Firstly a BIG Thank You to Penny.
We arrived at the Beach house in the evening and we new straight away this was exactly what we were looking for. Situated right in the heart of the old town and directly in front of the beach, Full of Character and Charm.
The staff were lovely, very frienfly and helpfull. ~The Turkish breakfast was a great way to start the day. Feta cheese, bread, olives and egg with tea or coffee. We ate a few time in the Soundwaves restaurant next door for lunch and dinner and each time it was spot on. Freshly caught fish to die for. There are lots of good local restaurant also within walking distance.
The rooms are traditional in style and decor, a few have been updated in the front of the hotel. We had a massive balcony on the 4th floor with a stunning view of the bay. Sunbeds are £2 per day and well worth it, we pitched ourselves on the left hand side of the beach and had the sun till the bitter end. Bliss.
All in all a very relaxing holiday with the Traditonal feel of Turkey. not stuck in a 5* All inclusive with no idea where you really are!!

Room Tip: Front facing on any floor are great

We stayed here for a week in October after booking late through Thomsons. The Hotel is in a brilliant location right across the road from the beach. However, the public areas are looking a bit tired and some of the rooms are in need of a complete refurbishment (including our room 405).
There are no fridges in the rooms and only one on the 3rd floor landing for water and medicines.
We e-mailed the hotel to request a sea-view room and this was agreed with the owner Penny at a cost of 7 pounds per night. However, on arrival the room had already been allocated to somebody else and we had to make do with a side room. This was very disappointing on the occasion of our Golden Wedding (previously explained to Penny in our e-mail).
The breakfast needs some variation as it was exactly the same every day (cold hard-boiled egg, cheese and salad).
However the hotel does have a certain charm and I have to say I would return as it represents good value for money but would make sure of a sea view room.

Room Tip: E-mail hotel direct for a sea front facing room.

This is a nice hotel in a great location and remains good value for money.
Unfortunately it's standards are slipping. Penny, the owner, was fine after a poor start (a brusque enquiry on whether I was a resident when I asked for the wifi code - I had booked in with someone else) but the hotel waiting staff need stronger management. There is a particularly unpleasant man - I suspect Penny knows who he is - who tried to pressurise my learning disabled brother to order another drink and who was clearly a bad influence on the other staff. Service was rough and ready and breakfast (spartan) is served at their convenience. On our final morning we came down for breakfast at the start time - 8.15 and were finally served at 8.45. No apologies for the delay.
It's shame to see a good hotel going down.
Come on Penny - sort it out.

Room Tip: Front rooms facing the sea would be best

We have just returned from our first stay at the hotel and it was brilliant. The hotel and rooms are spotless and the staff efficient and friendly. We were upgraded at no cost to a room on the top floor with fabulous views (thanks Penny). This is a small hotel which is perfectly placed in Side for getting about or just hopping across the road to the beach. If you like big soulless hotels with all inclusive, don't book here but if small and friendly is your thing then you can't go wrong. The garden at the back is a bonus, as is the roof terrace, which provides some welcome shade and chilling space. Ali & Penny are hands on and always around the place but not in your face. We met several people who have stayed numerous times and we can see why. A vast library of books is available to borrow and the free wifi was a must for us. Looking forward to booking for next year.

Room Tip: Sea views are worth paying a little extra for and the higher up the better the view.
