Booked our holiday through On The Beach but would NOTuse them again as pick up failed to turn up at airport.Local Cosmos rep was very helpful but Fiesta Travel said they had no note of our booking but would contact On The Beach. Needless to say they didn't and Cosmos rep had to fax our paperwork through.Only then did they agree on return pick up. they were 45 mins late then driver stopped for 20 minute break 15 mins into journey. We were very glad to reach aiport just in time for our flight!
Our one bedroom apartment in annex was on 2 floors and as it was on the corner had 4 balconies which was great. The apartment was cleaned and we were given 6 fresh towels every day. Annex and pool area was quieter which suited us fine!

Room Tip: Annex rooms bigger and less noisy.Corner rooms have extra balcony.

Have just returned from spending two weeks at the Sun City Apartments, Side with my partner. I have to say the old Village of Side was spectacular but what a trek we had to get there. Initially when we were dropped off at the apartments at 5.45 in the morning we were unbelievably tired from the flight and I could'nt believe how remote and off road the apartments were. We travelled down a long dusty badly lit road that seemed to lead to nowhere. 0nce inside we were greeted by Staff who were exceptionally rude and abrupt - this continued throughout the whole stay but moreso to English tourists. If you were Dutch, Scandinavian or German they were more respectful. 0nly one member of the Bar Staff was obliging and friendly. There was a convenience store in the complex which was handy for purchasing bottled water and essentials, but overall the apartments were noisy, there was a barking poodle who barked continuously during our first week, the pool was constantly noisy with screaming children, so bad we moved to a room located on the 3rd floor as we had been put in a room on the ground floor initially. 0n Sunday nights (Turkish Night) was the best entertainment with local dancing (excellent performances) as the rest of the time it was amateur and frankly rubbish. We booked several trips away from the complex in order to enjoy ourselves as otherwise the holiday would have been misersable. Would recommend visiting Anatalya waterfalls (incredible) and the old village, Side (ruins awesome) which were excellent and enjoyable and spent a lot of our time there, but a long trek from the apartments and in such heat. We also noted at Side the shop keepers were much more harrassing and rude in some cases, than other resorts we had stayed at in previous years. This was our third trip to Turkey having stayed at Icmeler and 0lu Deniz in the past which were very nice and enjoyable.

We used the Dolmus bus on two occasions only, quite reasonable to travel this way. Room service was average, sheets and towels were changed quite regularly but had seen better days, the towels were quite badly frayed and worn. Sheets also ripped in places.

Would visit Side again but sadly not the Sun City Apartments - wrong location too far from places of interest and beach. Downhill all the way to the beach but a very steep hill returning. Quite nice places to eat within walking distance. We did witness the Night Manager acting in a very rude manner, shouting to a resident who had simply asked for a receipt. Also check your drinks tab and ask for a breakdown for all drinks and meals (if you eat in house) as they are booked to your hotel room and you pay when you check out or would recommend settling your bill every few days as drinks are extremely expensive at Sun City and the bill can add up to hundreds of lira in no time and we were only drinking iced tea and soft drinks ! Also take into account you can ask to stay in your room if you have a late flight home as we did but were charged an extra 60 lira (£25) just for six additional hours from midday to 6 pm. We still had to hang around until 11.15 pm until our coach arrived to pick us up for the airport. Checking out is midday. To summarise it was a budget holiday but an exceedlingly low budget accommodation - sadly.

Room Tip: It's convenient for carrying luggage to have a ground floor apartment but you will find this so...

Myself and my boyfriend have just returned from a week staying in Sun City Apartments. We were staying in the apartments across the street from the main apartments which suited us as it was much quieter at the pool. The first room we were put in was very nice apart from some problems with ants, and we were promptly moved to a bigger apartment which was very nice too, although could have done with a little improvement. The maids came every day with fresh towels which was great. We did not eat or drink at the hotel as we were self catering and liked to eat somewhere different every night. Our favourite restaurants were Sultan Blue and Cihans which were both just around the corner from the hotel. We also used the A101 supermarket and the small market at the hotel for food essentials. The hotel also ran a free shuttle bus to the beach every day which was good, but make sure you get there early for the return bus as they are always very busy.

We really enjoyed our holiday and it was our first time visiting Turkey. We paid a very good price for this holiday so cannot complain overall. I would definitely recommend visiting Side but maybe pay a little more for a nicer hotel.

Had a weeks holiday here. We normally visit Marmaris and have done for the last 16 years. The complex was lovely. Reception staff nice, maids did great job, pools lovely too. Weather amazing.
I don't know whether it's because we have always gone to Marmaris on holiday but the banter, helpfulness and what we think is normal in Turkey was missing!!!? Hardly any of the staff spoke to us, even to say hi...
We won't be returning to Side or Sun City Apartments.

Room Tip: There are no lifts. Studio was ample for 2. Safe in room.

Just returned from 2 weeks at the sun city. Hotel is nice, great pools and slides.
We went self catering so we eat only few times at the hotel. It was ok.
The poolbar boy is the best(bar near the slides). Best wishes to him!

Kids minidisco-nice, entertaiment for adults-well, ok. You should buy new karaokemachine.

Umut restaurant near the hotel is the best in Side! You shoud try that.

Just back from a week in Sun City, its a nice complex which has potential. Two pools one with slides for the children, these were very clean. The rooms while needing a lick of paint were adequate although the kettle was broken, The maids did a great job and came in daily and changed towels and made beds sometimes with flowers scattered over the bed which was a nice touch. There are no lifts in Sun City so if you have mobility problems book a ground floor room. You will pay extra for air con which is needed when the temperatures are in the thirties, only draw back was that you couldn't leave it on while you were out as your key was attached to the key fob which ran the electricity.

Apart from a couple of staff who were pleasant we found the rest to be rude, unhelpful and never smiled. We always made a point of saying hello but rarely got a response. Drinks and meals were charged to your room number which you can pay this at anytime at reception we had a huge bill one morning and as it wasn't itemised there was no way of disputing it so had no choice but to pay, From then on we paid cash at the bar for drinks which wasn't liked. We found staff frequently couldn't do the maths and got the price wrong. At one point I was told abruptly by a staff member that he was capable of taking an order while my partner was at the bar ordering. The masseur is obnoxious, he asked if we were English and when we said we were he told us to come with him, when I told him we were having breakfast he stormed off and never looked at us again throughout our stay. Staff certainly need training in hospitality and get a sense of humour

There is an option to keep your room after midday if you have a late departure, you will pay extra for this and there are two prices we paid 60TL to keep the room on until 6pm you pay more if you want to stay later.

The location is not the best although there a few nice places to eat just around the corner, Cihan has a great menu and lovely food. There is also the 101 supermarket opposite Cihan for your groceries which is reasonable. A booking office for your trips is here too, The boat trip to Manavgat and the market cost 26 pound, a good trip but no English commentary for the sites you were seeing catering mainly for German people,

The hotel does run a free daily shuttle bus to Royal Beach which is nice and less crowded than the closer one which is about a 15 minute walk, lots more going on here, I recommend you try Troys Restaurant bar, sunbeds free when you eat and drink there. Omar and Darin were fantastic hosts, Omar picked us up from Sun City one evening and we had a wonderful meal there. Omar will also help to organise a turkish massage (Hamam) at Prestige V.I,P costs 40TL excellent value for 2hrs

Room Tip: There are no lifts at Sun City so if you have mobility problems book a ground floor room, also the a...
