I was a bit wary after reading some of the other reviews on here but I need not have worried. The outside of the hotel is a bit off-putting with what seems like a derilict piece of land right next to ther hotel but once you go through into the hotel grounds it is fine.
Check-in was efficient and we were hel[ed to our room with the luggage (you can tip in British pounds and, I presume, other currencies). The room was large and clean and looked quite new.
There is no bath, only a shower. A/C is charged as is the rental of a kettle nor is there a T.V. in the room.
Some pictures of the hotel suggest that it is surrounded by garden, this is not the case as a new hotel has been built next to the hotel and the hotel itself has built new blocks.
There are 2 swimming pools both of which were cleaned every day whil;st we were there and were very clean. The smaller, childrens pool, has 2 water slides which operate for 1 hour in the morning and 1 hour in the afternoon.
In the main the staff are very friendly with one or two exceptions, mainly those on reception.
It is more expensive in thre hotel for most things rather than just going outside.
My one complaint is that we paid to stay in the room until 6:00p.m. and we were told to leave at 5:00 with no apology.
The beach is about 10-15 mins walk away down a hill where there are many bars and restaurants. Side itself is slightly further but you can get a bus or taxi. Side itself is absoloutly packed at night but if you can stand the heat it is less busy during the day.
There is a market just outside the hotel on a Saturday which starts to close down at about 2:00. Just make sure you haggle.
Manavgat is also worth a trip on the dolmus asa is Manavgat Waterfall which can also be reached by changing dolmus at Manavgat.
I'm sure that there are better hotels and better located ones but this is fine. I would stop here again.

we paid for 8 days but we were asked to pay 75TL to keep the room until midnight on the 7th night.it was very expensive at the hotel but it was good service from the waiters.the air-con was a joke, 10TL per day and it was ancient and absolute rubbish.there were no lifts at all so god help anyone on top floor who may be disabled.when we got there at 5.30am,a guy showed us our room on the top floor and carried only one of our cases up the stairs.we didnt ask him to do this but when we got to our room, he put his hand out and said he wanted a tip.i gave him £2 then he left looking disappointed.another thing was the entertainment.apart from a monday night when it was turkish night when they had turkish food,a dance act and a belly dancer who danced the same thing over and over for 15 minutes, there was none at all.and by the way, this costs £38 each. YES.ENGLISH POUNDS.there is very little as regards outside restaurants.we found the Red Lion to be fine and within walking distance from the hotel.if you like the mosques, then this is the place for you.the nearby mosque was fascinating to go into and have a look around but beware, every 4 hours the praying is heard very clearly across the area via loud speakers.its not too bad but i wouldnt advise leaving any doors or windows open when its time for bed.i must say that the waiters were excellent.they really couldnt do enough for you and at no time were they any hassle.we really didnt mind tipping them each time we settled our bill.it was just a shame that such nice guys, earning a pittance but worked for such a rotten hotel.they really deserved to work for a better employer.the room had no tv and considering we went self catering ive seen nothing like it.we had half a bread knife, one cup,one saucepan,a mixing bowl andno kettle.if you wanted a kettle you had to rent one for 25TL a week.we requested a pool view and ended up with a view of the corner of a different pool.also the cleaners were turning up every day at 10am and waking us up as they were cleaning the rooms below us.sadly,we we never go back to cats gardens but i wish anybody a nice holiday if they choose this hotel.

Had a week at Cat`s Gardens and after looking at all the reviews felt quite positive about the place. Arrived at 4 am in the morning and we were checked in by a guy who demanded our passports and when I asked why he didn`t answer and said we`d have them back in the morning. When we were shown to our room it was quite nice, but when you sat on the loo you had an unexpected shower as there was a leak in the ceiling and it looked as if it had been there a long time and the ceiling was bowing. I was afraid that it would collapse on my grandaughter`s head (aged 8) Did report it but three days later nothing had been done and then lo and behold we came back one day and a hole appeared out in the hallway ceiling and a bucket was catching water! No kettle in the self catering apartment which I thought was ridiculous but you could rent one for 25 turkish lira. Cleaning staff really nice and the pool was clean but bar and restaurant staff bit sullen. The food at the restarant wasn`t too clever and a bit pricey but we found a restaurant bar very close by which had exquisite food and at a good price The Tukan and the host was ismet who was very pleasant and welcoming.

