“very nice place!”
Reviewed July 17, 2010

We just stayed 5 days in Blue sea garden hotel last week - it has a beautiful garden with a pool and the nicest people looking after us and tending to all our needs! And the old part of town, Kaleici, is incredibly charming...

Actually, we're so impressed by the friendliness of the turkish people, on our trip we met so many nice and helpful people - we'll be coming back!

The reservation we made with Booking.com for a triple room and a double room was not honored. Upon arrival we were told the triple room had been cancelled. We were offered the choice of a third room (on a different floor) or a mattress on the floor. We opted for the mattress because of the ages of our children, but the room was very small which made it impossible to get around the bed. The room itself was fairly clean, but the bathroom was not. There was toothpaste on the cup and sink. The location of the hotel is good in the old city of Kaleici, but if you want peace and quiet this is not the place for you. The hotel itself is on the busy alley near several restaurants. Our room was on the first floor right by the alley. There were people, motorcycles, and music until past midnight. We had to get up at 3:30 for an early flight so we ended up with about 3 hours sleep. The grounds of the hotel are lovely. There is a small pool surrounded by trees and a nice garden. The restaurant serves delicious food. Although we booked our room with half-board, there was yet another mixup and we had been allowed to order off the menu and were expected to pay for our dinners. To their credit they chose to overlooked this and didn't charge extra. The best thing about the hotel is the grounds. A room off the street might have made all the difference in our experience, despite their casual cancellation of our booked room.

We enjoyed our stay at the Blue Sea Garden, and felt it was exactly as described, an Ottoman house which has been restored. The proprietor and his staff were delightful, trying very hard to make the guests comfortable. He helped us with the logistics of getting around Antalya, and for our extra day in Antalya, he helped us to take an individual excursion to nearby Termessos, the site of some pristine Roman ruins. He even arranged transportation there, at a price that we considered to be very fair.

The room was small but sufficient and pleasant and quite comfortable. The garden was lovely, and a great place to take the tasty breakfasts and dinners that were served. In the evenings, there were live musicians adding to the ambiance.

We were happy to stay there as part of our trip to Antalya.

beautiful spot. located perfectly obove the sea, in the old city (kaeici). Very nice , friendly and helpful hosts. They gave us alot of tips for the rest of our stay in turkey (have very good english). also have cars for rent and shuttels to and from the airport. all in good shape and for a very good price.
in the Blue Sea Garden what you get there is more than what you pay!!

This one of the worst values for the money when it comes to hotels I stayed while in Turkey one month. While the location was beautiful that's where the beauty stops. The staff seemed very inexperienced and unhelpful. If you did not buy a tour you did not exist.

Hot water was rare and at most it was only lukewarm; my last day it was cold. The breakfast is not buffet and small portions. The noise level outside my room high was loud conversations by the owners and annoying music which continued well into the night. My room was cleaned only once during my 3 night stay. Be careful what you think is a welcome drink gets put on your room bill.

There are MANY options for lodging here in Antalya. It seems my agent choose poorly. I would never stay here again or recommend anyone else to.

Singles, Couples, a Family or Group - this hotel offers the best value in the old pedestrianed town of Kaleici. A centrally situated, renovated Ottoman house, the hotel is comfortable with clean simple rooms, Good food and with the "Genuine Friendlieness" of Yelmaz, his Wife and their staff your enjoyment is assured!

I've been in Antalya for a month, and have stayed at 3 different places in Kaleici, and this is far and away the best value for your money. They have a really lovely and big garden with sea views at the back, and a nice swimmıng pool, with lots of lounge chairs and umbrellas (as opposed to being surrounded by people having lunch at dining tables, which is what happens at every other hotel in the area), and the whole atmosphere is just really pleasant and relaxed. It's not a Sheraton, but the rooms are spacious enough, they're clean, the air conditioners work well and are individually controlled, there are wardrobes for your clothes, dressing tables/desks with mirrors, the beds are comfortable, and there's always hot water in the showers. I've seen all the rooms at this point, and there's a nice range of choices -- from a 3-bed shared "dorm room" for those on a really tight budget to very nice twin & double rooms for 2 people to "family suites" with adjoining rooms that have separate entrances. In my opinion, for the money, all of them are really nice. (And they actually look exactly like the pictures on the hotel's website...) The manager, Yılmaz, couldn't be nicer and wants nothing more than for his guests to be happy and enjoy their holıdays. The food is delicious and generally a bit cheaper than elsewhere in Kaleici, and the beer (which is definitely cheaper) is cold! There's a computer that guests can use for free, and the free wireless service is reliable, so you can sit in the garden and work on your laptop; they'll even run an extension cord to one of their outdoor outlets so you don't drain your battery! Unless you're looking for some sort of luxurlous accommodation, you really can't ask for more.
