“Beautiful villa in picturesque location”
Reviewed September 27, 2017 for a stay in September 2017

We had a fantastic stay at Villa Barinak and would Highly recommend this villa to any holiday makers wanting to visit Kalkan. The accommodation offers stunning views from the top floor ottoman terrace, and is in the ideal location to explore beautiful Kalkan. Its only a 10/15 minute stroll into Kalkan town, but is far enough out to offer peaceful surroundings. We found the villa to be very well equipped, including a proper cot for our 10 week old baby and mosquito nets should you need them - although we didn't see one our whole trip. It's a beautiful villa and has been made very comfortable by the owner, I wouldn't hesitate to book it again. I'm still dreaming of the holiday...

“We didn't want to leave”
Reviewed June 27, 2017 for a stay in June 2017

Our third, and definitely not last stay at beautiful Villa Barinak. It is an outstanding villa in a stunning location. We have had a few villa holidays and Villa Barinak is our undisputed favourite.

We had a fantastic time staying there. It is covered with flowers and the garden area is very pretty. The villa is appointed luxuriously with everything we could ever have needed and more besides. It’s like home but better. There are beautiful views from the balcony and the stunning Ottoman seating area on the rooftop.

The villa is well- maintained and very clean, with daily maid service from two friendly ladies. The pool is also very clean, and is maintained daily.
We noticed new parasols and other bits this year. It is obvious that the owner takes pride in getting everything just right.

The agent, Susan is very helpful and friendly. She responds very quickly to any communications.

The villa is 20 minutes stroll down to the beautiful town centre with its numerous rooftop restaurants and pretty harbour. It takes a bit longer to walk back due to the upwards incline but we felt we needed the walk after eating the delicious food on offer. Taxis are plentiful and reasonably priced. There is a shop just 5 minutes walk down the road called Can Can supermarket. They stock almost everything you need, and are really friendly. They will happily deliver your shopping. There is a fishmonger (he keeps moving but he’s further up the main road this year) and a couple of butcher shops in the town so we had everything we needed for a barbecue now and then, using the very swish Weber BBQ. Also a friendly greengrocer with fresh vegetables at a ridiculously low price.

The shop keepers and restaurateurs in Kalkan remembered us from previous years, which was really nice.
Three really nice things to do if you are staying in Kalkan and can bear to tear yourself away from the villa:
1. A boat trip round the islands with stop offs for swimming and a nice lunch- great value and very relaxing
2. Get the dolmus to Kaş and walk up the beautiful flower filled cobbled road and take lots of photos of the houses and restaurants with bougainvillea covered balconies and pomegranate trees. The shops are good too.
3. Go to Villa Mahal Beach club. Not suitable for little children due to the drops into the sea BUT you will have a pretty area all to yourself, shaded by parasols and olive trees. A lovely (if slightly pricy) restaurant on site, and the beautiful turquoise sea to swim I, accessible by ladder from the platforms.

We didn’t want to leave.

“Wonderful stay!”
Reviewed June 23, 2017 for a stay in May 2017

My daughter and I joined friends in staying at Villa Barinak in Kalkan. The villa itself is delightful, comfortable and well maintained. It had plenty of room for 3 adults and 2 children. The kitchen has new appliances and is very easy to use. Having a pool right on the terrace was so convenient, the kids could run in and out all day. We loved sitting around the table outside and enjoying the beautiful weather. The top floor terrace with sitting area is lovely and has amazing views of the sea. It is a short walk into the town of Kalkan, and and even shorter walk to several local restaurants. I would absolutely recommend Villa Barinak!

“Villa Barinak, a place to unwind”
Reviewed October 17, 2016 for a stay in September 2016

Four of us had a fantastic week at Villa Barinak. There were decades between our ages but we all loved the holiday. As well as some beautiful classic pieces in the villa there is also modern facilities like TV and wifi. Our transfer was waiting at the airport and we were warmly greeted on arrival at the villa. The short walk into town is quite steep but cheap taxis are plentiful. The villa had everything we needed and the sea views especially from rooftop terrace were fantastic. There is a small supermarket 2 mins away. The ice making machine provided was a boon and we used mint that we from a garden urn in our evening drinks. One evening I cooked a meal and used chillis also growing near the kitchen. We went on a great day cruise of swimming and snorkelling from a hired boat. Another day we spent at the long and sandy Patara beach. Thursday was market day, lots of bartering and tea sipping. I loved switching on the underwater pool light in the evening, sipping cool drinks and wishing we could stay longer. I'd love to return to the villa, next time for longer

“Perfect location for a relaxing and fun week in Turkey”
Reviewed July 21, 2016 for a stay in June 2016

We stayed in the villa for a week, and had a really lovely time. The villa itself is both beautiful and practical. The rooms are clean and comfortable, the kitchen is well equipped, and the pool and terrace are exactly what you would want from a holiday villa. We particularly liked the roof terrace, which provides magical views of the surrounding area and is a very pleasant place to enjoy a relaxing drink after a tough day of sunbathing! The flowers in the garden are delightful too. The location is secluded, which is ideal as the town is pretty lively, but is only short ten minute walk away. Kalkan itself is a bustling little place, with a nice mix of restaurants, shops, and bars, and has some nice 'beach clubs' that are a pleasant way to pass the day- Yali was our favourite, and is a bit more upmarket than the rest. I would thoroughly recommend this villa, and Kalkan- we can't wait to go back.

“A beautiful and very well equipped villa, guaranteed to provide an excellent holiday”
Reviewed August 17, 2015 for a stay in August 2015

This was our second visit to Villa Barinak, and no doubt we will go again. The villa is absolutely beautiful, with all the different patio areas brimming with flowers. There is lots of space. We were particularly impressed with the design and equipment in the bathrooms and kitchen, upgraded since our first visit.
The quality of support from the moment of booking right through to the maid service and the local service manager is outstanding.
Kalkan is a delightful town in the middle of a fascinating area of Turkey. The walk back up the hill is a bit steep. Get a cab! They're very cheap
