We did a last minute booking so got good discount. Check in was a bit hectic but luckily not many of us so not too bad. Nice clean room with pool and sea view. Room cleaned every day but towels only changed some days!!! Hairdryer in bathroom but not suitable if you need to style your hair- only suitable for drying it. ( the women will know what I mean). Mostly German guests so waiters spoke minimal English. This isn't a criticism just a fact and was not an issue for us personally. Buffet style meals with some freshly cooked items each meal...omelettes fried egg chicken etc. tables weren't cleared very fast so difficult to find empty table a couple of times but not too big a deal in February. Maybe an issue in summer tho :( Hot drinks available all day and biscuits and cake. Very well fed for a week. Wi fi in lobby only, but useful to keep up to date. Close to beach and nice easy walks in both directions. There is a supermarket near the hotel but we didn't find it till the last day. Migros is not on main road so maybe ask reception for directions. Went to Manavgat on market day but not on organised trip. It's a nice little town with a river and little riverside cafes so worth a visit just for a change of scene. Overall a lovely holiday and we would definitely go back... But definitely not in high season.

We have just returned from the side prenses, + had a lovely time. We was checked in very quickly + shown to our room which was the first room next to the lobby bar. It was a large room with 2 bedrooms, very modern + clean, we had a lovely sea view. We did have some noise from the bar like when they changed the barrels but nothing to keep us awake. The food was plentiful + always hot. The hotel was full of Germans + had tables reserved by the waiters with drinks on them in the restarant, which shouldn't happen but it never put us of or spoilt our holiday. The hotel is very central so u can walk out + explore. We walked along the sea front into Side several times which is a lovely walk. All in all a fab holiday + the weather was great to.

I have to say my experience staying at this hotel was very good. It was our first visit to Turkey and we were a little apprehensive but everything was excellent. The food was excellent and there were plenty of choices for everyone. The staff were helpful and we had no problems with them, check in was quick and efficient. Service in the bars and restaurant was very good and the room was perfectly fine and not too small. Overall I can only rate it as an excellent hotel, couldn't fault it any way and would definitely recommend.

Room Tip: Front rooms have a view of the sea, but there's nothing wrong with the others.

My wife and I spent a week at Side Prenses Hotel and Spa in February 2013. We booked late (within a week of travelling), and paid £266 each for flights, transfers, and all-inclusive accommodation. Extremely good value, and we were very happy overall with our stay.

Checking in was the worst experience. An unsmiling (frankly quite rude) man had us complete check in forms. He was trying to deal with several customers at the same time, and was hardly paying attention to anybody. We were given a room key. When we got to the allocated room, it was very small and overlooking the car park. We went back to reception and asked for a nicer room. We did this three further times until we were given a nice room with a sea view. The hotel was not full, and this was a very disappointing attitude to customer service.

Once we had settled into our room, everything went well for the rest of the week. The self-service food was fine, tasty, and plenty of choice every meal every day.

These are our top five recommendations for future travellers:

1. Walk from the hotel to the beach (use the lift under the 'Winehouse' rather than taking the stairs), turn left, and follow the path to Side town. A lovely walk.
2. In Side, go to the ancient theatre and the museum (which is the old baths). 10 Turkish Lira per person each venue, but worth it.
3. Try a 'mish mash' or mixed orange and pomegranite juices for 1 Euro at any one of 20+ sellers along the resort-town pathway.
4. Enjoy a Turkish bath (or 'Hamam'). In the hotel, we paid 55 Euro, while we saw them advertised in the street for 20-25 Euro. We just liked the convenience and cleanliness of the resort facilities.
5.There is a local trip agent at the bottom of the 'Winehouse' elevator - follow the few shops round to the left and left again. Much cheaper than hotel / tour operator prices.

A few negative points:
Sometimes a short wait for bar service, but came with a smile when it did (Tayfun was our favourite waiter).
A lot of Germans in town - when we did a bus tour to see the local sights, the commentary was only in German.
Quite a few stray dogs and cats around - not in the resort, though.

We read a few comments about 'tipping'. All I can say is we had no bad experiences. We gave a few small tips on the final day. There was no hinting or otherwise pushing for same at any time.

This hotel is lovely, dont imagine it would be so nice in summertime,as the number of guests would increase 10 fold and the facilities would be stretched. The rooms were basic but very clean. The food was plentiful, something for all tastes, you would have to be extremely fussy not to find something to your liking. The hotel is quite clearly geared towards German guests, English is not spoken with ease by anyone in reception.Everything was positive about this hotel except the Tip Boxes scattered around the place, even on reception, very cheap!!!

Room Tip: Dont accept a room on the Lobby level, it would be noisy

Traveled 9th to 16th November, weather mid 70's all week, but dropping cool by 6pm.
This was an all round good holiday, there were some people there looking for things to moan about. the place was full of octigenerian Germans there for between 3 and 12 weeks, but they were friendly and in general good value, we got adopted by one group who enjoyed practicing their English on us. The staff were polite and did have a bit of a problem with English as they have learnt some German to cater for the larger audience, my tip learn a bit of German before you go and this will stand you in good stead with the other guests and staff alike.
The food was both plentiful and of a wide variety, but be careful their cheese is very salty (but tasty). No matter what your preference in food you should find something to suit and the variety of breads on offer was fantastic. there are fridges around the place just filled with chilled bottled water.
The room we had was very spacious, up on the top floor on the corner of the building, it had a double be and a single bed, then 2 sofas that were single bed settees. It has 2 balconies, small but perfectly formed. the bathroom had a walk in shower which had good water pressure, but the water splashed into the bathroom floor and made it very slippy (put towels down). The bed was a bit soft for me and caused me back ache, but that's a personal preference and someone else may think they are too hard.
Internet is limited to the lobby area, but you can pick up a signal on the balcony outside ask at the reception for the password (its free). To get a beach/gym towel you have to pay a deposit at reception and you get it back at the end of the week.
The beach areas small and you have to walk about 300m from the hotel to get there, we didn't use it so can't really comment. I would say the walk on the promenade or breach is very pleasant and the sea very clean.
the gym is quite small but very few people use it and I never had to wait for equipment.
If you have an allergy to cats be warned they are everywhere, very cute but not good if you are asthmatic, but you can't mark the hotel down for this as they are all the same and the town cafes are no different.
NOTE we went out of season when a week AI inc flights only cost £350, you may have a different view on it being value for money or the facilities if its packed to the gunnels, you have to queue for tables in the dining room and you've paid 3x's as much.

Room Tip: If you get a room on the front (road side) on a lower floor the traffic starts early and the hotel i...

Travelled 2nd Nov to 16th Nov with First Choice. Lovely hotel and really good value for money at this time of year for a little winter sunshine. The Hotel itself is beautiful, it's clean and very well staffed. There are a majority of Germans at this time of year, but they were all very friendly and always said Good Morning etc. Unfortunately at this time of year many things are closing for the season, but we found loads to do. A lovely walk in the evenings along the promanade to the old town is nice, but be warned most of the shops shut at about 6.We had no trouble with the staff asking for tips, as other reviewers had said.We recieved good service all holiday from all staff.
We had to change rooms after the first night as we had been given a room at the front of the hotel and the view was very disappointing but the reception staff were very helpful and changed us to a lovely room overlooking Side.
Oh yes the pool is FREEZING, but the indoor one is fine!
All in all a fantastic break..

Room Tip: Ask for a pool view or overlooking the bay. Higher rooms = better view.
