worst holiday ever food was disgusting most nights i had bread and an apple for dinner as chicken well under cooked with blood in it dried fish that was fed to the cats they were the only ones to eat it other than russians and germans which hotel is full of when we complained about the food we were told the russians would eat anything well we are not russians they do not cater for the english drinks watered down hotel catered for tour busses that stay overnight reserving tables at meal times so we could not get seats to sit down to eat hotel out in the middle of no where 45 min walk to beach beach bus is free but does not always turn up to pick you up at times stated taxi s very expensive to go anywhere in the end we hired a car to get about which was extra exspense as well as eating out so was not a cheap holiday AVOID

Room Tip: rooms at front of hotel get the sun all day

The hotel is certainly not a four star! The club rooms are exactly as described below but I complained and was moved into the hotel. There were snacks when we arrived through the day however two days into our holiday these were stopped. The all inclusive drinks were effectively non-alcoholic. The food was very repetitive and I would say was aimed at the Germans and Russians far more than English, luckily ill eat anything however there were a lot of Brits complaining.
Very few of the staff spoke English and those that did were very helpful and I must say the frontline staff- waiters, bar staff were probably one of the few positives to the hotel however most of these disappeared during our stay, end of season.none of the management spoke any English and those who did complain were effectively misunderstood.
The hotel is also in the middle of nowhere, 45mins walk from beach/closest town, meaning u have to get a bus or taxi if u wanted to go out, although they do run a 2hrly bus to the beach.
The belkon beach is a shack with a water machine and sun beds the beach next to it, also "4*", is an all inclusive bar and a restaurant, so we ended up walking down the beach to a local bar/restaurant for lunch
Our final day we had to check out at 12.00 and lost our all inclusive which meant a 10 hour sit in the lobby with no drinks or food! And no courtesy room. This was more concerning due to the fact we had paid for 12 days and had only been there 11 but they were adamant they we're right.
In the end u get what you pay for but for the extra £50 I'd stay we'll clear!

Returned last night and could not wait to order a take away again. I say again as we ordered several whilst there as the food was nowhwhere near up to scratch. Chicken uncooked. Take it back and get given more uncooked chicken. Other than chicken it was meatballs one day or fish(dry) or lasangna. Looked forward to omelette in the morning and olives and cheese in the afternoon and then eating out at night or getting pizza delivery. Caters for Russian clientelle who seem to love it. Drinks are all watered down. Drunk about twenty vodkas one night and gave up trying to even get merry. Shame, as this could be a good hotel if they could supply proper drink and food. The beach is nice but the hotel only provide orange or water down there. We were lucky that the hotels either side of our private beach had bars on their private beach and food which we paid fo willingly. Room in hotel was nice and hotel itself but friends in garden rooms which are outdated had to get moved to hotel because of rat problems they were getting. Would never reccomend to anybody. Miles from any restaurants, No night life, cabs who overcharge and staf whon dont seem to care. YOU HAVE BEEN WARNED !!!!

Room Tip: Stay in main hotel on side over reception or find another hotel preferably.

where to start? when my partner booked this holiday I came here to look at reviews and wished I hadn't was dreading going but I did know then what to expect.
First the Taxi's from Airport tip: pre book they are VERY expensive and will rip you off!
Hotel: we were given the rooms at the back not a hotel room, its a very large family room, sunken bath/Jacuzzi/shower, no plug, shower covered the floor resulting in towels being placed every time resulting in dangerous surface certainly not suitable for small children and dirty, cleaners do not clean very well not heard of mops or brushes. Nice beds slept well for the 10 nights a bit noisy at times but no problem. rooms could be amazing if done up.
excellent pools always kept clean
food same old every day, get local bus at end of drive cheap and easy every 20 mins, ignore taxi's hassling you go to Kadriye for meals and drinks you actually end up feeling tipsy think drinks are weak or watered down at hotel. Staff do not speak good English but thats ok we are in Turkey and its part of the charm.
Sun beds in my experience it was the British laying towels early and taking them up!
overall a relaxing nice holiday superb weather 10 days was enough not enough to do
contact me if you need more advice

Room Tip: The room was ok you get what you pay for hotel rooms smaller and I preffered the outer rooms was lik...

Just got back from a week at the Belkon. Stayed here five years ago and had a great time so decided to go back and see if its still as good.

And very glad we did as its even better! Hotel now has a new (3 years old) hotel block, extra pool with two flumes, restaurant and spa. We stayed in the old club room apartments like we did last time and room was great. Few niggles were no coat hangers, no shower curtain or shower hose bracket in bathroom and our aircon leaked a bit for a few days. Apart from these slight niggles which were sorted out the room was perfect.

Pools are great, lovely big size, clean, deep enough to dive, cool enough to escape heat but warm enough to swim.

Food was good, different freshly grilled meat every night to go with lots of salad, pasta, chips, veg and tonnes of bread! Eggs, cold meat, cheese and cereals in morning for breaky, lunch similar to dinner and on odd days there was pizza etc in between meals.

Drinks were fine, all free, lots of bottled water, coke, beer, wine, juice etc. All free and of good quality.

Staff were very helpful though we only found one (hey Halil!) who spoke good english so trying to get across problems or find out anything was a problem until we found him in reception :) One of our party left his camera in a taxi and Halil tracked him down and got it returned to us :) Make sure you hunt him down asap when you get there!

Don't bother booking any trips from hotel as very expensive and limited choice. Get bus or taxi to Kadrieye, only 5 mins down the road. Two tour operators in town next door to each other that will do you good deal :)

Entertainment was limited to water polo on odd days (that only really served to interupt my sun bathing and get me wet grr), some turkish dancing, table tennis and disco/kareoke at night. Not my cup of tea but Russians seem to love it! Though not very fun when its midnight and you can hear the bloody disco word for word three blocks over!

But hey, people come here for sun, a nice pool, decent free food and drink and thats what you get. Every hotel everywhere has limited sun beds, but we never failed to find one. There were people who insist on draping one towel over two sun beds even before breakfast. My advice is if theres no one on it for 20 mins, move it and lie down yourself.

Free little bus thing to beach every hour. Beach is a bit shingley still and sea is very salty and cloudy so no good for snorkelling but is very warm. Umbrellas, loungers and free juice/water at beach so no problems there. I advise getting there early for bus back to hotel though, as it really is a 'each man for himself' rush when bus does arrive, despite who's been queing the longest. Though the bus will come back and collect anyone left over. Jetski hire, banana boat, parasailing etc next to Belkon beach so plenty to do :)

If hotel just made a few more little improvements this really would be perfect and earn its 4 star rating. At the moment its a 3 star hotel, but a 4 star holiday :) I advise anyone to go and enjoy, its a great hotel and a great holiday!

Room Tip: Choose to stay in old club room apartments, much larger and far more character than the tiny box roo...
