“Not bad at all”

It is a medium size hotel, not a big one as Royal or Delphin hotels, but is very good. The location si very nice, not so far for the airport (aprox. 1h and half.). Rooms are OK, not so clean as I've expected. For example they didn't changed our linnen during our stay (1 week). they changed only the bathroom towels. The minibar was not refilled daily (2 days not), but it was not such a problem for me in order to affect my holiday.
The beach is so nice! It's very good with sandy and lots of sun chairs (the only thing I didn't like on the beach was the toilets which are not so clean as I've expected, not for a 5* hotel). fo
Very, very prompt services in the main restaurant. I didn't try a la carte restaurants. They have international menus, asian night, italian night , gala night wich was the best. A little bit overload, you can hardly find a table, but it was OK.
Very nice and frendly staff. The animation team was OK, nice shows in the evening (Michael Jackson show or swimming show in the pool, every night mini disco for the children). Overall, is a very good hotel. I recommend it .

The best holiday we have ever had, we were 10 persons with an age range from 13 to shall we say well grown up. We only had 1 week at this amazing hotel the 1st week of July. The first thing i will mention is the service, it is second to none all your needs are taken care of. Secondly the food is excellent, so if your planning a diet put it on hold for a while. Service in the restaurant is very good and friendly. I read some other reviews that there was a problem with language, this i found was not true as all the staff spoke reasonable English. The majority of the clients at the resort are German which i found a good sign as in my experience the Germans don't accept sub standard. The second largest contingent are Russian. The beach is great with plenty of free sunbeds and a beach restaurant serving tasty snacks and cold drinks all day. The entertainment staff were very friendly and worked hard all day to make your stay very pleasant. I could mention a lot more but that may spoil the sunrise this resort offers. We will hopefully be back next year for 2 weeks. Aydinbey Palace thank you very much.

Room Tip: Family room on 1st floor

After spending 3 nights over Christmas at the Crystal Sunset in Side we decided to spend two nights over the New Year here after reading the reviews. Bad idea. The hotel is about 5 or 6 years old, unfortunately the decor and fittings are circa 1970's. The lobby area is huge and the brown, beige and cream theme looks OK here, the lounge bar is slightly depressing as its dark and dingy looking but the small bedroom was the most basic I've ever seen in a 5* hotel, again the dark brown and beige theme with a cream and beige carpet. Bedside lights and lights over the "dressing table" were of the type you would see in a lounge. Carpets are not a good idea in a hot country as they conceal a number of creepy crawlies!! The wardrobe was a small double size and there was a lack of draw space. The bathroom was small and basic with a shower over the bath. The mini bar in the room was an old fridge which never got cold and contained only water and a couple of cartons of fruit juice. No beer, pop or crisps.

Now to the food. It would appear that the chef liked to cook chicken and turkey. This appeared at every meal, offering about 5 choices of disguised chicken and turkey dishes. There was one choice of meat dish and the one fish dish was only grilled fish. Fine if you like chicken or turkey, I don't. The food was nicely presented but not 5* standard. We were hugely disappointed with the New Years Gala dinner, the food was inedible and judging by the uneaten food being removed from the tables a lot of people thought the same.

It did say on the hotel web site that they served local and imported drinks, I saw no evidence of any imported drinks and, in fact, the info sheet given to us only mentioned that local drinks were available. Whether this is difference in summer I don't know. The choice of cocktails available was very limited.

Our room was cleaned properly and the public areas and loos were spotless, the staff were all friendly and this is the only good thing I can say about this hotel.

No car park, so we had to leave the car on the road.

Another hotel which I won't be recommending.

A really very nice and especially clean hotel. The size of the hotel is perfect, not too big but not too small! Wi-fi is available in the lobby and at the pool. The hotel is for children and adults alike. While we were there, there were many families with small children as well as couples in different age groups. There were mostly german guests there, as well as a few russian guests.

Size of the room was totally ok, had a great room with a partial view of the ocean. Safe, mini bar hair dryer tv everything was available. Even on our right large balcony we had wi-fi

The hotel has a large main buffet area and 7 à la carte restaurants. The food is good. Varied and tasty. In the turkish tent the bbq is really recommendable absolute highlight for us.

Super friendly staff and very child friendly. Can't complain. Nearly all of them spoke german and english, were able to provide us with all communicate. The rooms were cleaned daily, towels, and linen every day freshly. Mini bar was daily with Cola Fanta Sprite water with and without carbonation refilled. Coffee, dte and water digester also available in the room.

At the pool and the beach at any time free couches. So really enough beach chairs. No gestreite around reserved beach chairs. Pool is also very nice, two large pools, a children's pool and water slides. The entertainment every day but who wants its peace also not troubled. Water games were at the upper pool made so if you don't want to have the other pool where one had his peace.

From the airport to the hotel takes about 1 hour. The sea is almost on the doorstep only through a short path through the area you must go. A really great beach, fine sand, no stones in the water only sand! Shops are very close by. A few meters in front of the hotel shopping possibilities and taxi, as well as Dolmuş. With the Dolmuş for 1 €to Kumköy center, but also to foot it is in 15-20 minutes walking distance.
