My husband and I enjoyed two nights at Villa Tamara and it was incredible. We started in the Honeymoon Suite and then changed rooms to the Deluxe Suite. Both were incredible but I'd have to say that the Deluxe Suite was unforgettable with so much space, privacy and amazing view. We will book our next trip to Villa Tamara as soon as possible.

Has fantastic views accross the sea to the Greek island of Meiz. The hotel is made of stone and has a grand presence. My room was huge with a really good feel and a sea view. Lovely pool area. The restaurant also has very good meals at reasonable prices. You'll need a car to get here as it's located well out of town. A top hotel.

Beautiful property, very nice and helpful manager. The hotel seem a little bit understaffed, two boys (teenagers) serving and running errands. We stayed in a suite which was way too big with a lot of wasted space, the bathroom has a big hot tub but no shower.

Room Tip: Save your money don't get the suite

We booked via hotels.com and they did not find our reservation upon arrival. They had place and accepted us, but it is an issue of course if you drive at the end of a long day to the very end of a peninsula not to have a room. No discussion about the rate though...
For the rest: great location (of course, it is a small boutique hotel at a calm location away from the center, so not sure if i'd stay there 7 days) - great (huge) rooms - pleasant atmosphers - wonderful views - nice pool and sea side chairs - but as others have pointed out: a lot of stairs...
Friendly staff, but not all understand english well.

We ended our vacation in Turkey with 4 nights in Villa Tamara and we couldn't have stayed in a better place. Located on the Peninsula, the view from our room, from the open air restaurant and the private sun deck are breath taking. We basically didn't feel the desire to leave the beautiful grounds during the day. The hotel has a great pool with comfortable lounge chairs, so does the deck down at the water.

The room was spacious and nice furniture and decorations. The room opened to a little balcony overlooking the Mediterranean, nice firm beds and a basic bathroom but a big shower.
The food was excellent and the atmosphere in the restaurant casual and cozy.
The staff was very professional and super friendly. Mesut, the manager welcomed us on our first night and immediately made us feel at home. He and the rest of the staff was always available to answer questions whether early in the morning or late at night.

We had to leave the hotel really early on the last day and we were pleasantly surprised that one of the staff members was there to assist us with our luggage and make sure everything was ok.

First class hotel, first class service

This was our first visit to Turkey so we had no idea what to expect. After reading lots of reviews and information from their web site we were really looking forward to our holiday. Although I knew that there would be a lot of steps in the hotel I didn't quite appreciate how many! From the sea deck to our room, which was on the top floor, there are 162. If you have any mobility problems think twice about booking. The web site really should be updated too. We were looking forward to some boat trips on Tamara's own boat. Unfortunately they do not have a boat now and haven't for over two years. Also the shuttle service between the hotel and Kas is a little misleading as it only happens if a member of staff chances to be going into town. However the local buses which you catch from the top of a very steep hill are fantastic and taxi's very cheap. On the plus side the views are absolutely stunning, the rooms are comfortable and the food is good. The manager is charming but really messed up when he got the times wrong on an evening boat trip and we missed our boat and when the wall mounted hair dryer broke in our room it took 7 days and my suggestion that if it could not be repaired they might give me a plug in one! The staff are very friendly and helpful but service can be a bit hit and miss, especially when it is busy. Breakfast is typical Turkish, lots of cheese, olives, salad etc although my husband enjoyed an omlette every morning which you can ask for. The sun beds on the lower sea decks all need a good scrub and they need more parasol's as they haven't got enough if it gets busy. This all sounds very negative but we did enjoy our holiday it just needs a little bit more attention to detail. Information about the hotel, meal times etc and about the local area and services would be helpful too if it were in the room instead of having to ask all the time from the reception staff. The town of Kas which is a 15 minute bus ride away is great with very friendly and inviting shops, restaurants and bars. If travelling in August as we did you need to love hot weather, it is quite insanely hot and stopped us from seeing lots of interesting places in the area as we just couldn't face walking in temperatures up in the 40's (or higher) in the sun.

Room Tip: We had a standard room which was very good with amazing views, just be aware that they do not have T...

Being our final 4 nights on the Turkish Coast we were delighted that we chose Villa Hotel Tamara. Our room, furnished as we believe a Villa should be, overlooked the sea and a chilled wine in the late afternoon amongst the privacy of the grapevines, bouganvillia and olive trees surrounding our balcony....plus the magnificant views, only added to the experience of Villa life. As we had a car, it was an easy access in and out of Kas itself and other sight seeing places. The staff were young, very friendly and helped when they could. Most mornings were spent relaxing on sun lounges, and the deck allowed easy access in and out of the crystal clear waters of the Med at ones' leisure.Having the option of an Ala Carte Restaurant beside the pool in the evenings simply added to our relaxation, the Menu was varied and the seafood excellent and prices equal to restaurants in the main centre of Kas. Our host Erol, was always on hand to ensure things ran smoothly.....by husbands only disappointment was lack of access to the internet....when required. We would highly recommend this Hotel to those of your who enjoy privacy, relaxation, good food/wine and breathtaking views of the Turkish Coast.

Room Tip: You must ask for a front room with a view.
