“Best holiday I have ever been on!”
Reviewed August 20, 2013

Delphin palace is one of the best holidays I have ever been on, when I read the reviews saying that it is bad or could do with improvements they couldn't be anymore wrong. Once you have been to this fantastic resort you will compare your next holidays to it and realise you can't beat it.
Food: the food is excellent, very tasty and there is plenty to chose from, the specialised restaurants such as Chinese and Turkish were amazing, and could not be faulted.
Entertainment: the animation team are so friendly, they are a great laugh and don't pressure you to join in, they are great with kids and the kids love them, as does everyone. The slides are good, great pools, even an adult only pool if you want peace:) kids club is amazing, and the safety is amazing.
Rooms: the rooms are clean, and you get a mini fridge with nice snacks and drinks that gets filled everyday to full.
Service: the staff are friendly and they do their best to keep you happy, also they have some banter with you, so it's good when you get along with them, so you get even better service;)
The service around the pool is amazing at any time in the day, for example the waiters will check your drinks and refill without you even asking, they bring carts of food every hour and there is never a time of day where there is no food. It is endless:)
It can not be faulted at all. If you want a relaxing holiday, just book it, you won't regret it. Like I said ignore them bad reviews because I disagree strongly with them! It really is the best holiday I have ever been on, and I can't find a better hotel anywhere! All ages will like this place! AMAZING

We spent a beautiful holiday in this hotel with our daughter. It’s a perfect place for families, and it’s definitely how the travel agency described it.
We were afraid at first that we only saw pictures with the hotel in a better condition ( from the opening), but we were wrong. The rooms were just like on the site, the food variation was perfect and the a la carte was a beautiful experience too.
One thing I discovered and loved immediately, was that in the main restaurant was a play ground. It come at handy if we wanted to spend some time on the restaurant terrace after dinner, because our baby could play. Actually she played all the time, including when she ate.
The children pool was very well cleaned, and it didn’t give you the feeling that you have to watch the kid all day long. It was safety enough and there were not slippery floors.
Opposite to others hotels I visited in Turkey, in this one you didn’t have to tip the maid all the time to clean the room well, or change the towels. You tip them only if you want to, but they do their job anyway. And it was a pleasant thing to see.
In the end , we got a excellent experience and a very good value for our money. We will definitely come back to this one in the future.

We stayed at the Delphin Palace Hotel for 10 nights arriving on 29th Jul'13. I chose it for me and my partner as our first holiday away on our own without our Daughter who stayed at home. It was a scouting mission on Lara Beach as we had heard some good reviews but it was very difficult to make a choice as most hotels looked pretty good. Around Dec'12 the Delphin Palace was no.1 on Trip Advisor and this swayed my decision. During early 2013 there were a few negative reviews which gave me some concern, but these were soon dispelled once we arrived.
The hotel had a well balanced mixture of nationalities and when we were there it was approx. 30% UK, 30% German, 10% Russian and 30% others. Why some people complain about other nationalities is beyond me, you're abroad and we're all different, we experienced no problems other than people diving into the lifts before you had exited (but that was because the doors shut too quickly).
The food is absolutely first class with an abundance of choice. The Hotel is kept clinically clean and seems very well managed. We loved the relax pool, this was at the side of the hotel and was partially shaded until about 11:30am. It had its own drinks bar, cabanas, cake and juice counter, morning coffee bar, etc. The pool was as large as a main pool in many hotels and was policed by the management to ensure no under 14's or boisterous behaviour....it was a true relax pool and the management have to be commended for their strict policy on this.
The Sun-bed policy was no reservation before 08:30am and the towel 'police' would remove your belongings if you weren't sitting on your bed before this time. This does work but I have to say there were plenty of beds to go around anyway.
Gym was very good but a bit hot, didn't use the Spa but looked OK.
The beach is quite nice and we enjoyed a walk down past the other hotels. It can be a bit shingly in places but was nice to cool off in 45 degree heat....weather was superb!
Service was generally very good, sometimes on an evening it could be a bit hit and miss but my advice would be to leave a small tip as it makes a huge difference to your service. I know this is a contentious point but I tipped a total of 30 Euro's and it was worth every penny (sorry cent).
We visited the Delphin Imperial and this is an impressive looking place but the pool areas looked very crowded and the relax pool area was poor in comparison to the Delphin Palace in our opinion. They seem to market this as the upgrade to the Palace but once you get over the WOW factor I'm not so sure.
Evening entertainment was nothing too special but wasn't awful by any means. There are a growing number of 'Premium Malls' outside the Hotel which offer some alternative evening activity albeit there are very few people who seem to shop there!
We will definitely look to return next year with our daughter and her partner and would recommend this Hotel; as far as the negative reviews go 'you pays your money and you takes your chances'....glad we took the chance!

