It's enough to spend a few hours to see all over that little cute village. There are many agency organizes daily boat trips to Kalekoy and 12 islands, they are perfect way to go there.

İts definetly worth visiting...you can climb up to the castle or take a walk near The seaside to see ancient thumbs.

The area is quite pretty with the sea expanding out from the little island where you can have lunch and walk up to the castle. The views from the castle are fantastic. We had a picnic lunch along some necropoli once we left the castle under a big olive tree looking out to the sea. We did this as part of a day trip after hiring a boat to take us along the sunken ruins of Kekova.

The one thing we found were that the ladies selling cloths were relentless, not wanting to take no for an answer and following us around. We hadn't experienced this type of harassment in Turkey prior to this, and had only behavior similiar to this in places like SE Asia and China. Fortunately this is the only place in Turkey we had this issue.

Would I recommend this? Perhaps. There's sooo much to see along the mediterranean coast and so much gorgeous ruins and hikes.. I'm not convinced this is worth it if you only have a few days, but if you have a good amount of time, this is certainly a beautiful day trip along with Kekova.

We had the most amazing time in kalekoy, absolutely stunning scenery and warm hospitality. The owners of the pansiyons and restaurants are eager to help without being remotely intrusive and not only is the food fantastic it is excellent value for money. With the castle and sunken city there is plenty to see if sunbathing isn't your thing but if it is there are gorgeous views to take in as you relax.
