“Simply awesome”
Reviewed June 18, 2014 for a stay in May 2014

My wife and I have just returned from Kalkan and a stay at Villa Kahili with friends. We read all the reviews before booking and the only criticism we could find was the lack of hooks behind doors. Well, I can report that this has been remedied - there is no shortage of hooks! The existing 5 Star reviews are accurate. This is a splendid villa with spectacular views across Kalkan Bay and beyond. The downside of the splendid views is of course the walk to and from the village, but I am 64 and had no difficulty. It is no more than a 10 minute walk down to the village, maximum 15 minutes to the harbour, and taxis are plentiful if you want to take the short ride back up the hill. A hire car is only required if you wish to explore further afield. Sheila organised private airport transfers on our behalf, and car hire is available from the same company, or others, if required. The accommodation can only be described as luxurious. We have rented various villas and apartments across Europe but Villa Kahili is easily of the highest standard we have found. The two "smaller" bedrooms are in fact very generously sized; the double bedroom on the ground floor has an adjacent toilet and shower and direct access to the pool terrace while the twin bedroom on the first floor has en-suite toilet and shower facilities and private balcony. The master bedroom is palatial and I defy anyone not to experience the "wow" factor each time they enter. It also has a private balcony and stunning en-suite facilities This is a beautifully bright and well presented property with easily controlled and effective air conditioning if it is required. The kitchen is very well equipped, and all three bath and shower rooms have been completely refurbished for this season. They are fabulous. Only now, as I write this review, do I realise that there was never any shortage of hot water - we have regularly experienced such shortages elsewhere in both Greece and Turkey. We'll be back to Kahili and I have no hesitation in recommending the property to others. I do not ordinarily write reviews, but this property is extraordinary and deserves a 'thank you'.

“Wonderful villa”
Reviewed June 8, 2014 for a stay in June 2014

We have just returned from a truly amazing holiday in beautiful Kalkan. We stayed in Villa Kahili. Wow, everything about this villa is superb. Fabulous pool and gardens, luxurious bedrooms and bathrooms, comfortable lounge and a very well equipped kitchen. The owner arranged our transfer from Dalaman airport. We did hire a car but realised that it wasn't really necessary around Kalkan as the local taxis are plentiful. A walk from the villa into Kalkan only takes about 10 mins. Many restaurants to choose from all providing good food. We visited Patara, a very interesting ancient city. Altogether a wonderful holiday. I would certainly recommend Villa Kahili as a first class place to stay.

“WOW - What a Place”
Reviewed May 19, 2014 for a stay in April 2014

We had such an amazing time in Kalkan and Villa Kahilli was superb and enhanced our stay to a well-managed and luxury stay. We are a well-travelled family and have been to lots of different places, this was the only one where all 3 children shed a tear when we left. Villa Kahilli was exceptionally clean, well equipped, modern and tastefully decorated. Kalkan is a lovely place and very relaxed fully of very friendly and sincere people. Eating out was a joy each time and the service and food exceptional. We can’t wait to go back time and time again. Sheila and David are lovely hosts with lots of information and a slick service. thank you very much.

“Relaxing villa in beautiful Kalkan”
Reviewed May 14, 2014 for a stay in May 2014

The villa is airy, spacious, calming and very homely. The master bedroom is beautiful and massive! The kitchen is really well resourced.. Pool and outside is immaculate. We enjoyed playing some of the board games too! Kalkan itself is gorgeous.. Food is awesome and the people are so friendly. Lovely little shops to wander around.

“excellent accommodation in an excellent location”
Reviewed September 11, 2013 for a stay in August 2013

The villa was very nice place to spend our holiday close enough to the town but far enough away to still be peaceful. The directions on how to get to the Villa from the Airport were very good with step by step instructions. Some really good trips can be bought in the town for a reasonable cost. There are so many nice places to eat in the town that there is no need to eat at the same place twice, however it was just as nice to stay in and make use of the BBQ at the villa.

“Another fantastic holiday”
Reviewed August 12, 2013 for a stay in June 2013

We have returned from yet another fantastic holiday at the wonderful Villa Kahili. This is our 4th year of going to this villa and it never fails to impress.
The villa was spotless as always, the outside pool and dining area was washed down every morning by a very helpful gardener/pool man. The gardens are kept really well and the shaded dining area is lovely for a break from the sunshine and al fresco bbq's. The pool is kept crystal clear and cleaned every morning. The pool man returns every night to tidy the sunbeds and make sure everything is ok. The kitchen has everything you need to make it a real home from home, with plenty of china and glassware. The air conditioned lounge area has plenty of seating, wifi, music centre,tv & dvd player. The roof terrace is a lovely spot for an evening drink before you go out, you can sit in the sun and watch all the little boats come back into the harbour.
The town itself is a little gem. The people are fantastic and so friendly. You are spolit for choice with restaurants to suit every taste and budget but if you decide to eat in the villa, there are good butchers, supermarkets and fresh fruit & veg shops to get everthing you need.
The villa is on a steep hill, but the town is a 15 minute stroll downhill and if you choose not to walk back up, then a taxi back is really cheap.
We have already booked up to go back yet again and we are counting down the time until we are back in wondeful Kalkan and Villa Kahili.
