For the second year in a row, our full family of 9 has traveled to Amara Dolce Vita on the Turkish Riviera, a 90-minute ride from the Antalya airport. Both trips have been during the off-season, but that just means the resort is trimmed back in attractions - not in service or quality. Service and quality of food is excellent - some a la carte restaurants are closed during the off-season, entertainment options are tailored to the smaller (30-40% of capacity, by my estimate) clientele.

The all-inclusive package makes this an easy-to-use resort. The off-season crowd is dominated by a German-based audience, with a fair number of Russian families and groups. There was a Russian convention at the start of this trip that swelled the client base by another 20% of capacity.

The rooms are generous in space, we had 3 in our room (my wife, daughter and me). We've stayed in both the Istanbul and Roma rooms - I preferred the Roma room size, but the convenience of the Istanbul location. The shower in the Roma room (first visit) took forever to get warm, not an issue in the Istanbul room, though consistency of temperature was poor (10C swing), pressure good.

The pools, fitness center, sauna and Turkish bath are first-class. Though the was lots of traffic in the sauna, steam room and Turkish bath early in the stay with the increase in the number of guests. During high season, I don't know if this will be an issue as the number of water based options will increase dramatically with warm weather.

Families are everywhere. Very family friendly. Rooms are supposed to be smoke-free (by Turkish law - fantastic). Unfortunately not all our adjacent neighbors took note of this!

WiFi could have been better. Too spotty. Service in lounge was reliable. In room, iPad worked, Mac and phones mostly didn't.

We had made use of the medical service on each visit, excellent help. We can even recommend (unfortunately a severe illness, unrelated to the resort) the local hospital in Kemmer. Hopefully you never have to use the service - but know you have piece of mind. Please make sure that you have excellent travel insurance (again unrelated to Dolce Vita), as I write this we are awaiting a finding that we can travel after a serious illness.

To wrap-up, Dolce Vita is a resort that delivers exceptional value. This year, we saw some blemishes we hadn't seen on our first visit, but nothing that diminished the experience. Great food, great relaxation - great value. We'll be back!

Room Tip: For tennis players, asks for rooms in Roma. Istanbul St offers large rooms away from the bustle of the main hotel. If staying in multi-story hotel is your thing then ask for a room in the main building.

My best vacation for many years,National holidays are grand. The sea is warm and clean, the people kind and smiling, sun-deficient.Let's go with the family for several years and think next year atkal.Ļoti ride quality and a good rest at this price. It is unfortunate that the month of August is no longer early breakfast at sea on a boat with champagne and sunrise.

