“Not great”
2 of 5 bubbles Reviewed September 10, 2012

Arrived early morning, siutcase grabbed by elderly man, passports grabbed by receptionist, suitcase delivered to room, hand out demanding TIP.......not good start. First day no water for shower and no electricity (everyone shouting Technik!!!!). Take a pen and paper to the bar with you as if you dont keep a note of what you order they will always add extras on. Watch that they dont add on to your room bill as well. Double charged one couple for air con (they paid up front) then called the army in to evict them when they wouldnt pay again!!!!!! Food far too expensive and not very good, eat elsewhere. Toilet stopped flushing on 3 separate days and had to really kick off to get it fixed. #Shower door fell on my head and a cleaners head, 3 days to get that fixed and broken parts dumoed on shower floor where my partner stepped on them and hurt his foot. One huge pot and one frying pan (they dont want you cooking in the rooms but spending at their restaurant). Hundreds of children (not sutable for couples wanting a quiet break). Some staff were lovely but very obviously not trusted by the management, only management allowed to handle money and it takes ages for them to bring your change.

Room Tip: Not 321, its on the ground floor next to the road and the path the cleaners use so no privacy at all...

I was travelling 2 adults and 2 kids the apartments were newly renovated and clean. They had 2 slides in a separate pool that were open twice a day. They have a large pool as well as a small baby pool. We had a short walk to the beach and restaurants/shops and a bus ride to the old town and more choice restaurants/shops, and old amphitheatre and Apollo ruins. Very good base and close to supermarkets for self catering and the weekly outdoor market held on a saturday was a 5 minute walk from the apartments. Side a very nice resort with sandy beach, long promenade to walk on and bohemian at night with bean bags on the beach with lanterns and water pipes or drinks served by candlelight. A very upmarket resort at the same time respectful of its history dating back to 200 ad Greek times a very nice change from rowdy Marmaris.

Broken drains at poolside unrepaired, Filthy sunbeds with burst padding and in desperate need of some Fabreze, Bins overflowing, Dirty towels hung up in room, Floors unswept, Staff interested only in tips, one lady in our party took ill staff turned a blind eye, staff would pester us for unpaid bills ?? we paid cash ! One guy paid for 1 beer(7 Lira) with a 100 Lira note when he equired about his change(93 Lira) he was told the staff had put it in the tip box ? Unreal yet true ! Food diabolical , Prices were absolutely shockingly high. When returning to Hotel if you walked through the bar they had you a beer poured ? Wasnt asked for yet they put it on your bill ! On the night before we left they emptied 2 couples rooms and left their luggage in the bar claiming they hadnt paid for room and tried to extort more money from them with threats of calling the Jendarma (local police). Without a dobt the worst experience of my many holidays abroad.

Just back from 2 wks here room was cleaned for the first wk ! second wk same bedding for 3 days the maids even put the same dirty sheets back on the bed !! The staff were very ignorant one of the days a took not well at the pool not one member of staff came to see what was wrong . The prices were a disgrace !! Had to eat out every night . The entertainment was bad 2 night entertainment and that was from the staff !!! Sun loungers were filthy the drains round the pool were all broken and noone attempted to sort them . It was money for everything !!! A pure money orientated hotel would never go back if it was for free and certainly would never recommend it to anyone so glad a never took my kids with us really disappointed !!!

Well I got back this morning from the "Cats Garden Hotel" . Firstly I was booked for a weeks holiday which my daughter and where looking forward too! Only to find out that we where only booked in for 5 nights. The room was ok, but if u wanted to cook anything in The apartment it wasn't going to happen. We only had half a blunt knife, a frying pan and 1 saucepan together with a 2 ring plate. There was no kettle, but u could hire one for the week at 25Lr. No toaster, oven etc. we did have a fridge but it was broken and they didn't fix until the evening before we left. If it wasn't for the other guessed we would of had a cold drink. The prices in the hotel hotel are just so expensive, your better off eating out, there are some nice places around the area. We booked trips threw the hotel rep, I wouldn't advise anyone doing this as its a rip off! The place was clean and tidy, I'll give the place credit for that, but I'm afraid all they want is your money, there are charges upon charges at this place!!!

I was a bit wary after reading some of the other reviews on here but I need not have worried. The outside of the hotel is a bit off-putting with what seems like a derilict piece of land right next to ther hotel but once you go through into the hotel grounds it is fine.
Check-in was efficient and we were hel[ed to our room with the luggage (you can tip in British pounds and, I presume, other currencies). The room was large and clean and looked quite new.
There is no bath, only a shower. A/C is charged as is the rental of a kettle nor is there a T.V. in the room.
Some pictures of the hotel suggest that it is surrounded by garden, this is not the case as a new hotel has been built next to the hotel and the hotel itself has built new blocks.
There are 2 swimming pools both of which were cleaned every day whil;st we were there and were very clean. The smaller, childrens pool, has 2 water slides which operate for 1 hour in the morning and 1 hour in the afternoon.
In the main the staff are very friendly with one or two exceptions, mainly those on reception.
It is more expensive in thre hotel for most things rather than just going outside.
My one complaint is that we paid to stay in the room until 6:00p.m. and we were told to leave at 5:00 with no apology.
The beach is about 10-15 mins walk away down a hill where there are many bars and restaurants. Side itself is slightly further but you can get a bus or taxi. Side itself is absoloutly packed at night but if you can stand the heat it is less busy during the day.
There is a market just outside the hotel on a Saturday which starts to close down at about 2:00. Just make sure you haggle.
Manavgat is also worth a trip on the dolmus asa is Manavgat Waterfall which can also be reached by changing dolmus at Manavgat.
I'm sure that there are better hotels and better located ones but this is fine. I would stop here again.

we paid for 8 days but we were asked to pay 75TL to keep the room until midnight on the 7th night.it was very expensive at the hotel but it was good service from the waiters.the air-con was a joke, 10TL per day and it was ancient and absolute rubbish.there were no lifts at all so god help anyone on top floor who may be disabled.when we got there at 5.30am,a guy showed us our room on the top floor and carried only one of our cases up the stairs.we didnt ask him to do this but when we got to our room, he put his hand out and said he wanted a tip.i gave him £2 then he left looking disappointed.another thing was the entertainment.apart from a monday night when it was turkish night when they had turkish food,a dance act and a belly dancer who danced the same thing over and over for 15 minutes, there was none at all.and by the way, this costs £38 each. YES.ENGLISH POUNDS.there is very little as regards outside restaurants.we found the Red Lion to be fine and within walking distance from the hotel.if you like the mosques, then this is the place for you.the nearby mosque was fascinating to go into and have a look around but beware, every 4 hours the praying is heard very clearly across the area via loud speakers.its not too bad but i wouldnt advise leaving any doors or windows open when its time for bed.i must say that the waiters were excellent.they really couldnt do enough for you and at no time were they any hassle.we really didnt mind tipping them each time we settled our bill.it was just a shame that such nice guys, earning a pittance but worked for such a rotten hotel.they really deserved to work for a better employer.the room had no tv and considering we went self catering ive seen nothing like it.we had half a bread knife, one cup,one saucepan,a mixing bowl andno kettle.if you wanted a kettle you had to rent one for 25TL a week.we requested a pool view and ended up with a view of the corner of a different pool.also the cleaners were turning up every day at 10am and waking us up as they were cleaning the rooms below us.sadly,we we never go back to cats gardens but i wish anybody a nice holiday if they choose this hotel.
