“A Real Turkish Delight”
Reviewed September 6, 2012

We stayed for one week mid august this year. We all had a fabulous time, after making my own judgement from past reviews,.and after visiting the premises briefly last year , this has to be THE most relaxing week ever,. Thanks go to everyone!!!

One of the most important things that I often read is FOOD and BEDS , well the food is not only plentiful, its imaginative, and with the latter in mind , find your table put some drinks on there, place your serviette over the back of your chair and have a wander, take a good look.....use your imagination.

The beds we had a junior suite, the beds were ok , but you must make use of the Pillow menu..

Finally special thanks go to Sadik (sadeek) er,nesem The Manager of all the restaurants and bars what a Star!!
PS TO ALL OF YOU

On your first day try and book yourselves a turkish bath for about hour and quarter about £30.00 This will definately help your tan and relax you.

Room Tip: make sure you keep your balcony doors closed at night so the air con can function properly

Returned yesterday from a fabulous holiday at fantasia, there was 7 of us and all had the best time, the hotel caters for all ages.
The waiters in the Palm restuarant cannot do enough for you, especially Hüseyin Tamusta he worked so hard and was always smiling and happy. the food in the restuarant was varied and good, there wasnt one day we couldnt find something we liked, (including my son who is extremely fussy). The chefs were amazing with the variety they cooked.
We visted the chinese restuarant which was good but not a lot of choice.
The rooms were huge and clean, there was 3 of us in our room and still enough room for us all, I was a bit dissappointed when we arrived as we had asked for a balcony and sea view but ended up in the basement, this turned out to be wonderful, we had patio doors out into the garden area, so my view was mountains and a beautiful fountain, it was wonderful to sit out first thing in the morning with a cup of coffee in 30 degrees in what I considered my garden.
Every Tuesday there was a picnic in "my garden" which was wonderful, tables laden with BBQ food, bread, salad and fruit.
The hotel is massive but still feels friendly, the pool was always clean with enough sunbeds either around the pool or down on the beach, the bins were constantly being emptied or checked, cold flannels were supplied during the afternoon which were a god send in such heat. on arrival we were given towel cards so each morning we could get clean towels for use around the pool and if they got too wet you could change them during the day.
The Dolphin bar staff were great especially Mustafa Karateke he was always happy and pleased to see us, he was so quick to fill you glass as soon as you had finished. The lunch menu at the Dolphin bar was great, salad and BBQ food or a variety of food on the menu.
The beach bar was great with soft drinks and beer on tap and jacket potatoes and burgers for lunch. (It seemed as if I did nothing but eat).
There are a few stray cats around the hotel which they ask you not to feed, I broke this rule, unless you encouraged them they werent a nuisance.
The only dissappointment was the mini bar and tea/coffee facilities in our room, we had to ask for them to be topped up, not so much the mini bar as there was only coke, soda water, bottled water and 2 bottles of beer, but the tea bags, coffee and coffee creamer werent topped up and with 3 of us it didnt last long.
In the bathrooms were little bottles of shampoo, conditioner, shower gel and body lotion so wished I hadnt taken my own because as soon as we used them they were replaced.
The hotel photographer was a bit of a pain constantly taking photos and asking if you wanted to do a photo shoot, which after looking at some of his work I decided made you look like a trollop, not natural photos at all, we were going to have a family photo done but decided against it.
Every Wednesday there is a little market in Camyura which is easy to get to by bus (which is an experience in itself) this was fun, haggling with the stall holders.
We all had a Turkish bath when we arrived which was not as cheap as the Thomas Cook excursion but it is private, my sister, my Mum and myself went together, then my Dad, husband, son and nephew went together. We had a Turkish bath and massage, really good. In the spa itself you can use the sauna and indoor pool for free but other products have to be paid for, like scrubs and fish spa.
The animation team were great, Victoria especially, she was great at aqua aerobics, she made it fun, even though at the beginning of the holiday it was torture. The team are always walking round talking to guests and asking if anyone wants to join in the sports, like water polo, football, darts, volley pool, boules and water games, they never pushed you into it if you just wanted a lazy day.
The evening entertainment was really good with a variety to suit all.
The games centre was briliant, Cesur who runs it is a very lovely man, my son (15) and nephew (19) spent most evenings playing bowling and air hockey and became mates with him, he was always friendly and pleased to see us.
We have all said we would return to this hotel as it was fabulous, the only thing I didnt like was the guests from Germany and Russia they decided they are far more important then anyone else and it was there right to push in or order the staff around aggressively like they were animals, this is no fault of the hotel as they cant decide who stays there but it was most annoying.
We feel quite sad to be home, the heat was getting to be a bit of a habit and we will miss all the friendly, lovely people at Fantasia.

