There are more than 3 keys. Lynne's daughter Lucy let herself into the villa when we having dinner in the town . She took the spare key and the laundry key.. I was not impressed as she was drunk ,
The pictures of the villa have also been altered as there are two electricity wires
spoiling the view from the swimming pool.
The wifi was very interemittant and the satiil/cable was only good if you spoke Turkish..I was worried about the security as there was bits of wood placed by the doors but of course Lucy had her own key..
The bin smelt of smoke and there was cigarette papers in the pool
This should have been a joy but sadly it was spoilt by Lucy and to top it all there was a water shortage and we were left with no water at all despite the fact they were supposed to have a back up system.
Lynne asked my partner if he had checked it when we arrived .Since it was down the pool steps under the house most unlikely..
Lynne lives in Italy so having the spare keys there is unrealistic.
The people responsible for the running of the house were very helpful but the pool was not maintained for the first week due to an accident, Not Lynne's fault but surely there must be other staff that can take over.
We were there for 3 weeks and the first week was completely ruined.
It's very difficult to describe how perfect this villa is but I'll try!
Firstly the booking process was very easy and Lynne the owner was in touch regularly and sent extensive useful info about the villa. We were visiting on our own for the first week and my daughter and her partner joined for the second! The villa is amazing and the views are just stunning! Probably one of the best in kalkan. It took us ages to explore when we arrived as the place is huge! The master bedroom was enormous with a lovely private terrace and large double bathroom with jacuzzi bath. I will never forget looking at that view each morning. Two further doubles and a twin. My daughter also loved her little private balcony. The kitchen is fabulous and had everything and more that you could need. Lynne had organised a welcome pack of breakfast food and supplies of tea/ coffee. She also organised fees and wine which I tried to at osman for! Thank you Lynne
The lounge is large and airy and leads onto the pool
And outside dining area. The pool is gorgeous and is bigger than it appears in the pics . Was a welcome relief as it was very hot during the second week. Lynne had left supplies of every cleaning item you could need and this was much appreciated, however my husband got a little bored when I explored carrefour for replacements!
The sitcom was throughout, to be honest the first week we only used it in bedroom at night as the lounge stays quite cool with all the doors open.
I could go on forever about this lovely villa and my only complaint is that I am now looking at accomadtion for Septembers hols and nothing is good enough!
Kalkan is a lovely town with rooftop restaurants amid quaint cobbled lanes. The food was delicious.
I can only recommend that you book this beatiful villa with Lynne, you will not regret it.
We hope to see it again soon!
During our stay at Villa Narin my favourite moments were watching the sunrise and the sunset, looking over the sea with the island view whilst being surrounded by green rolling hills and olive groves.
In the evenings we ate mainly from the barbecue (cooking on that grill with that exquisite view is tantamount to paradise), a light breeze cooling us from the sea and the sounds of the town rolling up the hill. We also used the Pergola to eat and drink, it means a bit of carrying and organising but, again, that view and the seating is enough for about 16 people comfortably.
We stayed as 2 families (total 8 people, and for 4 days we were actually 10 people) the villa is more than equipped to accommodate this number: the kitchen is practically a professional kitchen and is open so a very sociable space, you can even take a pool break if you wish; each room has its own terrace making a wonderfully private and useful space; the 4 bathrooms give excellent facility for everyone to get ready and keep their sense of privacy; the kitchenette and the top terrace are almost like having a secret haven all of your own - I used it for yoga in the mornings and for a sundowner in the evenings - during the day my daughter used it for sunbathing and we couldn't hear her music from downstairs.
Visited in October and the weather was still fabulous . We recommend hiring a car at the airport due to the location of the property and the many attractions that are worth visiting . A lovely simple drive through the Turkish landscape takes you straight into Kalkan, the villa is actually at the top of a hillside overlooking the bay which is stunning . The villa itself is tranquil, secluded luxury and is completely blissful. If you want to go down into the town its a short drive / walk and there are plenty of cheap taxis to get you back up the hill . Food is reasonable and authentic with the old town offering lashings of authentic charm .
We wanted somewhere quiet with spectular views and Villa Nairn lives up to that with ease. The spacious well appointed lounge diner opens onto a patio and pool area with views I didn't want to look away from.
Large comfy bedrooms and posh bathrooms. We felt so safe and welcome everywhere too, we love Kalkan and will be back, so much more to do and see. Villa Nairn is one of the best places we have stayed in, clean, homely.
I loved waking up every morning at Villa Narin and going out on to my balcony to look at the view down to the harbour and out to see, always with blue skies. Our extended family of 9 had a wonderful time and the owners and the local manager Ismail really went the extra mile to make our holiday brilliant and very memorable.
