We spent two weeks in this hotel back in October 2000 (in the check list I had to put December 2010 as that was the furthest back it went)! I didn't know about Trip Advisor in those days, but, having seen some reviews, though I would add my mite in favour of this hotel.
It was an unassuming, ungrand hotel, right at the end of a dusty road and also at the end of Kas. We had a room on the side facing out into open country, but, sitting on our balcony of an evening (over the G&T!), we also had a wonderful view to the front and Meis (spelling? - the Greek island). We preferred it to the front rooms (in spite of their views) because we had some respite from the sun.
It was all very clean and comfortable and we were made to feel very welcome. The food at dinner was excellent - very Turkish and extremely reasonable. Trips were organised - not mass touristy ones, but small and select with Turkish guests as well. In fact, the majority of the guests at the hotel were Turkish, which we took to be a good sign. We were taken on a wonderful boat trip with Ali to Kekova - not to be forgotten!
From the website, it looks as though the hotel has been improved - particularly the area around the swimming pool. I can't wait for our next visit to Kas. We did pop in to Kas for a night (on our way along the coast on a gulet cruise for our 60th birthdays) and found that Kas had become smarter, though not too smart. Still this hotel seems extremely reasonable.