Room Tip: Room 2019 is the best, we had a mountain view and felt like it was my own garden

Just returned 1st sept 2012 from a two week stay at this hotel. Well what can I say except ignore the negative remarks made by some as this is a lovely clean hotel with friendly staff. On a Tuesday they have a picnic on the front lawn with hot and cold food, fresh fruit and they even have a bar. They play games with the kids and even get the adults involved in skipping and a game of tug of war. The day and evening entertainment was good. The market in Kemer is worth a bus trip, 1 euro 50 one way takes about 25 mins on air conditioned bus that stops right outside the hotel, in fact it will stop anywhere if you put your hand out. I could really find only two faults with this hotel and that is the air conditioning is poor in the public areas and the food is only warm, never hot.

just returned from 7 enjoyable nights FDL, overall good hotel, booked junior suite, but when arrived and shown room found there was no balcony, think it might have been the only suite like that, reverted to standard room which was large clean and comfortable, and did have a balcony! found no problem with Aircon, either in room or rest of hotel, that some guests had mentioned, also found staff both friendly and helpful, special mention to Viktoriya in the animation team, who alway smiled and found time to talk to everyone, however they all worked very hard and tried to make sure everyone enjoyed there holiday. Camyuva is a small resort, and there really isn't much outside the hotel, a trip up the montain(olympus) though is a must.overall really could not find anything to moan about, so highly recommended.

Room Tip: make sure you ask for a room with a balcony

Having just returned from a week during peak summer season, many of the negatives in the reviews to me seem completely unfounded. Yes, other guests can be rude and push in, but the staff do try to give the best service they can, we never had to wait more than 5 minutes for a drink even at busy times and though English may not have been good with all staff, those who could were always friendly, smiley and chatty! Never felt like the other guests had priority, everyone was treated the same. Food was good, yes some a bit samey, but there was enough choice that you never had to eat the same thing twice.

Our hotel room was huge for a standard with a great sea and mountain view, despite what someone mentioned about UK tourist companies not giving these kind of rooms. The room was clean and the air conditioning was great, even too cold at times! In the rest of the hotel the air conditioning wasn't as great as the room, but this was during 40 degree heat - I'm not usually one for hot weather at all yet it was never too much for me.

Hotel entertainment is great, the main host in the evenings was hilarious and the staff worked so hard and really tried to get everyone involved without being pushy. The Monkey Club was an underused area of the hotel, DJ better than many in UK clubs and the effort they put in here made it just like any other club, just needed more people to use the facility! When a party was held here by the entertainment team it filled up and reached it's potential, again so much effort put in with entertainment and decoration, the hotel really does try to provide you with the best possible holiday experience in this sense!

Only complaint was the location, not a lot to do outside of the hotel within walking distance, only a few shops selling tourist souvenirs, or a bus ride to Kemer which was just a bigger version of this. We went on excursions which were excellent, but there was no where around but the hotel to go at night and the surrounding area had very little culture. However, for some who like to stay just in the hotel this may not be a problem!

I have just returned from a 10 night stay at the Fantasia Hotel. My first impressions on arrival were the staff were attentive giving us cold flannels for us to cool down as we arrived at 3pm in the afternoon and it was extremely hot. We had booked 2 x standard rooms and we were asked if we would change to a 2 bedroom suite overlooking the pool and sea. I inspected the room before I agreed to change and this was definitely a good choice for us. Overall this was a good holiday but I can say I have probably stayed in better hotels in Turkey which were not classed as 5 *.

Good:-
Most of the hotel staff were pleasant and did speak fairly good english
Entertainment staff were always polite and made a fuss of my 5 year old daughter
Evening entertainment most nights were good as they had outside entertainment brought in and didn't use the children's entertainers like some hotels do
Waterslides was a bonus

Not so good:-
Very rude people staying at the hotel who would never queue and push in and pretend they did not understand english when they clearly did (mainly russians/ukraine and germans)
Food was pretty much the same each day, they could do with doing different types of food outside the main restaurant and not offering the same as inside - maybe more bbqs, etc
Cleanliness around the pool they need to ensure this is cleaned at least each evening as sometimes the mess people had made the day before was still there the next day (for example someone dropped a lot of chocolate ice-cream and walked off and didn't clear it up and it was stilll there the same day)
Some of the guests need to remember this is a "family" hotel and not couples only therefore act the way they should in front of children and not provide lapdances for their partners in the hotel bar in front of children - very unacceptable!
When people push in the queues the hotel staff should not serve them and make them queue or at least wait their turn this would stop them from doing it

All in all we did have a good holiday but it is a 4* and not a 5* that has been quoted in the Thomas Cook brochure

It was our first time in Turkey. In general we spent really great time in Fantasia.
But there are a lot of "-" which we want to tell you about to warn you before you book your trip!
1)Staff of hotel barely speaks English!+not friendly and never ready to help!No smile no solution of any problem!
2)Our room was full of dust on arrival and balcony door was broken. Instead of cleaning our room housekeeper just changed towels and vanity kit.
3)BEWARE!Never order any cocktail in any bar!Really bad quality and bad service. It was usual that barmen is looking at you and then going back like he/she didn't see you)))Funny but not!
4)When we booked our trip it was written FREE WI-FI.But once general manager decided to make it metered. But as we think if you book hotel and they promise smth it should be done.At least they could give us free password till our last day staying. When we came to the reception they told that this problem they are not able to solve and that general manager is in some other hotel and we can't talk to him in case of any complaint.
"+" Animation team is great!
But in general we enjoyed our time cause we were together and weather was nice)
