This restaurant really exceeded my expectations. We saw a lot of locals eating so we gauged this as a good sign, even though it was not a trip advisor reviewed property. The lentil soup was flavorful and my partner and I had both had he grilled sea bass and it was delicious. The staff was attentive and they had free wifi as well. Overall, I highly recommend this place,

We were staying one night at a nearby hotel which included a free buffet dinner - one look at the food on offer and the decision to eat elsewhere was made. The 10 min walk to the marina area was worth it- we found Mezgit Restaurant, and had a fantastic meal. The food was fresh and tasty. We ate bread and tips, chicken and beef dishes, and then fruit for dessert. The white wine was lovely and I must make special note of the service provided by the waiters- they were very welcoming and eager to please. The owner was also very friendly and made an effort to talk to us. If you want great food and good prices- then go here!

If you like fish then this is the restaurant for you. Don't go for the fish on the menu as its farm reared. They have fresh fish to chose from each day from the local area. My wife and I ate here twice during our stay - the only place we wanted to go back to. They also did the prawn casserole as a starter - a favourite of ours in Turkey - it's an open casserole with prawns fresh veg and topped with melted cheese (beware if its any good the dish and content will be very hot when first served). Quite busy and well worth a reservation. Even though its on the main front marina road its makes for good people watching and is not too distracting once the food arrives as the food takes your mind off anything else.
The staff are very friendly and helpful. We were staying some way out of town and they sent one of the waiters to collect and return us free of charge. They will arrange this at a time to suit you and though we didn't you could have a walk around the marina or town and then go back.
A very good evening and one of the best restaurants we have eaten in abroad that is a "normal" restaurant.

We visited one evening, when staying 2 nights in a nearby hotel, whilst on tour. We'd walked along, looking at various establishements (none of which appealed) & retraced our steps back to this place.
The staff were welcoming, the prices reasonable, the food enjoyable & the setting just right for us, after a busy day travelling & site-seeing.
We got chatting to a guy who eats there virtually every night when he's in port on his yacht! Must be good then.

and step into Mezget where the fish is daily fresh, the food excellent and the service great. After a week of standard tour lunches, it was so nice to select our fish and have it cooked as we wished. The messe were great as well.
