“Another fantastic meal!!”
Reviewed September 24, 2012

Moonlight restaurant ( not to be mistaken for the bar with the same name) is one of my must visit places when I'm in Kalkan, I had to book two days in advance & got the last table, which gives you an indication of it's popularity.
Always eat off the set menu, their are lots of delicious choices & three courses with bottle of wine for two £40.
Brilliant restaurant, but don't forget to book in advance.

“make a reservation!”
Reviewed September 24, 2012

This restaurant is a real gem, it doesn't look like much from downstairs as it doesn't have a frontage being on top of some appartments, but don't let looks deceive you. The view from the roof terrace is great, especially if you're at the front. I managed to book the last available table which was at the side so the view was only towards the town and hills beyond but still a nice place to sit and eat! It has a very good and well deserved reputation as a family run business serving good turkish cuisine. You can order from the a la carte menu(must be booked in advance) but really just go with the set menu which has choices. And the food was fantastic, we had the 3 course meal, nicest Mousaka I've tasted and the rice pudding desert was so good but the Baklava even better! The service nice and friendly, a real family feel, prices very reasonable. All in all well worth visiting.

“Great food in a lovely setting”
Reviewed September 21, 2012

We ate here on the first night of our holiday, it's a little rooftop terrace restaurant, family owned with a superb view over the town being quite high up.

A good tip for this place would be to pop in during the day to select your meal choice from the a la carte menu as it's all cooked to order. We had to eat from the set menu as we didn't know.

The food we had was lovely, stuffed peppers and vine leaves, then a local beef dish that I just couldn't pronounce, a type of herby, spicy casserole set on a bed of chips (yes, sounds strange but they weren't like chips as we know them, they were very thin cut and soft, more like sliced potato)

The staff were very friendly and the service was good as well

It was a great introduction to turkish cuisine and highly recommended for a romantic dinner for two - look for the sign outside on Kalamar road which says "come and watch my mum cooking"!

“Best dinning experience in Kalkan”
Reviewed September 20, 2012

We came here after reading a TA review on our last night, as it happens it turned out to be our best dinning experience from all 5 nights in Kalkan. The family who run it are very friendly and make you feel at home while the food is simply delicious and original. Had we not been so tired after a full day of sightseeing and driving around we would have loved to stay longer and enjoy their company.
