This is send time we have been to the Kalamar and will definitely be returning. The views are outstanding, the staff really friendly and helpful and Serkan the Guest Relations Manager who speaks perfect English cannot do enough for you. We had a really spacious room with own private garden, the rooms are spotless and cleaned everyday, fresh towels and fridge in room. One drawback no coffee/tea making facility in room which would have been an added bonus. This hotel is such good value for money but not advisable for people with mobility problems as numerous steps to keep you fit! The beach club you can reach down more steps where the guys there are great fun and keep you supplied with drinks when required. There is a restaurant, diving centre and water sports. There is also a free shuttle bus back up to the hotel after a relaxing day in the sun. The Kalamar is one of the best hotels I have been in and I cannot recommend it enough to anyone wanting a relaxing, enjoyable holiday with breathtaking views. Kalkan itself is absolutely amazing too, really pretty, lovely shops, abundance of rooftop restaurants where you can enjoy lovely meals and watch the sun go down. What more could you ask for. We will be returning very soon.

Room Tip: We stayed in a corner suite which had its own private garden but all rooms are immaculate and all ha...

This hotel is sited on the best promontory in Kalkan with fantastic sea views. We were in the end room with a small private garden. The rooms have recently been refurbished and are comfortable. Serkan Sapmazturk, the Customer Relations Manager, was very helpful and recommended the lovely inland village of Islamlar which proved a jewel. The room was also great value.

Room Tip: The rooms are in groups of 3-4 terraced up the hill. Get and end of terrace one.

This Hotel makes is ideal for a relaxing break.....staff are friendly and as helpful as can be. The rooms all look out to the beautiful bay and are spotless...cleaned everyday and one day even had our towels all shaped into boats and hearts....made us smile.....lovely!

As we were on a wind down we stayed at the Hotel and used the beach club where again everything there for you...views...turquoise sea... service to your sun lounger by ever friendly staff and still peaceful...water sports there but not noisy.....perfect..even has a hourly shuttle bus up the hill to the Hotel if required...but that would mean missing the odd tortoise having an amble as you ascend to the Hotel...sadly they were moving faster than us...tut !

We enjoyed our evenings in the rooftop restaurants in Kalkan...again Hotel came up trumps and a shuttle bus took us in at seven leaving us to enjoy the bustling of the lovely shops..bars more restaurants than I have ever seen...all with different charms..visited many...not one bad...fantastic!

Cannot recommend this area and Hotel more highly ...my only thought was that the fridges in the rooms could have a welcome bottle of water inside on arrival ....will certainly be back.

Room Tip: the rooms can be small but ours with the sun terrace looking over the sea was perfect. All have sea...

What a wonderful place, the view is fantastic you could not wish for better.
The rooms were clean and comfortable we had the Duplex room so this gave us a private balcony and a terrace. There is a small fridge in the rooms very useful when we had 35 deg days in May!
The Guest Relations Manage r(Serkan SAPMAZTURK) of the hotel is one of the best I have ever come across nothing is to much for him and he ensures that everyone is happy, comfortable and speaks very good English.
The staff are really good and help has much as they can be, however they can't speak English, "we are in Turkey"!! really good fun trying to explain what we wanted.
Down side of the hotel for anyone with a walking problem there are lots of hills but the hotel has a car that they run their guests around to the town or down to the beach club where you will find sun beds free for the Kalamar guests.
I will be going back but I will be hiring a car.

Just spent a week at the Kalamar Hotel in a suite room which is a lot more spacious than the standard. The hotel is a short walk from town but well worth it for the fabulous views. Any information you want Serkan (Guest Relations Manager) will get it for you, extremely friendly & helpful as are all the staff. Breakfast thoroughly enjoyable & plenty of it. The Beach Club is great too. We would definitely stay there again & Kalkan is beautiful with lots of lovely roof terrace restaurants- we favoured the Nar Terrace Restaurant & Bar - food was brilliant as were staff, particularly Rami (waiter) & Hakan. Such a friendly, enjoyable and relaxing hotel. I recommend paying extra to upgrade, just for that extra bit of comfort, but in all you can't fault this hotel and the staff.
The Beach Club is fantastic and a real draw for the hotel. It more than makes up for the fact you need to pay for a cab to get home from town at the end of the night. (a shuttle bus will take you in and bring you back if you want...but you may stay out a bit late for the return journey).
Fantastic views too.

Room Tip: Definitely upgrade from their basic room. Whilst not bad and very clean, the extra comfort is worth...

Have stayed at the Kalamar 3 times now. Perfect location. A little bit out of Kalkan but there is a shuttle bus at certain times of the day. Didn't use the beach club because I travelled with my 80 year old mother and she would have had trouble swimming so we stayed round the pool. Breakfast is served on a terrace with the most beautiful views. Staff were friendly and helpful as always. We always book a suite because the standard rooms are quite small. Looking forward to going back next year.

Room Tip: The standard rooms are very small so would be a good idea to book a suite or a duplex.
