Just back from a lovely ten days in Kalkan, made even better by having The Ivy House as 'home'. You are right in the heart of Old Kalkan with all the shops and restaurants close by, and the harbour just around a 5 minute stroll. You are also on 'the other side of town' to the sadly infamous Chocolate Bar so you wont be disturbed by their all-night music sessions. The house is beautifully appointed although we didn't actually use many of the numerous facilities - there are so many lovely places to explore and try that I only cooked once or twice. There is a nice balcony at the entrance to the house as well as a great roof terrace with 4 sunbeds and a lovely table under the grape vine.
Tim the owner was incredibly helpful with any questions we had prior to arrival and I can see why he is so proud of this jewel of a home.
We had a wonderful week staying at the Ivy House. This was our second holiday in Kalkan and we wanted to be in the Old Town. the location was perfect, less than 5 minutes to the Harbour and all the shops and restaurants. The house is beautifully furnished and it was great to hove our breakfast and our evening gin an tonic on the roof terrace. I would recommend the Ivy House to anybody looking for independent accommodation in Kalkan.
