My wife and I booked a short break at Ambar Evleri, on the edge of the village of Saribelen in the mountains above Kalkan, S. W. Turkey. The two little houses have been designed to reflect the shape of the traditional Turkish :"ambar" - a glorified shed used by villagers to store food and equip[ment over the winter. You can still see the real thing in many villages. However, these ambars are wonderfully cosy and comfortable places to stay. We like walking and I also like spotting birds so this was an ideal spot to have a couple of days to do this. The surrounding mountains and forests and glorious. All in all it was a great stay and we hope to go back very soon. The owners were very friendly and helpful and made staying here straightforward. A real delight!
