My husband and I stayed at the Hanay during the first week of June. It's a clean, modern and well looked after apart hotel. The grounds are beautifully maintained and the pool area kept very clean and tidy. We were in Block D at the back and it was a little quiet for us but that is no fault of the hotel. We were originally placed on the top (4th) floor but my husband has an extreme fear of heights and was suffering badly and the management were extremely accommodating in moving us lower down. The Hanay is a little bit out of things but there are shops and restaurants in the immediate vicinity. The only thing that we weren't keen on is there is no facility to pay for food and drink at the bar area. We had two cocktails and after my husband insisting he wanted to pay he was sent up to reception to do so. It seems the idea is that you settle up at the end of your holiday, which isn't for us as we like to keep an eye on our budget. The maids did an excellent job daily and we looked forward to returning each day to see the fabulous towel art they left for us. For the main area head down to the beach and just keep left along the promenade, there are a variety shops, restaurants etc, side streets and eventually ending up in the old town which is full of bars, shops etc. To books trips I can 100% recommend Carlos at Richtig tours ...come of the hotel onto the main road and turn right, head down to the traffic lights, cross over the road and Carlos is on the left 'Richtig Tours'. Not only did he book our trips but was really helpful with any questions we had, even stopping a Dolmus and telling the driver where we wanted to go. If you head down to the beach, to the right of the large grass area is the Garden Beach cafe, excellent service and food at your free loungers plus very good at night with a live singer. Did a couple of trips, one being a boat trip. The boats are fantastic to see, all big decorated pirate ships. The other was the boat trip/waterfall/market trip, definately worth the £12 ish each that we paid. Whilst we were at The Hanay we seemed to be one of only two or three other English guests, the majority appeared to be German. We didn't see any entertainment whilst we were there but it might just be too early in the season, the bar was always very quiet on our return in the evenings. All in all, no major complaints, an excellent base for a beach holiday .

Room Tip: If you like to have something to look at whilst on your balcony then block D isn't for you.

Got a last minute deal and stayed for a week with a friend. Hotel was very clean and modern and the block we stayed in seemed new or recently renovated. Beds were very comfortable and room was cleaned every day. The temperature on the shower was tricky to get right but that is nit-picking. All the staff were really friendly and the bar was decent. Pool is really nice and lots of sun-loungers. Free wi-fi was bonus although you only got the signal if close to the window or on the balcony. Hotel is only 10-12 min walk from the beach (one of the reviews said 60mins!? completely wrong). The restaurant opposite the hotel called Cihan is excellent and lots of locals eat there as the food is so good and the prices far more reasonable than by the beach.

The hotel is clean, cozy and has friendly staff. Rooms were cleaned daily. We arranged a transfer from the hotel and the driver named Erkan who picked us up is a nice guy. Hassan at reception was helpful when asking for directions and places to go and things to do.

Food at the restaurant is ok and the restaurant staff are very friendly.
Even at our checkout they asked us if we were happy with the service provided to us. Clearly shows they take their job seriously.

Location of the hotel is good with restaurants, shopping and beach all within walking distance.
would definitely recommend and will most surely go back.

The first time i went with my teen it was good. The second time round the hotel room self catering was nice but the bathroom had some mould in the bath tub around the edges, but the room was cleaned daily. Gauranteed sunshine every day during july and august months. Was able to get around okay on foot or public transport. About a ten min walk to the beach but a steep walk back from the beach, but okay if you like exercise and like to loose a little winter fat. The restaurant was open all day and ecening, and there was a supermarket opposite which is good for self catering shopping. There is also good local amenities like a phonebox, bureau de change, cash machine on the street, and also wifi at the reception lobby area too.

The only downside was the slide at the pool area then back in summer 13 seeemed old and not that smooth on the way down so not sure how safe it is, and it only gets switched on a few hours a day. During the summer months it is very busy by poolside so you have to get up and reserve your seats if you want a good spot and a brolly, as there are lots of family there. I think what they should do is put on some new things for guests to make it interersting each year and hopefully they have purchased a new robust slide for the kids!
If you go have a great time if you go, you can also book local excursions too but they cost fron 50tl to 150 tl per person so bring lots of cash to cover this advance if going with a family.

Room Tip: Self catering is good.
