“The cleanest hotel”
Reviewed October 6, 2012

This hotel is extremely large with something for almost everyone. It has tennis courts, football pitches, various sizes swimming pools, lots of slides in two of the pools. As well as the al la carte restaurants there are others to choose from too, the food is good with different themed nights. The entertainment was better than other similar hotels I have stayed in. Best of all, this is one of the cleanest hotels I have stayed in with great attention to detail. The only downfall was that we were the only British family in the hotel in amongst Germans and Russians. The only other negative was that I did start to feel a bit confined within the hotel as you had little reason to leave, but Side is a short trip away and made a nice change.

Arrived at 2am and our 1st impressions were of helpful staff. The restaurant staff had left some food on for us, our baggage and us taken to our club room in a golf buggy, and a lift back to make use of the 24hr bar! Any drink available.. just ask! Only the 2 of us but we got a family room, with bunk beds in a seperate room to the main room. Our bed was queen size and lovely, with a large room and nice practical furniture. The bathroom well designed with a shower wet room and loo seperate with a nazzy door. Safe, fridge (that got refilled every morning - free), TV with English channels. The only down side to the room for us was the small balcony and no sun as the rooms are built a woodland environment. Rooms cleaned everyday. However with a hotel this fantastic who would want to stay too long in the room! *** Now for the Fab bit *** The food at the Main and Club restaurant. Choices galore and cooked to perfection, beer and wine on tap. Beach bar is the same for a multi choice snack right in the bar. Huge Pools with sunbeds all available with no reservation all day. Bar staff friendly and the cleaning is continuous. Change of pool towels everyday. Have we mentioned the bars yet? Look out for NIHAT at the beach bar, he got our drinks ready as soon as we walked in and found a table. Grounds so tidy fit for a VIP visit as continous work ongoing in all aspects of the complex. Prepare yourselves for 5* treatment. Oh your in Turkey! but the Euro is used by 98% of all shops and taxis. This makes it more expensive for tourists, as they always work the exchange rate out in their favour! Go clued up on rates of exchange. Play parks for kids and loads of entertainers for them. Didn't have time to use the Spa. Life guards round all pools by day and security guards at night, this place feels so safe even though its so big and feels like your in a small village. Where everyone is happy! Would we go back? When is the next flight out? Best holiday ever all round.

Room Tip: Try and get the main building if with children as the outer ones have steep paths in places.

Our first holiday to Turkey & what a gem of a holiday centre, we can't fault the hotel as it exceeded our expectations, but the hotel guests appear to be about 80% German, 10% Russian & 10% British & as a consequence the hotel staff assume that every one is German & not all of the staff can speak English. This really is not the hotels fault but is something that the tour operator should make clear in their brochure information, so will be contacting them about that.
The moment when a member of the animation team came on stage in the ampitheatre wearing a t shirt with a union jack on the front with a silhouette of a Lancaster bomber coming out of it, in a theatre full of Germans was pure genius.

Just got home from our holiday staying at the Blue Waters resort , stayed there for 1 week, accomodation bit old fashioned and room and balcony bit small , as you walked around the complex you could see there was lots of fun going on with the kids in the family pool , plenty there for kids , park, mini zoo and entertainment of a night , food was very nice always something to choose from, the waiter service all around was excellant , the beach bar was were we spent are evenings enjoying the band and jokes with 2 lovely waiters niat and kereem they looked after us from day 1 and always found us a seat , after there we went to the 24hr bar to finish off our evening , very dark there tho outside , we stayed round the relaxing pool of a day but there was plenty of fun going on at the family pool , i would recommend this resort to anyone plenty there for everyone , weather fantanstic in the high 30,s , my 1 and only fault was the night time the lighting was very dark which i found to be a bit poor overall we had a great time and will be returning in the future ...

Room Tip: i would advise you to ask for the new rooms availavle in the hotel not the ones in the main building...

Stayed for one week with my partner. We had a lovely week. Accommodation lovely. Food was lovely too. Gorgeous scenery. Right on the beach with a number of pools to use at the accommodation. We haven't got any children but from what we saw there was lots for the children to do too, we stayed in the more relaxing pool area. Spa was nice more expensive than the spas you can book off the resort and was a little put off when they tried to sell us more massages, but just said no and the staff did not ask again. You could get the bus outside for 1 euro or pay Turkish lira (Turkey appears to like euros more though) and travel to the side or a bit further if you wish to leave the resort. We had a lovely week at this resort would highly recommend this place to couples or families with children.

Room Tip: we paid extra for garden room, but most rooms appear to have a nice view. Although the currency is...

Im currently at Blue Waters whilst typing this review. We head off home tomorrow; but what a fab week we've had! Firstly we are in the new part of the hotel and wow!!!!! We have a junior suite for 3 of us. It's huge, its modern and beautifully decorated, king sized bed, a child's bed (not a put up); 2 flat screen TV's; one in the separate lounge and one in the bedroom. The bathroom is pure luxury. It has a spâ bath; a huge walk-in shower cubicle with huge shower head; huge butler type sink plus complimentary bathrobes, slippers and toiletries. Amazing!!! The balcony is huge; it has a lounger on it plus table and chairs and a pull out airier. The balcony can be reached from either the bedroom or lounge. The air con is freezing; it's bliss. The minibar was stocked everyday with cold fizzy drinks and bottled water and tea/coffee supplies replenished. The cleaner does a stellar job; our suite is immaculate.

