Unlike British ruins where you have very limited access and health & safety spoil the experience Xanthos is underdeveloped. You have access all areas so you can go to any point and see everything

This area has many Lycian ruins, they are fascinating. This site is interesting - there were no facitlities when I visited in May. Worth seeing.

If archeaology flicks your switch this is a must! Like many, this site is located in a little known village in Turkey and hides a beautiful amphitheatre, temples however, unfortunately still in very poor condition.

Unfortunately archeological digs in Turkey is mainly done by Turkish archeaology students in their holidays, when we were there last weekend a group was due to arrive the next day.

8TL entry per person.

We used the Dolmus bus service from Kalkan and found them cheap and easy to use
