“Excellent family-run hotel”
Reviewed November 9, 2011

We spent two weeks in this hotel back in October 2000 (in the check list I had to put December 2010 as that was the furthest back it went)! I didn't know about Trip Advisor in those days, but, having seen some reviews, though I would add my mite in favour of this hotel.

It was an unassuming, ungrand hotel, right at the end of a dusty road and also at the end of Kas. We had a room on the side facing out into open country, but, sitting on our balcony of an evening (over the G&T!), we also had a wonderful view to the front and Meis (spelling? - the Greek island). We preferred it to the front rooms (in spite of their views) because we had some respite from the sun.

It was all very clean and comfortable and we were made to feel very welcome. The food at dinner was excellent - very Turkish and extremely reasonable. Trips were organised - not mass touristy ones, but small and select with Turkish guests as well. In fact, the majority of the guests at the hotel were Turkish, which we took to be a good sign. We were taken on a wonderful boat trip with Ali to Kekova - not to be forgotten!

From the website, it looks as though the hotel has been improved - particularly the area around the swimming pool. I can't wait for our next visit to Kas. We did pop in to Kas for a night (on our way along the coast on a gulet cruise for our 60th birthdays) and found that Kas had become smarter, though not too smart. Still this hotel seems extremely reasonable.

Room Tip: Go for front if you want view and sun. Go for east side to face countryside.

We stayed here for two nights as part of a tour with Imaginative Traveller. The hotel is located slightly away from the main town, which is good, as it is peaceful in the evening, but still with lovely views of the bay, whilst you have breakfast. Rooms are OK. I note the previous comment about sheets not fitting the bed - this is a problem common all over Turkey, and not just here. Pool is really nice, and the view makes a swim even better.

My 13 year old daughter and I stayed for 10 days in this cosy place. We loved especially the sight all over the bay and the nice family who run the place. They were always extremely friendly, when I was ill they cared with special tea and offers to help. The guest is seen as an individual, there is room for a chat with the family members who can understand English. My daughter was given special breakfast as she didn't like the cheese.

Having a room on the front side of the house gives you a spectacular view, but you hear also guests and familiy life from the terrace below. We went diving in Kas and would have liked to sleep early which was sometimes not possible.

Rooms were clean and moderate without TV, which we did not need anyway. One of the matrasses was old and uncomfortable, the other was good. The fridge in the room also did a good job in the summer height, but was noisy.

The walk to town takes only 10 minutes, but the way back to the hotel is - especially during the height of the day - a challenge. We said the way is the price for the good view...

We hightly recommend the hotel for people who want to have a view in turkish life (familiy life takes place in around the hotel), a good price for good service, cleanliness, breakfast under lemon trees and individuality.

This hotel has a view to die for - absolutely stunning. Rooms are OK, basic, but the main problem is that their bed sheets are more like very small bedspreads that are way too small for the beds, consequently sleeping is uncomfortable. Restaurant serves breakfast but it's basic and unimaginative.

I have been to Kas many times and this was the best hotel I have stayed in by far, from the second we arrived we were looked after so well by the very friendly family who run the hotel. We had the most fantastic view from our balcony looking towards meize. The room was ideal with air con and a fridge, the room was of a very decent size. The Tukish breakfast was extremely nice, we had such a nice time and we would defiantly go back there again next year i highly recommend this very friendly and clean hotel.

Perfectly clean. Incredible view if you can get a front side room. Decent rooms. Good location. Very nice beach club where you don't have to spend money to spend the day.
