“Just perfect!”
Reviewed November 14, 2012

I stayed at this hotel for a week with my partner in September 2012. We really enjoyed everything about this hotel, from the service to the views/ambience of the whole place. The owner and his team obviously take great care to make sure everyone enjoys their stay, and he came up to us after dinner service one evening and told us the fantastic story of how he stumbled across this place and made it the amazing hotel it is today.

The other guests were all very pleasant, some of whom had booked for almost a month! Make sure you jump on the dolmus (every half hour) and get down to the market in Kas and grab yourself some bits and bobs and some "designer" clothes! The hotel also provides / organises trips and activities to do if you want to do some, we went on a jeep safari tour around various historic sites and the trip ended with a light trek through a gorge with was so refreshing! We both went diving for our first time as well which was fun and well organised.

You absolutely must dine at the Manzara Restaurant (I'm going to review that separately). Eating breakfast (included), soaking in the fresh morning sea air with 360 degree views is just unbeatable, and having dinner most nights before heading into town was ideal and scrumptious. Well done Ikhlaque and team!

Room Tip: Try and get a suite as the views are incredible!

This hotel is so good that we have booked again for next year as soon as we returned home. Nothing is too much and the staff were wonderful. I would definitely recommend this hotel if you are visiting Kas.

We stayed at the hotel for 5 nights. The hotel is out on a peninsula so it is not possible to walk into Kas, which we were worried might be a problem. However we appreciated the peafulness of the area and there was a regular and reliable dolmus service (every 30 mins) so it was not a problem for us. Our room was on the side of the hotel, so not really a full seaview, but we were happy with it as it was spacious and clean. The public areas of the hotel were spread about so even if the hotel was full I'm sure that you would find some privacy. The views were wonderful from the pool and restaurant. Breakfast was a generous selection of fruits, vegetables, cheeses, breads and tea and coffee. An egg dish cooked to your liking was available, which was delicious. We ate in the restaurant on the first evening and we enjoyed the meal. It was tasty, generous and well presented, although a little pricey. The service throughout, from start to finish was excellent, always friendly and helpful. The only small negative we could see was that the slope up from the hotel to the road was extremely steep which might be a problem for some. We were okay with it and one of the staff kindly drove us up to the road with our bags when we were leaving which was helpful. Overall we thoroughly enjoyed our stay at the Cachet and would recommend it for the great service, peaceful location and fantastic views.

We spent 4 nights at the Cachet while we explored the Kas area. We liked the hotel a lot. First, the Cachet is out on "the peninsula" so it is some distance from Kas. We had a car so it was not an issue for us. Other guests used the regular Dolmus service to go to town with no complaints that we heard. Balancing that is the peace and the excellent view of the Mediterranean and the islands. I'd take the view. The pool and access to the ocean are excellent.
The Cachet is modern in design, nicely furnished and very comfortable. The service is very good, very helpful. The Manzara restaurant food is good and good value; the chef is very accommodating.
We were disturbed by late evening noise from inconsiderate guests and from the restaurant/terrace furniture being dragged around for an extended time. Otherwise it is very peaceful.

The Cachet is a great place to stay. Kas is a great town to visit.

Room Tip: The second floor above the restaurant may be quieter than immediately above it.

We have stayed here in Spring or Autumn for a few years- always relax completely and have the best of attention from all staff in a beautiful setting- you could never be bored here.Nice quiet little nooks away from the swimming pool and all with wonderful views of island of Meis, the sea and all the passing seacraft. Easy access to Kas and we enjoy getting into the Taurus Mountains for a change of scene- all in an easy days drive.

Room Tip: Rooms on top floor overlooking sea are quiet and sunny.

We stayed for a week at the end of September in a Superior room, with a balcony and a
fantastic view out to the island of Meis.
The room was of a good size, spotlessly clean, with a super wetroom.
Food at the Manzara restaurant was excellent, and the staff at the Hotel did everything
possible to make our stay enjoyable (including a lift from Fikri up the hill to the road!)
Special thanks to Ikhlaque Shah.

We were greatly impressed by the kindness of the staff and the elegance of the hotel which is located the tip of Cukurbag peninsula of Kas. Our room, a junior suite, was spacious and clean with a balcony view of the ocean, the Greek island of Meis opposite and the pool. Breakfast was a wide spread of fruits, vegetables, cheeses, breads and tea and coffee. A selection of egg dishes was available on request. As for Ikhlaque Shah the owner and his staff, we cannot say enough. Their help and service was exemplary, they were always available and obliging, and all had a fantastic sense of humour. The meals in the Manzara restaurant were delicious and elegantly served with enough variety for our one week stay. The Hotel Cachet is about 5 kilometres from Kas centre and we had a car to take advantage of the various attractions in the area, from the beaches at Patara and Kapitas (our favourite) to the ruins at Xanthos.
This was our first visit to Turkey and will certainly not be our last, especially to the Hotel Cachet where we experienced the overwhelmingly hospitable nature of the Turkish people.

Room Tip: Go for the Junior suite, it's worth the extra.
