“Friendly welcome, very clean and great location”
Reviewed September 14, 2013

We were greeted by Ahmed & Kate and really well looked after, everyone at the Dionysia is very friendly & couldn't do enough for us. The hotel is very basic but very clean, clean bedding & towel every day. The food by the pool is great and the view from the roof top restaurant is breath taking. It was a perfect location for us, just far enough up the hill to prevent a heart attack! See you again next year.

Me , my wife and our 4 year old girl stayed for 4 days. Very happy with the quality of service. Kitchen chef was great. Consider having a dinner at terrace. We stayed at the apart. Big enough for a family.

Currently in Kalkan at this hotel. Not the best experience I have had. Although staff are polite and reasonably friendly, and the hotel is very clean and pool area Very pretty, you cannot swing a cat in the rooms - they are extremely small and have a tiny shower room. No space or furniture on the balcony!! -to sit out. Breakfast is good (ask for boiled eggs) and a lovely breakfast courtyard to sit in. So, If you want some space choose an apartment - not a hotel room at the DIonisya - very disappointed really but I suppose you get what you pay for -won't be back to this hotel.

Room Tip: You may get a small room with a sea view on upper floors

We stayed at the Villa Diana, Kalkan from the 29th July to the 12th August, and had the most amazing holiday ever! The Villa Was brilliant. So clean and really spacious. The cleaners came in every day with fresh towels and bedding and kept the place spotless. Having the hotel nearby was good to as we enjoyed many delicious meals on the moonlight terrace bar. Having drinks before dinner on the terrace was amazing. The staff were great and made our stay very welcome. Especially Yusef, Gurkan, and Hassan. We all had an amazing massage by Ismet too which I would thoroughly recommend. The highlight for us was the barbeques which took place on Saturday evenings at the pool side. We loved the Turkish dancing and Yusef and all the staff joined in an made it a fabulous evening. Thank you Kate and Ahmet too for making it an enjoyable holiday. We will most definitely be back. We have just spent a very relaxing week at the Dionysia Hotel. The hotel is very clean and all the staff are so friendly and look after you so well and always with a smile. The Saturday night BBQ is well worth attending, the food, staff and Turkish dancing all excellent. Kalkan is such a beautiful place and the hotel is very well positioned with just a short walk down to the town. The pool area is spotless and washed down daily and the poolside bar so relaxing and run by great staff. Breakfast is served by Ismet who greets you every morning with a lovely smile but his real talent is as a first class masseur. If there is one thing you must do that is book a massage with him, mine was the best I have ever had, thank you Ismet. We would recommend this hotel to anyone, it ticks every box for a relaxing holiday in beautiful Kalkan.

We have just returned from three lovely weeks in the Diana apartments, part of the Dionysia Hotel in Kalkan Turkey. Last year we stayed in the hotel, which we gave five stars, but as we were staying for longer wanted more facilities, such as a fridge and a washer.
We were greeted warmly, by the lovely Kate and Ahmet, when we arrived and shown the apartment. It was very clean and so cool. There is a large fan in the living area and free air con in the bedroom.
Marble floors run throughout with rugs scattered around. In the main living area there are two settees, one of which pulls out into an extra double bed, side tables, lamps, dining table and chairs. The kitchen is equipped with a fridge, kettle, sink, hob, dishwasher, pots and pans, glasses, dishes, plates and cuttlery. There is also a juicer to make use of the oranges that you can buy locally.
A welcome hamper was waiting for us and had all that we required for the next couple of days.
The bathroom has a toilet, sink, shower and washing machine. The bedroom has a large double bed, plenty of storage, dressing table and bedside tables. There is also a mosquito plug to plug in at night.
The balcony at the front has enough room for a small table and two chairs. The views are amazing and always something different to see. There is also a small balcony leading from the bedroom with a clothes horse for washing or just beach towels and swim wear.

The swimming pool is a couple of seconds across the road and the swimming pool is sparkling. There is a pool bar open from 8am-8pm for drinks and snacks. The lunchtime snacks we had were very tasty and a wide menu to choose from.
There are alot of sunbeds, small tables and parasols and as long as everybody is fair and does not reserve beds whilst they go into town, plenty for everybody.

There is a moonlight bar at the top of the hotel and it is worth the climb to get the brilliant views of Kalkan. There is also the hotel restaurant and again a wide range of choice for all prices and tastes. On a Saturday night there is a barbeque night where the staff make sure you have a good time, which is also their aim for the whole of your stay.

Across the road, next to the apartments, is the garden area were you are able to watch television, usually sports, or sit in the comfortable chairs.

Even though we were in the apartments, we were able to open an account and charge drinks and meals, and the use of a safe, to pay at the end of our stay.

I had a couple of amazing massages with Ismet and recommend them one hundred percent. He will relieve your tension and make you feel totally relaxed.

We were so sad when our time came to leave. We have made some wonderful friends in Kalkan and hope to be back as soon as we can.

Room Tip: I would not had neen disappointed with any of the apartments. There are two on the ground floor, tw...