The resort is beautiful. No problem getting a sunbed at any of the pools and the staff are meticulous about keeping the poolside clean and constantly mopping up puddles of water to avoid slip ups. We stayed near a pool by the slides as my 7 year old daughter loved them. There was always a lifeguard at the top to make sure people didn't shove in front of others and that the exit to the slides were clear before letting anybody go down them. They were very on the ball and blew their whistles to get people to move.

Food was a sticking point for us. It's our first time all inclusive and I really don't enjoy the canteen feel at mealtimes. It was too hectic. The food was nice but not a huge variety or fussy children. The tables sit 8 and more often than not you found yourselves having to sit with either Germans or Russians who were blooming miserable! But strangely saw lots of them wearing union jack or England tops which to us was odd as at first we automatically thought they were British. The waiters did a fab job; how they keep happy and polite is amazing whilst dealing with so many people from all different nationalities.

All inclusive drinks were plentiful from all the bars all day; the agora bar also serves pasties in the afternoon. The local spirits and wine were disgusting though! The only two drinks I could vaguely stomach were rose wine and a cocktail called Hawana. This was a disappointment. Even the Baileys tasted odd. It kind of marred our evenings not having drinks we particularly enjoyed and there was no way we were going to spend €9 on a Jack Daniels and coke or €10 on a cocktail that had better known spirits in them when we paid to go all inclusive.

The beach bar and the agora bar are our favourites. The beach bar was for chilling out whilst out daughter played in the kids area on the beach whilst a security guard watched over them ensuring their safety whilst the agora bar in the club area was lively and gave the impression you were in a village square.

Most of the shows in the amphitheatre were amazing; Aladdin was awful!!!! Dubbed and lip sync was out; not sure they were even lip syncing to the same language and the cut ins were appalling!!! But the samba show and African show were amazing!!

Word of warning; mosquitoes and the sun! Two obvious ones I know but despite having a mosquito repellant in our room we got bitten badly. The sun; today it reached about 40 degrees. I've been slapping on factor 50 and 30 and still got burnt; having to stay under shade yesterday. It is very very hot here!!!

The only niggle is we did pay for a limited sea view but we overlook rubble! Not the resorts fault entirely as our room is amazing but we will be taking this up with first choice when we get back to the UK. Also Thomson & First Choice resort rep, Henry, is only part time which is beyond useless if you have a problem that needs addressing.

All in all we would definitely return.

Room Tip: Ask for the new side of the hotel; luxurious rooms

This is our 2nd visit to this resort, it was my sons and his cousins (age 15 and 16) choice to go back as they had such a wonderful time last year, and again neither they or we were dissapointed. We arrived at about 10pm, and directed to the club rooms, the boys had there own room a few doors down. The club side is very pretty surrounded by carefully tended gardens and are quite separate from the hotel. The rooms are spacious, with large comfortable bed and a reasonable amount of storage for clothes... There is a shower room, some of the showers are better than others! But the rooms are very clean and towels and bedding changed every day. The fridge is stocked everyday with water and fizzy pop, however the fridges never seem to work. There is air conditioning, again however the only time u will feel the benefit is when you have been out all day in the heat! It's noisy and doesn't blow out cold air.... There is a balcony but it's crowded when there is two of you on it! We didn't use it much as we were out most of the time n e way, good for hanging towels out though! You get given a towel card for each person and u can change them about 3/4 times a week. The down side of the club area are the steps (especialy for those with prams) and some parts of the steps from the top floor are pitch black.
We spent most of the time on the beach, the water is clear and very warm.... But WARNING the sand reaches an obscene temperature and have seen young children scream in agony when they haven't realised..... I have probably heard most swear words from other nationalities as they 'hot foot' it to get to the water!!! Wear flip flops! There was never n e issues to get beds.... Plentiful and always available, people only tend to reserve the beds that they are used to. The beach bar offers a great lunchtime venue with shade and a cool breeze, Turkish bread is cooked near by...the waiters are all very friendly and like to get to no you, but nearly always assume you are German. The resident photographers tend to prowl the beach area and initially we were hassled by them, they do tend to take snap photos of young children and like to get them to pose.
The gym isnt too badly equipped, cld do with being bigger, they will not let u in without trainers. The running track loops the hotel and is a mile round....do it early it gets hot!
The buffet style restaurant has a great choice of food, salads and fruits, themed evenings.... White nights, black and white, pirate night and a huge Turkish night, picnic style on the green with beautiful food, camel rides and dancers. The tables in the restaurant are shared and u can end up with smokers, grumpy Germans or a really great family to chat with.! The shows are great for the kids but we normally headed to the beach bar for the live music.
Taxi to side is norm 25-30 lira, gets busy during the evening, the traditional Turkish haggling isn't as good as it used to be.... They use euros but Personally I'd take lira u tend to get more for your money, but it's a personal choice.... I just walked around with a bit of paper with euro to lira to pounds on it.......2 recommended restaurants (if u want to get out) Aphrodite and orfoz which overlooks the sea and the sunsets are fantastic. The Apollo ruins are wonderful to look around.
The only downside to bluewaters is that the Germans tend to take priority over n e one else.....some are rude, arrogant and have no manners when it come to waiting, we've had doors shut in our faces, pushed and shoved when getting food, and they will push in when you have been waiting in the que...HOWEVER..... I'd go back to the place in a heartbeat.
