Description: Thıs restaurant boasts a fantastıc vıew over the harbour at Kalkan. Abdullah has been workıng ın Kalkan for 11 years and opened thıs restaurant wıth Muzaffer thıs year. The food ıs a mıx of tradıtıonal Turkısh dıshes wıth some surprıses on the menu. It ıs perfect for groups to enjoy dınner and some ımpromptu dancıng or for a couple to enjoy a romantıc dınner.

Don't be put off by the lack of snazzy ground level pomp or the narrow stairwell of this restarant. Once you up on the terrace you will be welcomed by the ever smiling abdullah and one of the best views over Kalkan harbour. Nothing is too much trouble and as you expect from Kalkan, the food is fabulous and very reasonable. Give it a try and I am sure you wont be dissapointed.

We loved it here, something of an undiscovered gem. The food was excellent. Eight of us enjoyed our meals, all superb. Very friendly. Ignore the unpromising exterior. The climb to the top is worth the views, food and atmosphere.

Slowly and surely this little restaurant is growing - and so should its reputation. The food is excellent, the service is good and friendly, the view from the terrace is fabulous and it really doesn't break the bank. We ate here twice in October - succulent steaks, tender liver, prefectly spiced ickli kofte and my favourite deep fried ice cream . . . couldn't decide which flavour to have and both appeared from the kitchen! Each time, two courses with a bottle of wine and mint tea came to around £35 for two people which in my mind is a bargain. It's a shame not many people walk down this road - most head on into town - but do pop in. There's a nice lunch menu and you are also welcome just for drinks.

We had been 'encouraged' to eat at Ephesus by the friendly guy on the door. We were frankly disappointed with the whole experience. Maybe it's because this is the last week of the season but i doubt much will change. The menu was average and was further limited by a number of dishes being unavailable. Decor was shabby...
Service was ok but we were put off by both waiters smoking over the balcony whilst we waited for and ate our meals. My wife had a steak which she said was ok. I chose the moussaka and was thoroughly disappointed with a watery dish that lacked flavour and presentation.
So, one steak and one moussaka together with two G & T's plus a small beer and the bill came to around £50. There are so many better restaurants in Kalkan who deliver excellent food with great service at the same price. We couldn't wait to leave!
I do hope that this experience was a one off and that previous reviewers enjoyed this restaurant in the height of the season.
