As said in other reviews, the staff really make this hotel something special. I have never experienced anything quite like it before. We had a fantastic room (suite, 422) which was plenty big enough for 2 adults (own bedroom) and 2 teenagers. The balcony was huge and the views were superb. Bar prices at the hotel were incredibly competitive which certainly encouraged us to spend time there. The hotel website does not do it justice - it's much better than the photos!

so where to start, I stayed here a year ago now but am going back very soon and thought I ought to write review, right I've been on many holidays but i can sincerely say this is the best holiday I have been on!
reasons for this are, the staff were great, they interacted with us, could help us with anything and were a joy to be around, Also the food was lovely and it was great to have a buffet. The rooms were very spacious, clean, with large balconys which unless you have a garden room all face out and have spectacular views! Although a hill we walked everynight into town which kept us fit was night to see different people as we went.
I would reccomend this for anyone! familys, young couples, older couples, solos, it really ideal. don't know how much more I can reccomend. best holiday you will have!

Room Tip: any room apart from garden rooms have an amazing view!

We arrived at the hotel about 6.00 am in the morning and were greeted by friendly staff and taken to our room which was huge. The view of the bay was fantastic. Whilst the rooms and hotel could do with a little TLC, the staff and views more than make up for this.

Barry who runs the bar is a lovely man and very funny. In fact all the staff are very helpful and sincere a credit to the hotel.

We certainly intend to return.

Hotel very clean and the rooms are modern, quiet area which is good in Kalkan as lots of noisy dogs at night. The Staff at the Happy Hotel are Brilliant nothing is too much trouble, lovely pool with great views over Kalamar Bay. Food good if not a little repetative, overall great value for money.

What a lovely hotel, where do I start. We chose a deluxe room as the prices were very reasonable and worth the upgrade.Very big room, comfortable bed and great balcony.
The staff could not have been more helpful, especially as one day some of my washing blew over the top and it was no trouble to retrieve it back.
The receptionist looked a number of things up for us on the internet, and nothing was too much trouble.
Lots of steps.but thank goodness we had a car which we used all the time.
We ate in the hotel a few times, mainly at lunchtime, and their omelettes were delicious as was the ample breakfast.
Would definitely recommend staying here, but get a car unless you are superfit.

Room Tip: Get a high floor deluxe room

Literally just got back from two weeks in this hotel and felt the need to add my
two penn'orth. The views are to die for which does help the on-flight luggage allowance
problem. Halve your normal total of books.... You'll never read them because your eye
will be distracted to yet another sun-kissed aspect of the bay a couple of hundred feet
below.Don't panic Hotel has a fairly expansive library of 'Seconds'
Every paradise has it's flaws so it might be helpful to forewarn so you won't be
disappointed.Firstly, I don't think that the hotel is suitable for anybody with more than
average mobility issues. It's set on a hillside and there are many steps. The Kalkan resort centre is 20 - 30 minutes walk away even for relatively fit people and it involves
two steepish inclines.Be prepared to taxi or fit in with the Hotel shuttle if you think that you might have problems...OR... stay local...Half a dozen great restaurants within
400 yards and all cheaper than going in town with the 'Posers' I would recommend
the 'Vita' and ' La Sera' for quality, price and proximity to the Happy Hotel.
It's worth considering an up-grade to the deluxe rooms for the following reason....
Most of the standard rooms are spacious but the balconies have a stone frontage
which detracts from easily seeing the views whilst seated whereas the deluxe rooms
have an open wrought iron frontage which means you can see for miles and miles and
miles without having to stand ( so much more languid and self-indulgent.
The most obvious drawback is Kalkan's lack of any decent beach but believe me the
Harpy's(Happy) hotel has a view that will trump nearly anywhere you've been before.
I'll keep the plus points to a minimum because everybody else has waxed
eloquent about them but let me stress that they aren't inaccurate reports.
Rooms ,large to massive... View...here we go again.... Staff...won't find any more helpful,..
In-house Hotel pricing is very competitive and won't burn a hole in your pocket.
Talking to people who holiday at this hotel regularly it seems that all nationalities of a
certain 'mind-set' find their way to the Hotel. Tension and up-tightedness melt away
within the first day.The cleaning staff are excellent and so punctual to a room that you
could set your watch by them.
All rooms generally face in a westerly direction meaning that the setting sun views
ensure a sunny afternoon / evening aspect which I guarantee will lead to a few
marital problems as to who goes for the first shower......
In conclusion.... Enjoy everything this hotel can offer... It's a rare mix and you won't
be disappointed until that dreadful final day when those leaving are dragged away,
kicking and screaming.
