We are really undecided about this hotel. We stayed for two weeks in September and would echo what other reviewers have reported in that the staff are very friendly and if you are happy to walk the two short sharp inclines from the top of the old town the location is pretty good. Would also agree that the rooms were cleaned thoroughly and regularly, the bathroom is good and the air conditioning worked perfectly.
However, we were aware that the hotel was described as basic before we booked and are not used to five star luxury but we found the Sevgi 'very' 'very' basic. Our double room had a bed, 2 bedside cabinets, a mirror with small shelf below it and a wardrobe (with 5 coat hangers in it). There was no drawer space except for the small ones in the bedside cabinets, no table or stool, no bedside light, and the door did not fit properly.
The staff did everything they could to ensure that we enjoyed our stay and we couldn't have asked for more from them. Admittedly, the lack of facilities could be viewed as a minor issue but it left us with the impression that the hotel was more suitable for a short stay than for a full two weeks.
