We were staying in the Kisla area of Kalkan and this charming hotel was round the corner. We ate in their restaurant many times which was prepared with fresh ingredients from their garden with very generous and tasty portions with complimentary starters and desserts. Berksan, Suat and his wife, the chef were really kind, genuine people and the experience here was welcoming and Turkish rather than the brasher restaurants in Kalkan town, a 5 minute ferry ride away. They even let us store our cases and have a shower before leaving for the airport and we were not staying there just used their restaurant. Strongly recommend this place, you will not be disappointed. Fabulous views too.

Staying within walking distance of Kuluhana we stumbled across this establishment whilst exploring the area and enquiring about the water taxi into Kalkan.

Our first experience late morning and rather drawn by the comfy settees overlooking the beautiful view we stopped for a drink which resulted in our staying for pretty much the entirety of the afternoon including lunch. The aubergine and garlic entrees were very tasty and the calamari one of the best we have eaten in many countries. Nice thin rings of calamari, fresh and not chewy with a light batter. Yummy. Baskets of soft fresh bread to accompany.

The proprietor is lovely, really enjoyed talking with her, she made you feel very welcome and at home - nothing a problem.

Consequently, we returned for an evening meal and the hospitality was the same as welcoming old friends. We had a local feast of food and would recommend to others.

We stayed on the top floor of the hotel with a large terrace overlooking Kalkan Bay. The view was fabulous and the hammock the perfect place from which to enjoy it.

We had a cooker, fridge, kettle, etc., although we didn't cook - why would we when Nora's food was so good! Breakfasts were varied and abundant, with the typical Turkish plate of cheese, meat, tomato and cucumber, plus fruit and yogurt, toast and jam or honey, but also with a choice of eggs and always an extra something, such as delicious cheese pastries. The restaurant was open all day with a good variety of meals and snacks on offer. One night, Nora prepared us a traditional Ottoman meal which was absolutely delicious. We really appreciated the care she lavished on us, and the welcome and friendliness of both Nora and Ziya. It made our holiday with them so special.

Our room was a good size and the bed was very comfortable. There were no easy chairs but we sometimes sat in a nice area with sofas next to the restaurant, which had tourist information, magazines and a book swap. The apartment downstairs from us had a comfortable sitting/dining area with sofas, but not such a big terrace. I think on balance we preferred the terrace.

The infinity pool was lovely and always kept clean and inviting. We could also swim from the rocks adjoining the Kalkan Beach Club, which offers various water sports.

The ferry to Kalkan town ran approximately every half hour when we were there (cost 5 TL - just over £1).

Room tip: Be aware that the area is very hilly, and that there are lots of steps up to the top apartment and down to the sea.

This was one of the highlights of our road trip around Turkey. Kalkan is an easy drive from Fethiye and Kas and the famous Kaputas Beach are also close by. The villas are well positioned on the South side of Kalkan Bay. A 5 minute taxi boat ride across the bay ($5 AUD return) will take you to the busier area where there are many bars, restaurants and shops. Nora the host was wonderful. As we were two friends travelling together, we were upgraded to an lovely apartment with 2 bedrooms, a lounge, kitchen and laundry. Views from the balconies were stunning. The private beach has natural spring water flowing into the sea, making it very pleasant to have a relaxing swim. Breakfast was beautifully prepared with different specialty dishes served each day and dinner was also excellent and well priced. Definitely worth a visit.

Room tip: All rooms have views over the bay.

This venue met all our expectations after selecting it based on other TA reviews. With its own small private beach (not sandy), infinity pool, spacious accommodation, close by the Kalkan water taxi jetty, an onsite restaurant with a good selection of dishes prepared by hosts Nora and Ziya, balcony overlooking the bay- perfect for breakfasts. This property is a great place as a base to explore surrounding areas; Xanthos, Letoon, Patara, Fethiye, Kas, Demre (Kekova, Myra and St Nikolas church), and the many small beaches dotted along this beautiful coastline, including Kaputas, all within an easy day-drive if one has a car.
