Great place and offers all you need: clean and quiet room, helpful staff, panaromic view from the hotel roof.

upsides:

tuğba (the girl on the reception) and all other staff is very helpful.
clean rooms - comfy beds
only 5 min walk to the center of Kalkan
quiet swimming pool arena
good price

downsides:

swimming pool was a little dirty
breakfast was too ordaninary.

anyway, if you want to stay in a queit clean hotel, this will be your place

My wife and i just stayed at the Sevgi. We found it to be a great no-frills hotel at a reasonable rate. We stayed there site unseen and were pleased. It was clean and included breakfast and the management was helpful. The only thing that didn't go well was no hot water the morning we checked out. That might be enough to look for alternate hotels...but maybe not. All in all it was well worth it and we would consider staying there again. Kalkan was a great stay.

Didn't stay at the hotel but did visit it a couple of times. It has one of the best pools in Kalkan and it was empty on the days we went. (that might change after this). Many thanks to Mustafa for being so welcoming and hospitable.
Lovely clean pool and Mustafa acted as our personal "butler" for the day, nothing was too much trouble he laid on a simple but excellent spread for dinner. I should add there was 18 of of us.
I did look at the rooms and they look very clean, and with air con too, a must in Turkey in the summer.
In summary, a very affordable clean hotel with welcoming staff and a great pool. Thanks Guys!

Hotel situated within easy walking distance of Kalkan - rooms very basic but adequate - nice pool area and breakfast terrace enjoys beautiful views over Kalkan bay - quite breathtaking. Staff friendly. If you are looking for budget accommodation in an excellent resort, it would fit the bill

Stayed for five nights, good reception from Tuba who helped out with local information and arranged a boat trip for a number of us. Mustaffa is the greatest asset, I doubt you will find anyone who is so helpful, considerate and friendly. Chess in the afternoon, a plate of fruit, early morning breakfast, late night beer on the terrace. Nothing was a problem. The room was clean and looked after, pool large and generaly quiet and the hotel itself literally minutes from all the restaurants. Air conditioning was all in and all the staff were great.

We found the sign on the road to the Sevgi and didn't realise that it meant up some steep steps and small rough track.
We arrived at Sevgi at about 10pm at night, my Turkish partner did the checking in & from what I could tell the man nehind reception said that there was no booking in our name. However, after a few minutes he got someone to show us to our room.
Our room was spacious and clean with a very good bathroom and nice little balcony with good views. The room had air conditioning that we didn't have to pay for, basic furnishings and a double bed.
Having unpacked and had a shower, I decided to walk into town. One of the lads from the hotel walked with me part of the way to show me the short.
The following morning we skipped breakfast due to staying out until 4am, but went up to the breakfast area to take some photographs.
I went to reception with my passport & partners ID card, and also to pay. The receptionist couldn't take the details as the computer would not connect, however she did look at our confirmation & then took payment.
The pool area was nice and relaxed. We also found that we could park our car outside of the hotel with no problem.
We didn't spend much time in the hotel as we had friends who work in Kalkan town.
When it came for us to leave, my partner went to fetch the car whilst I waited with the bags. The receptionist came and asked me to pay, I explained that I had already paid! After a couple of minutes of trying to explain I gave up & let my partner explain once he arrived back, she remembered and everything was fine.

Kalkan is a great town to visit and Hotel Sevgi was a really nice place to stay.

We booked a family room for our family of 3 (myself, my husband and our 3-year old). The room had a double bed and 2 singles and was a great size for our purposes. It was also at the front of the hotel so had wonderful views across the Old Town and down to the harbour. It was cleaned daily to a great standard.

Breakfast was included in the price of the room (fruit, bread, salad, olives and cheese omlettes) all served on the rooftop terrace between 8:30am-10:30am so we didn't even have to be up particularly early to enjoy it. The hotel had a room service menu but we never took advantage of this as Kalkan has too many good restaurants to enjoy so couldn't comment on any other food in the hotel itself.

There is a good-sized pool which we had to ourselves much of the time. There are beautiful beaches a bus ride away from Kalkan but the beach in Kalkan itself is small and pebbly so it was good to stay somewhere with a pool so our daughter could take a dip straight after breakfast.

The staff are all friendly but a special mention must go to Mustafa who really made our stay at Sevgi with his ever-helpful and friendly approach. He always went the extra mile - cooking up great omlettes for breakfast, bringing us complementary fruit when in the pool, advising us on local restuarants and beaches, showing us round the Thursday market, letting us use his laptop to access the internet, entertaining our daughter at breakfast and in the pool - a great bloke.

The location is ideal - 3 minutes walk from the Old Town where a lot of the best restaurants and bars are. It's hilly which may be a consideration for those with very young children but our 3-year old managed fine and it wasn't so far out that she couldn't be carried if half asleep.

Would definitely return to Kalkan and to Hotel Sevgi.
