My husband and I enjoyed a wonderful weeks holiday here at Peninsula gardens July 2013. Despite the hotel being fairly quiet and relaxing we met some fantastic people and had one of the most sociable and fun holidays we've had in years!

What makes this place is special is the little touches... like the luxury black air conditioned minibuses that transport you everywhere, with the free bottles of evian on tap, the molton brown bathroom products that get topped up daily, the endless supply of fluffy towels at the poolside, the incredible cocktails,(try a banana daiquiri) the tapas at the start of every meal with a tiny grill to toast your bread on, and the restaurant location with the most incredible views into cool blue bay waters I've ever seen!

....However the most amazing thing of all here is the staff. I have never been anywhere with such smiley, friendly & helpful staff! Nothing is too much trouble. Solman is the most friendly of all and goes out of his way to learn your name and chat to you. He really is lovely & provides a good source of entertainment too with his quirky songs & dry sense of humour!

I think this place is perfect for couples or friends who want to relax and enjoy beautiful plush surroundings... It does have a free shuttle into town for those who want to party more but it is not the place for hard core party goers. If this is your thing try Bodrun or Mamaris! (Although saying that we had many a fun few evenings with other couples drinking cocktails until the wee small hours at the bar)

We also met a couple who stayed in a villa which was like something Puff Daddy might stay in! The pool was massive with a large sun terrace and BBQ area - & the villa could fit 8 people + in at least! Perfect for a friends /family holiday so you can split the cost. (Approx £1500 I think)

We would definitely return but next time would get a room with a pool as although our room Ivory was gorgeous with amazing views, a pool would have just topped it off perfectly!

The only slightly annoying thing that happened on our holiday is we booked a gorge trip which was closed due to heavy rain that day...we were taken to a carpet shop which was fascinating at first learning how they made the rugs but then we got heavily sold to and it became a bit awkward!.

Overall though an amazing holiday.

Room Tip: High rooms like Ivory have fantastic views

A truly spectacular hotel on the cliffside leading down to the Mediterranean, with fabulous facilities and such friendly staff, including the cleaning ladies. Our private plunge pool was big enough to swim in, the main pool was lovely and the warm clear turquoise sea is just a few steps down from the poolside bar - what could be better! Our room (Ruby) was beautiful, as are all the rooms as far as I could see, and all have lovely terraces overlooking the sea. Importantly (given the heat - 38 degrees and sunny every day when we were there), the air conditioning is very quick and effective. The poolside restaurant has a spectacular view and the food was really good, both Turkish and international cuisine, with dining enhanced by the friendly and professional head waiter Salman, who knew all the guests' names - a very welcoming touch.

With the lovely old town of Kas nearby (too far to walk but the three times daily complimentary minibus service is excellent) and all flights and connections arranged, this was a wonderful holiday. We had a really relaxing time - just wish I had booked for two weeks rather than one. We will be going back again next year for sure.

Room Tip: All the rooms look good - the Ruby suite is beautiful.

Late booking and we only had 2 days here in Villa 5 (bella vista) but were keen to change the booking and spend our entire stay here. Staff, facilities, location, food all excellent. Not sure how good the individual rooms are but the villa with private pool was a perfect location. Already planning the return trip.

We have just returned from a fabulous holiday, staying in one of the Peninsula Gardens Villas (II) in Kas. We had all the advantages of staying in a villa with lots of space and our own pool, whilst benefitting from all the hotel services and amenities.

We arrived very early on a Saturday morning, which we knew would be before our villa was ready. I had warned Elixir holidays about this and as soon as we arrived we were given the use of one of the suites, which was lovely and there was plenty of space for all five of us to relax and catch up on some sleep. The room was immaculate, very well equipped and had its own pool on the deck. We ate breakfast and lunch in the hotel and the staff moved all our luggage into the villa as soon as it was ready for us. A very impressive start.

Villa number II is right next to the hotel. It has three double bedrooms in the main villa and one completely separate bedroom, which was perfect for our 20 year old son. All the bedrooms had en suite shower rooms. There was also a washing machine in the downstairs loo and a large open plan Kitchen/ Living area, which opens straight out onto the pool. The villa would not be suitable for families with very young children as there is no way of keeping them out of the pool and there are lots of steps outside. It looks straight out over the sea in one direction, the hotel is on the other side and there is the hotel car park on the third side, which was not what we had expected but really didn't bother us. It was really only used by the elixir holidays mini buses and one or two other cars, so not at all busy.

