“Good value for money”
Reviewed July 4, 2008

Had a week at the Linda Beach Hotel in June. The room was brightly and pleasantly decorated with a fantastic sea view, however the room was quite small with very little storage space for your belongings. It was perfect for us though as we were out every day and we only slept and showered there. We had a few minor problems at first with the shower and hairdryer but these were quickly resolved by the lovely staff. The lady on Reception didn't speak very much English but we got by with a few notes written in English which she passed onto Ersu (who I think may be the owner) and he sorted them out straight away.

The towels were very small and were not very soft but they were changed every day so were always clean. The maid service kept the room very clean and tidy and often left petals and arranged the towels in little designs. Our room was on the third floor and there is no lift so if you're not very mobile you would need to request a lower floor. The walk from town back to the hotel is also quite steep.

Breakfast was typically Turkish with jams, honey, bread, eggs, tomatoes, etc and could be eaten outside overlooking the swimming pool area. I can highly recommend the beach club opposite where you grab a free lounger and umbrella and just pay for any drink and food etc. For days out sightseeing in the local area I can recommend Xanthos, Letoon, Sakklikent Gorge, Patara and a little further out Arykanda ruins are well worth a visit. The boat trips from the harbour are also good value for money but check the weather reports first as we had a really bad experience as the winds/sea can be quite rough in this area.

Overall, I would recommend the Linda Beach Hotel. We paid roughly £25 per room per night bed & breakfast and as long as you don't want anything luxurious, you won't be disappointed.

This was a last minute budget holiday with friends in July 2006. The website we booked with had made a mess of the booking, and the hotel only had a down for one room, instead of two. The family who run this hotel were so helpful and accommodating and cleared out one of their own rooms for me to stay in. I found the hotel basic but very clean. The pool area was also nice and clean. Good value for money hotel.

We stayed at the Linda Beach Hotel, not to be confused with the Linda Hotel, for 6 nights in August as part of a dive package. The hotel was a short walk from town, the dive center, and the harbor where our dive boat was parked.

LInda Hotel has a small, crystal clear pool that is about 5 feet deep, except for a small entrance, so it’s not good for children that don’t swim. The hotel was very well kept, inside and out.

The room we had was smallish but painted a cheerful buttery yellow and had clean white tile floors. We had a queen bed, small wardrobe with shelves, very small desk, and two night stands. It came equipped with an air conditioner (that only stayed on when we were in the room) and an LCD TV mounted on the wall. The small bathroom had a shower with plenty of hot water and was tastefully tiled. Occasionally we had to go on the hunt for amenities such as soap and toilet paper. Shampoo was never provided.

The TV was mostly Turkish with a few prime-time shows in English. We had a small balcony and could just see a little of the view; it overlooked a pedestrian street so it was quiet. Only a few of the rooms in the hotel have a good view of the Med. The hotel doesn’t have a lift and the marble stairs reflect noise throughout the hotel. You could hear loud guests coming and going.

The breakfast buffet was neatly presented and was the usual Turkish presnetation of bread, cheese, tomatoes, cucumbers, boiled eggs, cereal, and raisins. Juice was extra.

The hotel is located across the street from several restaurants looking over the Med. There are also several terraces where you can use a lounge and umbrella for the day. I don’t think you have to pay, but you aren’t allowed to bring in your own food and drinks, so you will have to use the reasonably priced restaurant services. There is also a pebble beach below where the water is very clear and refreshing due to some freshwater springs.

The staff at the hotel was wonderful. When we needed a power strip, they let us borrow one of theirs. When we wanted some ice for our evening night cap, they ran to the kitchen and got it for us. There were always several members of the family around and they were friendly and attentive.

  • Liked — Clean and well maintained. Location.
  • Disliked — Noisy stairwell; most guests were considerate and quiet, but not all.
