September 2012... Just returned from the 3T hotel in Kalkan with friends after a two week stay. We found the staff very friendly and helpfull, whether requiring a taxi or booking a place at a restaurant. Nothing was too much trouble. All times night or day we we received a friendly greeting from them.
The rooms were spacious enough to have a double settee and arm chair plus coffee table.
Although only B & B there are no restrictions on taking food into you room.
There is a large pool with plenty of solid beds, not the usual plastic ones.
The hotel is set in a quiet part of Kalkan within easy walking distance of an excellent private beach, tiled no sand.
The cost on the beach is 9.5 tl each person and this includes a bed and umbrella plus free use of pedalo and canoe! There is a restaurant which serves excellent food at a reasonable cost. ALSO a free ride back up the hill to the 3T.
All in, an excellent place to stay in a small quiet hotel. People we met there were on a return visit, that to me says it all.
Would we stay there again? Definitely.
Wilkinsons.

Nicely appointed and spacious accommodation, great pool area and superb view from the terrace bar, the 3T Apart hotel is ideally situated if you want peace and quiet to relax and unwind. It is approximately 20 minute walk from the centre of Kalkan. Kalkan is a great holiday destination but not suitable for people with mobility problems, we didn’t find the distance to/from our accommodation too problematic and walked it each day but we made sure to avoid the hottest part of the day. Even in early September the temperature was a challenge. If you prefer not to walk there are plenty of taxis and a regular dolmus minibus service (white minibus with blue horizontal stripe).

Except for breakfast for hotel guests, the 3T complex doesn’t have in-house catering but staff will happily order tasty take-away food for you from a local café.

The only things I could fault in our self-catering apartment were the hard mattresses and pillows, also, there was no toaster and tea towels/dishcloths were not provided. On the plus side, the remote-controlled aircon was a God-send, the fridge freezer was spacious and ideal for freezing bottles of water, the shower worked really well and the bath towels were soft. Externally the pool was a good size and the sunbeds were comfy and plentiful (take your own beach towel) - the pool-side showers need attention.

On our final day we checked out at noon but weren't scheduled to be picked up from our apartment until 9.00pm. The manager very kindly gave us a lovely twin-bedded hotel suite in which to shower.

On departure, the manager and another member of staff shook our hands (twice) and waved us off. Lovely staff, super accommodation – we would happily recommend the 3T Apart Hotel and Kalkan as a holiday destination.

For restaurant recommendations I’d suggest The House Café opposite - Ali the Manager is very personable. Café Aqua and Café Vita are a short walk away as is Topaz (above La Sera) where we had our favourite meal.

Day trip tip – the Saklikent Gorge, plus amphitheatre, trout farm and Patara beach trip is well worth the £20 per person. Also, head to the Thursday market towards the end of the day - the stallholders are much less enthusiastic/overpowering than they are in the morning.

Happy Holidays!

Kathryn & Paul

First the service but the manager is wonderful. The man deserves a raise because he makes that hotel. He was so helpful, nothing was too much trouble.

Our apartment was spacious and clean but a little tired but that is often the case in Turkey.

The pool was large and immaculately kept.

The Kalamar beach club is walk-able and recommended because they offer free lift back up the hill.

Kalkan can be got to in the evenings by a 40 minute walk or local min-bus. (Top tip: get on the bus when it is on the way down the hill or it fills up with guest from the Kulube Hotel at the bottom of the hill.) Tale a Taxi back at about 15TL.

We had a lovely stay at the 3T. Our room was very spacious and comfortable and the shower was really good. The situation, overlooking Kalamar Bay was beautiful. The terrace was a fab place to sit and savour the views and enjoy one of Mustafa's cocktails. The pool was lovely and young Mustafa was always on hand with the cool drinks! Selcuk, the manager, was so helpful. He helped us arrange trips and car hire and nothing was too much trouble. Thank you Selcuk.
I would recommend this hotel to anyone looking for a quiet corner of Kalkan and who would like to enjoy the wonderful hospitality shown by all the staff. Thankyou to all

Room Tip: The double bedrooms are a bit bigger than the twins and the appartments are even bigger.

Having recentley returned from Kalkan....and wishing we were still there I feel i should tell you about the 3T Otel where we stayed....it was just right! Our appartment was ace. 3 adullts and 2 children catered for in 2 bedrooms perfectly. Lovely living area, bathroom and balcony and a fridge big enough to stand in....should you feel the need on the hot barmy evenings! Air conditioning was switchonable/offable whenever it took your fancy and the staff were always so helpful and friendly.....even bringing us a beer whilst we were floating around IN the pool! ....now that's cool! Selcuk is so polite and unassumming and yet very organised and efficient. A lovely man. We would return immediately if we could....but alas, reality has reared its ugly head. GO if you are able to.