The villa was cleaned every other day and the bins emptied / towels changed on the days in between. The Molton Brown toiletries were replenished regularly. They even provided soap powder, fabric conditioner and dishwasher detergent.

We were able to take advantage of the hotel's complimentary shuttle bus service, which runs into Kas three times a day and meant that we didn't need to hire a car whilst we were there. Included in the cost of our villa was daily delivery of bread and milk (they will also buy other groceries), a delicious barbecue cooked for us in our villa (they did the washing up too!) and day aboard a gulet, which was really lovely. We also had the the services of all the Elixir holidays staff, who were outstanding. Really friendly, helpful and professional. They booked and recommended restaurants, arranged three airport transfers for children coming and going throughout our stay and organised a couple of tours for us, which we very much enjoyed: Xanthos, Tloss and Saklikent Gorge; Sea Kayaking at Kekova and a day on the Greek Island. We were even given the use of a local mobile phone so we could call Murat (who looks after the villas) and the hotel. We also enjoyed the hotel spa, pool and beach platforms.

We ate breakfast and lunch in the hotel from time to time. The food was good, but slightly unexciting (though the view from the restaurant is spectacular) and we went into Kas most evenings as we love Turkish food and the town is gorgeous.

All in all I can't recommend it highly enough. We all agreed it was the best Mediterranean holiday we have been on.

We have just returned from a week at the Peninsula Gardens and we had a fantastic time. Our stay far exceeded our expectations. I was extremely impressed by the hospitality and welcome we received at the hotel and throughout our stay in Turkey. It is an extremely friendly place. I must highlight the work of Salman who is one of the waiters working at the hotel. His friendliness, good humour and professionalism helped to make our holiday one we will always remember. He learnt our names on the very first evening which might seem like quite a simple touch but it really helps to personalise your stay.
The hotel was excellent. We stayed in Onyx which was at the top of the hotel (where you can take full advantage of the stunning views) which didn't have a plunge pool but as mentioned in other reviews this meant that much of the rest of the hotel was available for us to sunbathe in as other people were using their own. The gorgeous outdoor pool was often unused which I took full advantage of. The hotel's decking area leading straight into the sea is also a wonderful place to while away several relaxing hours.
We also found the other hotel guests extremely friendly and there was a lovely spirit around the hotel as you speak to other people who have recommendations about which restaurants to eat in and which places to visit around the area.
All in all, it was a wonderful, relaxing holiday and a place I would recommend.

My husband and I booked a week at pg to celebrate our 20th anniversary. We had a wonderful week. Friends of ours had been to pg and raved about it so when it came up on secret escapes we booked!
Our room was lovely and I really liked the moult on brown shower gel etc a lovely touch. We did not eat dinner here as we preferred going into kas at night.
Breakfasts were very nice and location of restaurant just beautiful.

The one thing I would say is the trips organised by hotel are very expensive and we were happy to go into kas and negotiate our own trips at a much cheaper price.

All in all we had a fantastic week and would love to go back again sometime.

A holiday in Turkey had never really appealed to me before. I always thought of it as the typical tourist getaway but when we saw peninsula gardens on the secret escape website it looked perfect and we booked it straight away at a really good price. And it certainly did not disappoint...

The hotel only has 18 rooms so it was quiet and relaxing, in an idyllic location. The hotel is cleverly built into the hillside and all rooms look out over the sea and the mountains. We stayed in Lapis which is right at the top and although our room was one without a private plunge pool we were in no way disappointed....if anything this just meant we always had the main pool or the cabanas to ourselves!

The restaurant looks out over the sea so you can watch the sunset as you have dinner. The food is great and I have nothing but good things to say about the staff. Salman knew our names from the very first day and always went that extra mile to make our stay even better. For us, he was outstanding.

This has to be one of the best holidays I have been on, it was the perfect place to relax in a simply stunning location.

My only criticisms would be the distance from the airport. It took us almost 3 hours in the luxury transfer minibus, and although this was worth it when we got to the hotel, it was a lot of travelling.
And secondly, the price of food and drinks in the hotel. Whilst the food was lovely, it became very expensive to eat here everynight. We ventured out into Kas a lot where there is some great little restaurants to eat at really reasonable prices. In particular, we liked natur-el, just off the main square. The hideaway cocktail bar does some amazing cocktails too in this 'secret' garden tucked away from the street.

This is my first trip adviser review but I felt compelled to write something because this hotel was simply amazing! Would highly recommend.
