We stayed at Hotel Cachet in the middle of June. We arrived to the hotel very late but were greeted by the hotel owner Mr Shar and Murat who gave us a very warm welcome. They even offered to reopen the bar but we declined as we were exhausted.
We were blown away with the room when we arrived. The room was large with a four poster bed and even had a single bed in the corner. The bathroom was a good size too with a walk in shower and two types of shower heads which was lovely. Everything seemed perfect, so we checked out the balcony to find stunning views which is when we realised we were in heaven.
We thought the views were amazing at night but when you wake up to them in the morning its completely breathtaking. I'm not sure we've ever experienced views like that. All you see is crystal clear water ahead of you and the Greek Island of Meis, we couldn't get enough photos. The best thing is that you experience this from your room, the restaurant and the pool.
Breakfast was wonderful, a good selection of fresh fruit, cereals, bread, cheese and they make you eggs however you fancy them, we loved the omelette. They also had a great selection of teas and coffee's so we really looked forward to breakfast every morning. The staff were very accommodating too, they waited on us like royalty. We had a couple of mornings where we were leaving early and they let us make up sandwiches which was very nice of them.
The pool area was very relaxing, lots of beds to lounge on in the sun. The pool was a great size and very clean. They have a lovely little bar next to the pool with a great chose of cocktails, beers, spirits and wine. The staff were so friendly that we often sat at the bar, chatted and made up our own cocktails, each day felt like a really personalised experience.
The food menu was very tempting, so we had lunch a couple of times. We can definitely recommend the chicken or haloumi salad, so delicious and quite possibly the best salad we have ever had. There was also a lovely little beach to walk down too, we snorkeled there a few times and were surprised at the amount of fish we saw.
The hotel is located about 15 minutes from the town center by bus which came every half an hour. The buses were air conditioned and stopped for you wherever you were. There was a little bit of a hill to walk up from the hotel to the bus stop but it was a good bit of daily exercise. The buses started around 8am and the last bus from town was around 12am.
We found that there was so much to see and do in Kas and they gave us same great tips of where to go. The diving was great, there is a lovely trip to Meis which we would recommend and we also did the kayaking at the sunken city which was fantastic. There are loads of other trips to do but ours was mainly taken up by diving.
Overall we had a fantastic holiday and would recommend this hotel and location to anyone vising Kas. We would like to thank the staff and owner for a fabulous stay and would love to come again soon. Truly wonderful :)
