaward and on those occasions when the sun lowers itself , offering the deepest red I have ever seen , the view is stunning.
The hotel is located a few miles from any action but this suited myself and my wife giving us the ideal quiet get away. The local Dolmus stopped outside the hotel and was only a 15 minute ride into the centre of town.
The staff were very courteous and extremely helpful.
This turned out to be a little gem of a hotel and I am glad to have found it. I would love to go back when circumstances permit.
