Fantastic traditional Turkish food in comfortable surroundings, followed by great close up magic by one of the staff.

A great night out for all the family - well done guys

“Fun time & great food”
Reviewed October 21, 2012

You have to go and meet the kaya boys if you are in Kalkan. The food is so good especially the grilled king prawns in garlic, absolutely gorgeous. Their mixed meze is a great starter for two and really does turkish food proud. All the staff are lovely and so friendly plus you get the added entertainment from kadir of the best magic tricks and card tricks brought right to yout table. A great night out will be had by all. I would never go to Kalkan and not find the time to eat in this restuarant. It makes my holiday.

“Unfriendly And Unwelcoming”
Reviewed October 20, 2012

We should have known better I suppose than to trust to a restaurant that advertises itself outside as "friendly" - why they would need to do that in Kalkan where just about everyone is friendly speaks volumes. The reception we received was such as to give us the feeling that they were doing us a favour and it felt very much as if they were pandering to groups of regulars. We felt very uncomfortable throughout our meal (we had the Lamb shanks which were surely mutton they were so chewy) and couldn't wait to leave. Our only unpleasant experience in 2 weeks in Kalkan.

“Kaya, a must to visit for a memorable stay in Kalkan.”
Reviewed October 16, 2012

Have been going to Kalkan now for four years. We discovered Kaya by word of mouth the first year we went. What a total delight. It is run by the boys as we have come to call them but they are men. You have Errol who is called the boss, Kadir is his partner and is a boni fide magician, then there is Alper the young brother of Errol but the cool dude. They have at the moment working for them Taner and Tamer the 17yr old twins. Now these wonderful folks make you feel like you are special each time you see them. The food is not your traditional Turkish fare but it is good and I have never had a bad meal there yet. You can even just go in and sit and have a drink be it alcohol or just a coffee and you are still made very welcome. Love this place. We have met many people since going there from all walks of life ie doctor's, lawyers, an inspector from the police force.care workers and even down to earth old lorry drivers. All of them with the same out look on this oasis of fun, A sheer pleasure to go to. They are extremely helpful and if possible will assist you in any way they can. So please give them a visit and experience them first hand. They are waiting to meet you all. Have the full Kaya experience yourself. Enjoy.