Room Tip: Sea view rooms are excellent

we travelled as a group of three families, two of which had the standard double which is a little on the small side for a family of four, having one double, one single and one chaise long for a 5 year old. We requested to change the chair for a bed which took two days to materialise, because although we contacted reception it was only when we approached the ops manager that something was finally done. Had we been prepared to pay an extra £700 for the week we could have had the 2 bed family room. The other problem we had was that we arrived in the evening about 8:30pm and by the time we checked in we were too late to go for dinner. We enquired with reception after travelling sine midday that we needed to feed our children, but they offered us no option other that to pay for room service or eat out of the hotel. I was not impressed. I have been to 3* hotels which have made a provision to provide food on late arrival.

Otherwise the rest of the holiday was faultless, the hotel is amazing, the pools and water slides really great, the kids loved the night fair with bumper cars, and the staff were really attentive. Relaxing by the pool there was also a waiter on roller skates to get any drinks you would like.

Also we were told on booking that children wouldn't be allowing in any of the ala carte restaurants, but to our pleasant surprise we were able to dine in the Italian, Turkish and Chinese. The food in both the buffet restaurant and ala cartes were all of a very good standard. The waiter in the Italian restaurant was particularly good keeping our children amused with magic tricks.

I would definitely recommend this hotel, barring a few hiccups, and if you can afford it, the 2 bed family room.

Room Tip: Families who want space should opt for the 2 bed family room, however it will cost you! Also if you...

This was our 3rd visit to the Delphin Palace and yet again everything has been absolutely great. We upgraded to a junior suite with a sea and pool view which was well worth the extra. Great choice of food available all day which will keep the fussiest of eaters pleased! Staff were as helpful as ever. It was lovely being remembered by the staff and we would recommend staying here however big or small your family are!

We booked this hotel by mistake having originally enquiried about the Delphin Imperial bit after our initial panic we soon realised that fate had taken its course! There were 10 of us including children aged 4- 16 and I have to say, a fussy family. After the initial shock of no bacon or sausage at breakfast ( which you would expect ) we had THE best family holiday we have ever had ! Main reasons 1) you cannot reserve sunbeds before 8.30 - great, no 5am starts to find ten together ! 2) always ate together at every meal with NO problems - the waiters cannot do enough. 3) amazing gala night and beach party 4) no over crowding 5) cleaniness throughout .... I could go on, only minor irritation was room initially seemed small for 2adults and two teenage girls but amazing how much space you can find when you look properly. I've seen comments about the European guests but to be honest the only rudeness we encountered was a silly southerner who thought we were "having a laugh" when we needed 10 seats for our family at the family show and who screamed at our 9 year old daughter who dared to ask us to go to bed in the break of a family show ( to the dark haired lady with the huge mouth - you know who you are tut tut ). In summary we are a hard bunch to please but the Delphin palace did just that and more.
The children cried when we left and we cannot wait to book our next visit. Thank you so much to all of the staff and we will see you next year !!!

Have just returned from our 3rd visit to the Delphin Palace, myself, husband and 2 children stayed here 30/7/13 for 11 days and everything was fantastic.
We had a room overlooking relax pool, (side sea view) . Rooms are perfectly adequate seeing as you only sleep and shower there, mini bar restocked daily and safe both free. I had emailed hotel before our visit to request mattress toppers for beds, the beds are very hard, on arrival our request was granted, so thank you Delphin.
Every meal we had was excellent, something for everyone and very tasty, we never used the A la Carts so can't comment on these. The service we received at all meal times was first class, and a drink in the Lobby is always a place to chill and people watch!
The nice thing about this hotel is the ease of getting sun beds in the morning, no need to get up mega early, and yes, funny watching the 'sunbed police' remove unattended towels before 8.30am. Great idea!!
The swimming pools are fantastic and well spread out, the water slides a big hit with the kids.
Beach also is lovely and often with a sea breeze, which helps in the 45 deg heat.
The only gripe we had this time was we thought the evening shows in the ampitheatre were not as good as previous years, we only watched 4 shows as some didn't even appeal to us but while watching lots of people were getting up and leaving, so obviously they felt the same.
We visited Delphin Imperial this time, we have seen it being built over the last 2 years, you can visit 4 til 5 pm and were shown around on a guided tour by their guest relation, it has definitely got the wow factor when you enter with all the bling and sparkle, but personally we prefer the feel of the Palace.
Also, like to mention the team at the watersports centre on the beach, they were all brilliant, we used them for jet skis, parasailing and their speed boat trip to the waterfalls and were very friendly and great with the children. Thank you so much for some great memories and DVDs of it all.. Would recommend them but just take some extra euros as quite expensive but worth it.
All in all, Delphin Palace is superb and hope one day to return for our 4th visit, if you like a chilled, relaxed atmosphere you will not be disappointed,

Room Tip: Rooms overlooking relax pool are quieter as away from entertainment.
