We deliberated a lot over booking this hotel it was far more expensive than any others in our short list but after reading the trip advisors reviews and going on their website numerous times we decided to treat ourselves.

I am so glad we did. We absolutely love this hotel and feel it is worth the extra you pay.

The rooms are enormous, we stayed in a deluxe suite which is the standard room they offer. All rooms face the sea and you have an incredible view over Kalkan bay from your balcony.

The staff are very attentive and go out of their way to make your holiday special. Nothing is too much trouble, they even do complementary tea and cakes two afternoons a week.

The food at the hotel was the best we ate in Kalkan and although there are hundreds of restaurants in Kalkan we ended up eating here 3 out of our 8 nights :-)

Nearly everyone staying here were repeat customers and we have just booked to come back in Oct. We never come somewhere twice preferring to go to new places every time we go away but we couldn't resist.

Thank you to all the staff for such a wonderful stay

Alice and Javed

An excellent hotel, which exceeded our expectations . The staff could not have been more helpful. Muhammet Guven the food and beverages manager was particularly attentive and courteous. The hotel is well situated with beautiful views of the coastline and mountains, circa 10 minutes walk to Kalkan. The food and spa facilities were very good. All the staff without exception were friendly - nothing was too much trouble. We frequently stay at Relais and Chateaux hotels and the service at this hotel was better than many in that prestigious hotel chain. We will definitely return to this hotel.

We spent two weeks in this hotel to celebrate my birthday. It for adults only a there is not much for children to do. We had a complimentary dinner and Turkish bath. The breakfast is delicious with so many varieties to choose from. There's a Turkish baker at hand to add freshly made pastries. The staff are friendly and accommodating. The rooms are spacious, clean with sea view from all rooms.
You need to walk through a steep hill to reach the beach club. This needs some attention to build more steps as it can be slippery in some places,or even better is to provide a shuttle service to the beach.
The infinity swimming pool on the first floor is fantastic with the most beautiful views of Kalkan.

What else can we add to all the superlative reviews so far, except we agreed with all of them. Most guests we met have been going there twice a year ever since the hotel was opened.
A special mention must be said for the very personable hotel manager, Saviye Mutlu, who runs a very well organised operation. The tour operator, The Discerning Collection also deserved a mention for being so knowledgeable and helpful.
Well done to all those concerned.

Room Tip: Corner rooms especially but any room is nice.

We just returned from a 5 night stay after 5 nights in Istanbul. In retrospect we could have easily shaved 2 nights off of Istanbul and added them to Kalkan. The location in Kalkan was very good, although the hotel faces east, so late afternoon sun is lost (unless you get one of the few rooms at the end of the hotel on the water side - 403 being the best). The service and the food are what make this hotel shine. We ate there most nights and were never dissappointed. I can't say enough good things about the waiters that took care of us all day by the pool or during dinner or any other time. By the way, some reviewers have complained about not getting a sun bed near the pool, but we were much better off with our quite corner location on the lower deck with a nice breeze and the best view of all deck locations (the pool beds look over the pool and over the hotel). There were a few negatives which keep me from giving an excellent rating.
1. As noted Kalkan is extremely, if not entirely British. I would bet that my Husband and I were the only Americans in the town. If you are looking for a wonderful spa vacation, then Likya in Kalkan is the place to go, if you are looking to get a flavor of the Anatolian region of Turkey either go elsewhere or give yourself enough time for full day excursions out of town.
2. They nickel and dime a bit. Other than a couple of complementary bottles of water in the room you have to pay for all water, even with dinner. The mixed drinks are also over priced and not worth it based non how they are mixed.
3. We stayed in one of the Master deluxe suites (402) which was pretty with a very spacious outside area, but the shower consistently flooded the entire bathroom, the sliding door to the balcony was very difficult to operate and the view was perhaps not as good as other rooms. Also, the first night in the room we filled up the jacuzzi, but when we turned on the jets lots of black junk was extruded into the water, which turned us off from the experience. We spent our first night in 303 which was also a lovely room (with a much superior bathroom) and a wonderful view.

Overall, we very much enjoyed our stay, would recommend the hotel and would turn if and when we are back in the are for a more extensive tour of the region.

Room Tip: Room 403 is the cream of the crop, but all the rooms are lovey with great views. If you want one of the 3 fourth floor rooms go with either 401 or 403. There is a first floor room whose patio descends directly off the side into the (shared) infinity pool which seemed like fun.