We stayed at Cats Kitty Garden in side 4 years ago & since then the hotel has roughly doubled in size. That has been for the better, as the place has a more lively family atmosphere. The original buildings rooms have been revamped with new kitchen units & modern bathrooms. The new block roughly twice as long but half the width where my dad stayed was very modern with chrome fittings & same kitchen\bathroom fittings. The rooms were cleaned & beding\towels changed every day. It needs to be because if you havnt been Side before its scorching, hotter than Bodrum, Izmir & Dalaman. We stayed the last 10 days of July & it was 39-46 degrees in the day & 34-38 degrees at night. Which was pretty much the same as when we last stayed in Side. The rooms offer air-conditioning at 10Tlr a day, ours worked fine & also the ones in the 2 other rooms that my family were staying in. The cooking facilities were very basic a portable electric hob with dual plates. The fridge was only a couple of years old & worked fine same as other rooms. The hotel now has its own shop, hairdressers & a couple of water slides (only open 2hrs in morning & 2 hrs afternoon) along with the new accomodation block. The staff are all friendly & not suffocating there is obviously a sense of order as you will see them snap to attention when certain members of staff pass by. The hotel is about 20 minute walk to nearest beach & 30 minute walk to the Centrum area of Side. Its was a fixed price in taxi from hotel to Centrum area of £5.55 of 15Tlr. Some restaurants (Paradise) will re-emburse you taxi if you eat in the restaurant & offer free transfers. This hotel is very close to a Mosque & on 3 of the 10 nights at 0430 we were woken by the call to prayer. Other members of my family were also woken intermitenly over the period. This can be taken in 2 ways as annoying or as I always find pleasing. It reminds me that Im in Turkey during my sleep & that the reason i go Turkey is becClean, well ranause of the culture & the people & that Im in the fortunate position to be able to submers myself in it. The 2 children however were not woken at all (6\12yrs). The hotel is mainly English & Scandanavian (Norway & Denmark) visitors. We ate breakfast everyday which was fine & proper bacon & used the restaurant at night & it was fine. I would stay again & recommend to anyone after a cheap, nice hotel for a family holiday. There is free wi-fi but only in lobby & round bar.

Room Tip: rooms 206/208/212 & 106/108/112 the balcony faces the mosque as opposed to 205/207/211 & 105...

Having read some reviews I was a bit concerned. I did not need to be. The staff are far from unfriendly, they are a great crew. I wonder what some people expect for the money the pay. The Good points. Spotless and spacious rooms that are pleasently furished. Great staff. Onsite shop, hairdresser. waiter service for drinks around pool, What food we had there was good but simple. Bad Points. The site has been overdeveloped so it is a bit noisy and crowded. Minimal kitchen equipment, dont think you are going to really cook. No lifts.
Good place for family holiday but not for couples that don't want hoards of kids running everywhere.

Room Tip: We had rooms on the top floor of d block and they were very good

Me, my fiancée and a 13 months old daughter had a 14 days vacation(July 2012) on this hotel.
The staff and crew showed me a very good organized hotel, and it was clearly that the good chemistry among them, also spread to the guests. Teamwork = A++. Would espesially thank them for taking so good care of our daughter. They realy loves children and are not afraid to show it. I was a little sceptical for a vacation in Turkey, but I want to go back now.

The hotel room was a two rooms appartment. Airconditioned with a good size fridge and two cooking plates. Tiled flooring and a nice bathroom. We had a wiew over the pool area and that was nice. The room was cleaned every day and we got new towles also. She even took our dishes.

The food was good, but..... When I wisit Turkey and want to taste propper turkish cousine, I want them to bring it on, with all the spices and seasonings that belongs to the meal. They didn't, mybe due too previous customers complains over too hot food. Ask for additional seasonings when ordering your food.

Poolarea and pools were cleaned and chlorinated every day. It's a bit expensive to order drinks, juices and sodas for a whole day, if you're coming with a family.

All in all, I'm only have positive memories about this place and will return.
