“We didn't want to leave!”
Reviewed September 1, 2015 for a stay in July 2015

We had a wonderful week at the villa which was recommended by friends who also love it. It is beautifully appointed in a Turkish manner with multiple living areas to suit all. We loved sunset drinks in the tower overlooking the stunning bay . The garden and verandah area also provided an oasis from the heat of the day. It also provided privacy from the rest of the resort. So in effect you got the best of both worlds as your own lovely villa ,but also access to the amenities of the resort including beautiful pools and sunbathing areas. We had wonderful hammams and enjoyed various water sports . The town can also be easily reached by taxi and or from the water by boat. Kalkan has very thing to offer for a holiday, great restaurants, atmosphere and shopping till you drop ! The locals are also very friendly and can't do enough to help. Ahmet the taxi driver recommended by Eve was very obliging and not only took us on trips but showed us where to find supplies including a wonderful market. We also spent a wonderful day on a gullet recommended by Eve . The traditional meal we were served on board was simply delicious. We had our family of 5 and two of our relatives which the two villas catered for perfectly. The bay provided some of the most beautiful swimming we have ever experienced with clear beautiful water feed by fresh springs. it was a memorable holiday and we can't wait to return hopefully for longer..

“perfect bliss”
Reviewed August 14, 2014 for a stay in July 2014

We travelled to Kalkan with our family of teenage/twenty something daughters and friends. As we are usually a party of minimum 8, we often have difficulty finding somewhere which is large enough to accomodate us as well as being comfortable. Its quite a treck to get to Kalkan - we were travelling from Paris and some of our party had just flown in from Australia. We arrived tired and hot and hungry. The villa was cool and very spacious - elegantly decorated and well serviced by airconditioners and overhead fans. Although owner Eve had recommended a number of great restaurants in the village( which we tried out during out stay - all great) the first night we ate at the hotel. The staff couldnt have been more helpful and gracious even though it was late and most of the buffet eaten over. The next morning we woke up to the true beauty of villa kaya, the front of the house draped in bouganvillea, the scent of stephanotis wafting on the light breeze as we gazed out through the trees to Kalkan Bay. And so began our 10 days of perfect bliss. Most mornings we would head to the waters edge of the resort in which this villa resides, swim in the bay and laze around on layouts. We'd then head back for a late breakfast on the front deck overlooking the pool and the bay ( yoghurt and toast and cereal from the shop at the top of the resort) and decide on our activity for the day. Eve's recommended boat trip was wonderful, but mostly we lazed by our own private pool, read books, visited ruins, beaches, shopped for leather goods in Kalkan, or used the resort facilities. It was too hot to contemplate tennis but we used the boat shuttle to Kalkan daily as well as the gym (basic but adequate),the beauty salon ( good value for a resort) and the restaurants for snacks. The best part of this lovely house for us was being part of a good resort with a great location - Patara Prince is located far enough out of Kalkan to be restful and quiet yet close enough to be easily accessible by taxi or boat for dinners and activities. The villa is elegant and well serviced with dishwasher ,washing machine and dryer, good sized barbecue and the beautiful garden and the stone construction of the villa ensures the house remains physically cool. There were plenty of plates and cutlery, towels and layouts for all - the three levels also ensured we were not on top of each other. The villa was well serviced by Patara Hotel staff during our stay - fresh towels, and sheets, regular pool and garden maintenance. I was also pleasantly surprised by the staff at Patara Prince. Some of the reviews from hotel guests at the resort were underwhelming. We found all staff to be polite, warm, welcoming and helpful. Overall a beautiful home in a lovely peaceful setting. It's not like renting a villa really - its more like your own little piece of heaven.

“fantastic and will be going again!”
Reviewed November 30, 2013 for a stay in October 2013

the villa was very clean and tidy. it was well maintained and a pool man came in everyday to make sure the pool was running properly and keep it clean. the villa is older probably 15-20 years old ,hence it has got lots of character and a great view from the top floor. we went as a family 3 teenagers and 2 adults. didn't use the cooking facilities as we went into kalkan every night .for an evening meal.
I would definitely recommend this villa and will be going to stay again.

i hesitate to write this review as i will want to book this villa for next year and fear I may lose out to a reader of this! we booked both the villas as we travelled as 2 families. Firstly, outside. the gardens are immaculate, lush, and provide shade when wanted, and sun when required. the pool is perfect and the whole area is totally private. a rarity in Kalkan. the views are breathtaking. Inside. immaculate, large, cool and inviting, although to be honest, we spent the whole time outdoors taking in the scenery, and really only sleeping inside (great aircon!). this is the first time I have ever written a review, and I cannot find fault at all about this property!
Book it (but not at the time I want!)

“A privilege to stay in such a beautiful place”

The main villa is an extensive traditional design of high quality.. It is comprehensively equipped - Tvs, WiFi, kitchen, BBQ etc - and everything worked .The pool was clean and big enough for the kids to have fun. The smaller attached villa was great for the grandchildren. The Patara Prince resort was fine for pools, sea access and occasional meals, however, be prepared for good exercise on the hills.

All in all, a very pleasurable experience for our extended family of 9 people

We recently stayed in this Villa and would definitely recommend it. An excellent destination for R & R, with reliable weather and a Villa which makes the most of the climate with lovely shaded areas away from the heat of the sun when necessary and plenty of space.