We travelled to this hotel in September 2012. Before arrival we requested a high floor pool view room.We also looked at the online video.
We have travelled to turkey twice yearly for 6 years now and love the antalya area (normally go to side) decided to try the opposite side of antalya this time and were pleasantly surprised. The hotel is a long way from the airport 1.5hrs but this is not as bad as it seems due to the stunning scenery on the way.
The hotel is down the end of a road with a stretch of hotels all along it with the Dolce being the last one (no drop offs though as all transfers are private). If you have looked at the online video you will know that what you see is exactly what you get & it has deffinately got the wow factor from the time you arrive. We were welcomed with a cold flannel and some beautiful champagne and checkin was swift and pleasant with very polite, courteous staff.
We were taken to our room by golf buggy and at first thought we were miles from anywhere as we have never had this experience before. In fact the room even though was as far away from the main area as possible it was still only a couple of minutes walk away 3 at the most. With regards to location it was perfect it was top floor as requested overlooking the quiet pool (in fact this was exactly that only saw 10 people in it the whole time we were there) and a partial sea view too outside the door was a view of the beautiful pine forest (we were practically underneath the zoo) and it had rabbits and chickens running free in which was lovely to see the cockerels could be a bit loud if you like a layin though but to be honest with the air conditioning on you can't really hear them.
The room was beautiful with a well stocked mini bar, a cabinet with crisps, nuts & fruit plus tea and coffee facilities. The safe was free (normally a charge) plus there is a walk in wardrobe with a coded lock so all your valubles are completley safe. Dressing gowns & slippers are provided plus a nice selection of toiletries there is also separate shower & full size bath, 2 double beds and nice supple decor very pleasant and comfortable. We had only one lot of towel art but we were given a small box of chocs every night between 5 & 6 I think this is because we told them it was our anniversary when we arrived another english couple that we met didn't have any and they were on the same floor as us in the same block.
All the staff are extremely friendly and mostly speak good english (more than we do turkish) and the service was first class at all the bars with no wait for drinks even when busy. We also found that dispite english being in the minority (we were one of only 11 couples) no favourtism was shown which has been the case in other hotels popular with other nationalities.
We found the food in the main buffet very tasty with my husband living on fish most of the time whilst we were there and found no need to pay for the a la cartes (which we don't agree with maybe limit visits instead of charging as it is not a cheap place to stay in the first place).
Beach shoes are a must and as long as you have these you will be fine the sea is beautiful and clear and was like a warm bath to get into but because I'm not a strong swimmer we preferred the pool which even though is large is not busy plenty of sunloungers even at 9 in the morning no 630 starts for me :-)
The first week we were there we really enjoyed the entertainment especially the live music and thought the area they had the main entertainment in was stunning but lacked seating (not the ampitheatre the outside lounge bar) entertainment was repeated in the 10 days we were there which left us not knowing what to do with ourselves for 3 nights as we had already seen the entertainment this was a dissapointment as entertainment is usually done on a 2 week cycle(on previous experiences anyway).
Overall the holiday was one of the best we've had but for the price I would be dissappointed if it wasn't as we paid more for 10 days here than 2 weeks elsewhere. The hotel and all ammenities more than met our expectations and we would go back if the price was right tomorrow as it was the most relaxing holiday ever with top notch facilities.
Dissapointments were repeated entertainment (even though it was good)
Not for us but maybe others - lack of english guests & location although stunning is isolated hotel does make up for this though.
TOP TIP if you want an english paper they have them at the lobby bar free to read and return or if you do like us we would end our night there and take it with us to read around the pool the next day.

Room Tip: Can't really judge other rooms as we only spoke to people in the same block as us and they were happy with their room just like us.We couldn't have asked for better

i have been there for 4 days for business trip, it is nice hotel, stuff helpfull, it was late season but everynight there was animations and it was good...entrance is not big enough, when big bus is coming with full of people then other vehicles has to wait for a while because there is no space left for them...food was ok, in every meal i saw so much fruits and desert, that was good, main courses and cold starters was average but i can tell u that, it was the best baklava i ever had in whole antalya and too far better than most of the istanbul place...even better than "güllüoğlu" company...i eat 1 porsion baklava in every meal...they have nice pool side and so long beach side...but didnt like the style of the beach..it looks so cheap, they have a childrens game area beside the beach but it looks they throw it some corner...so many alacarte restaurant...but main restaurant is so close area, there is garden too but it is small...it is nice hotel and i can recommend everyone but not with this price...if u look price / performance then it is expensive...should be more cheaper, a lot more cheaper...and it is sooooo far from airport, it took 1.5 hour from airport to the hotel and also the hotel is in the end of tekirova, if u want to make little walk and see the town it is impossible, u have to walk a lot...

We spent two weeks with my wife here three years ago and were impressed with real luxury rest.
So, when our son has born we made decision to spend two week here again.
But we are impressed with penalty at this time.
We've booked a room with crib for our 11 month's son.
Hotel has provided old crib in bad condition: it's shaky and we really afraid about our son's safety.
We asked for another crib and explained problem on the reception. Crib was changed after third call to the reception during a day. Another crib was a little bit better, but in poor condition too.
We had a problem with room cleaning: floor wasn't washed (it's critical for little child). Problem was fixed after call on the reception.
Beach was dirty: our son found cigarette ends, bonnets of plastic bottles and another surprises in a sand.
Food in main restaurant became monotonous. Long queues for food. Problem with feeding for babies (at 10 o'clock we couldn't find yoghurt).
Broken lounges were on the beach.
So, I can't name this hotel "Luxury" now and we are disappointed.
Overprices: we tried to rent bungalow on the beach - 120 euro per day.
