We travelled to this hotel with our children 3 & 6 years old they absolutely loved it and so did we. Food quality & quantity excellent - something for everyone. The hotel is very grand and spotlessly clean - they obviously take a lot of pride in keeping it clean. Entertainment ok - the entertainment team work hard. Kids club good but not very secure. Pools loveley but cold. Kids pool brilliant for the littke ones & shaded when it gets too hot. Cannot fault this hotel would definitely reccomend to friends & would go back if the prices go down a little - far more expensive next year

Have stayed at this hotel before and always enjoyed the holiday, this year was a different matter all together, the staff were only really interested in the German guests.
The rooms were well cleaned, but could now do with updating.
The food was good, for adults, but the kids food was nearly all the same, for every meal.
The location to the airport is quite good, about 20-25 minutes away.
The staff in reception were friendly and checking in and out of the hotel was easy enough, the bar staff and waiters and waitresses were pleasant and always asking if you needed another drink.
The only down side was the pushy and rude german guests, who thought the British were ignorant and stupid, but I would maybe go back to this hotel in a year or twos time.

We stayed at the Delphin palace in April 2010 when all the problems with the volcano happened we had already stayed a week at the Concorde but due to them wanting a stupid amount of money we moved, the delphin is an amazing hotel and does exactly what all the other great reviews on here say we had a fantastic time even though it was an unexpected stay will def book this hotel again.

I'm writing this as a novice to Turkish all-inclusives. We've had a lot of great holidays this year so maybe I'm just spoiled but I was pretty disappointed by the Delphin Palace. We went during the October half-term with our 4 year old and 2 year old plus another family. We arrived late at night and were met at reception by friendly staff and a tray of welcome drinks. Unfortunately there weren't enough drinks to go round so some of our coach party missed out and no more were forthcoming.

We booked a family suite. I thought this was pretty badly designed; the front door, the balcony, the wardrobe and the ensuite were all in the children's room while the tiny adults room was tucked away at the back of the 'suite'. We quickly decided we'd take the kids room so my husband and I spent the week in single beds while the kids got the double! On our first night we put our kids straight to bed and decided to order room service for ourselves. I couldn't find a menu in the room so I called the room service number to ask for one and got 'hamburger, cheeseburger, pizza or sandwich' shouted down the phone as a response. We ordered two cheeseburgers and 20 minutes later the most revolting burgers I've ever seen arrived...you wouldn't expect such awful food to be served by the NHS let alone a 5 star hotel. The beds were uncomfortable, there was only one lumpy pillow per bed provided and there was considerable noise from the road outside. In the morning to my absolute horror we found a piece of plastic sheeting in the cot next to our sleeping 2 year old that must have worked its way out from the bedclothes. A younger child could easily have suffocated. We complained to guest relations the following morning who took our room number but we got no response.

I think the Delphin must have been running at full capacity during our stay; you had to fight to get in the lifts, fight for a table in the restaurant, fight for sunbeds etc.

The restaurant was like a cattle market; absolutely everything is self-service at breakfast and it's a battle to get a cup of tea, a glass of juice, a piece of bread etc... Not fun. The food at lunch & dinner was average and repetitive. Some of the waiting staff were excellent, some were downright surly. One night there were no tables at dinner, we asked two members of staff to help us both of whom shrugged and wandered off and we ended up having to call for a manager to help us get a table.

The A La Carte restaurants were better, not gourmet by any stretch of the imagination but you at least had table service and didn't have to queue for anything. Booking them was a nightmare - when we checked in we were told to phone the automated booking system from 9am to book a table for the following day. I did this at 9:45 on our first day but all the restaurants were booked so I figured I just needed to call earlier in future. The next day I phoned at 9am on the dot but once again all the restaurants were booked at all times. I went down to Guest Relations and was told that the automated system was actually broken and had been for some time....???

The outdoor pools were freezing during our stay, even the children's pool was unheated. For all the hundreds of people sitting round the pools, there was tellingly only ever a handful of brave teenagers in them. Our toddler burst into tears when we put him in the kids pool it was so cold. The indoor pools were heated and that was where we ended up spending most of our time - not good for our hoped-for tans! The sea was warmer and we had one very enjoyable day on the beach but we had to get down there at 8am to get beds.

The funfair was decidedly shabby and the little train ride actually derailed while we were on it which made me wonder about the safety of the other rides. The kids club staff were lovely and our 4 year old spent quite a bit of time there. Some of the activities run by the kids' club are chargeable - we paid 10 Euro for a banana boat ride and 15 Euro for T-shirt painting during our stay. The evening mini disco complete with candy floss and popcorn was a big hit with our kids.

I did use the spa and found it very amateurish. When I arrived for my massage I was met by a burly bloke who just stuck his hand out and said 'money'! I took our 4 year old and a friend's 12 year old daughter for a 'kids chocolate massage' which they enjoyed immensely but was pricey at 45 Euro each. The therapists themselves were all delightful but the reception staff were pushy - constantly trying to sell you more treatments and packages.

I'm shocked the Delphin has a 5 star rating - I'd say it was more high 3 / low 4 star. We definitely won't be rebooking the Delphin and I doubt we'll come to this part of Turkey again. All in all, a very average holiday and the least enjoyable we've been on for years :0( We were glad to get home.

We stayed at the DELPHIN PALACE from 16th october till - 23 october. we went with 10 persons (6 adults and 4 children below 5 years) to celebrate the 40th weddingday of our parents.

When we arrived by the hotel, after a 20 minutes ride from the airport, it looked amazing. Unfortunatley our booked familyroom was överbooked" but we were offered to stay in the suite, with seaside, and could stay there for the whole week. And we were astonished by seeing this room, it looked like a ballroom. The next we had the oppurtunity to see the family room but choosed to stay in the suite (the family room was also very good but didn't have a seaview).

The people who are working here are vervy very friendly. They are doing everything to enjoy the stay as much as possible. It gave us a very welcome feeling, they very good with the kids. Food was available 24/7 and you have room service from 12 midnight which is free of charge for food and drinks. The hotels has a big variety of diffrerent food everyday. Besides that there ar,e 3 times a week, different themes during dinner: italian, love night, turkish night . At these night they will produce the food that compares to the theme and they will cook it for while you are waiting. There is a also mini bar in your room which is restocked daily free of charge. Hairdryers are in the bathroom for you to use and toiletrys, the hotel was immaculate very clean! rooms are cleaned every day.

The pools are great. there is a pool to suit everyone and water slides and they are kept very clean. Drinks and snacks are available pool side all day. For the children there is a mini club close to the waterslides and they can be amused the whole day (closes after the mini disco at 8.00). The children loved this miniclub and we practically didn't see them the whole week and were very dissapointed when we had to leave home. You acn also use the private beach by the hotel and also ther are beds available and there is a bar for drinks and little snacks

After the mini club was stopped they started the show foor the adults. We have never seen better entertainment in any hotel we stayed. They have a ballroom dancing show, a turkish nigth with show, a russian state circus etcetera, etcetera.

And ther is more but you have to go there before you can believe it. We are already looking for next year to go again to this lovely and beautifull Hotel.

Thanx for a amazing week.
