“The best holiday i've ever had!!!”
Reviewed April 26, 2013

Just flown back from Antalya this morning. Spent a week in the Titanic hotel for mine and my wifes 10th wedding anniversary this hotel deserves more than 5 stars it was spotless from floor to ceiling, the food was excellent, Lamb, chicken or fish every sitting loads of fresh salad and just for the brits that wont try anything else yes theres chips! The rooms were clean large in size with a balcony. We were on the 3rd floor facing the hotel next door, sat on the balcony you got the sun for a good 4 hrs every day with a stunning view of the beach area. The staff were excellent couldnt do enough for us, a huge thanks goes out to our maid for room 1354 she worked her socks off allways with a huge smile on her face. She is a credit to the hotel . 5 stars not enough!!!

Room Tip: Pool side better if you can, a lot of activity from deliveries in next doors hotel cant hear it unle...

We are still here and to be honest I'm not that impressed. To start the whole hotel is full of Germans and they are so rude and very much catered to. The food, the language and the tiny bit of entertainment was all for the Germans nothing in English. Not the hotels fault but now the bits that are. We have paid for a week all inclusive but EVERYTHING is shut. You can't get anything to eat outside of breakfast lunch and dinner which is a right pain in the day. All the food is the same the afternoon lunch is the same as the evening meal. So i would say afternoon just have salad, night have pasta afternoon have chicken night have fish cause its all the same.Having to get kids dry and dressed to go for lunch because there are no snack bars open is not good. There is a 'cafe' which you can get horrible French/ German cakes but that's it. Entertainment is none existstant nothing for the kids all day or on the night, football volleyball and darts but only for the adults and on a night there was a opra singer and then one night bingo in German. No entertainment team doing pool games or playing with the kids no music around the pool. When speaking to them we were told its full of old people so we don't do anything.
The lobby and bar is great looks the part but the rooms are another story and the outside. we had a family room it has a smashed bedside table, the titanic wall is half ripped off and the wood floor
was coming up. The tvs in the bedroom only have 1 english channel which is the news all the kids cartoons on CN and boomarang are in german. On the plus it had a great view of the pools and was good having two bedrooms and the bathroom was great having a bath with a shower in it plus a separate toilet and a separate walk in shower which was massive. We saw the room in the Main building and it was ok for a couple but terrible for a family. It was a tiny room with a double bed and they just put camp beds next to the double bed for the kids. So once they are in you can't swing a cat and the bathroom is small no walk in shower separate toilet.
There are loads of shops about 5 minutes from the hotel and a Burger King which is good but been turkey they will pester you to go into the shops and the prices are very high even when trying to haggle. A member of staff told me that it is a lot more expensive than in Antalya centre oh and everything is priced in euros. There are a few shops on site but they are very very expensive a foam water gun was 15 euros and the same price for a pair of swimming goggles. Don't waste space in your case for towels you get them here.
The beach is all pebbles and it was too windy to walk along it but there is a bar which is very basic not what you would expect from a 5* hotel.
Bought Internet 3 euro and hour 15 euros fr 3 days 25 euros for a week would expect for a 5* hotel it would be included but its not. And it only works in the bar or reception.

The pools are very good all are the same depth 1.4m apart from the children's pirate boat pool which is very shallow. Not sure about the Olympic pool as never went to it. Loads of sun beds but by 11am in April there were all taken by all the pools so think in summer you would have to get up early.

What can I say nice hotel for a 3-4* half board hotel max but nowhere near a 5* all inclusive. I would only come back in June / July when everything is up and running, kids have something to do and if it was a cheap late deal.

Room Tip: FAMILY ROOM ONLY: we saw the rooms in the main building and they are tiny. No bedroom for the kids j...

We have just returned from a week at this hotel a family of 4, the weather was great but most of things were closed, hotel lobby was really smart and staff were very helpful they were the good points here are the bad...the hotel was full of German and Russians and a few French and they were so damn rude, waiting for a lift they would push in, waiting for food they would push in, if you let them in front of you they wouldn't say thanks just obnoxious rude people. When you pay for a 5 star hotel you should not pay for wifi, it was rubbish it only worked in the lobby £20 for a week total rip off !, also there was nothing for kiddies after 9:30pm, they have a kiddies disco every night but its not got any recent chart hits what the kids want it plays...jive bunny and boney m !! My kids didn't have a clue they wanted rihanna or 1d.
Overall this is a hotel not a british 5 star, it's more like a decent Hilton in the uk, it needs to sort out its entertainment as they is nothing for under 16's after 9:30pm, get sky sports, and offer free wifi !

Dear ilovebread,
Thank you for taking your valuable time to share with us your experiences during your recent visit to our hotel. I regret to read that everything was not to your liking and that you endured some challenges with other hotel guests that caused your stay to be less than pleasant. However I would like to emphasize that the hotel is only responsible for the services and not the behaviour of other hotel guests. The Mini Club is having a daily changing programme and I'm sorry to hear that your kids didn't liked the programme we offered. I hope that your future trips to Antalya will find you back in our hotel. I am confident that we can provide you with a flawless experience and chance your perception of our hotel in your mind.

great accommadation in this hotel but some things not right we arrived at the begginning of april and the outside of hotel was mostly shut this included some of the snack bars apparently ,if you wanted food in daytime out of mealtimes only option was room- service for which you had to pay ,seeing as you have bought all inclusive holiday not great.
the dining room could get very busy at times best to avoid rush times as getting table was a matter of watching for someone to finish and jumping in as soon as they stood up not great system for a 5 star hotel should be a maitre de to allocate tables instead of pot luck.
some staff at hotel were great , but some were surly and unhelpful.
hotel caters mostly for germans and russians ,so food was slanted to dishes ot those regions, not really my choice ,struggled some meals to find something to eat, although the quality of the desserts was outstanding.
i purchased wi fi for 7 seven days at cost of 25 euros ,was very hit and miss affair very dissappointing and waste of money really.
entertainment was very boring karaoke or bingo was normal choice, with dancing sometimes maybe better in season large venue outdoors for shows but closed.
shoppimg in turkey was a nightmare darent even look in shop window with out being assailed by salesman insisting on you buying something.
overall spanish holidays beat this place would only give it 3 stars mainly for dining room procedure
location was miles from anywhere only shops 1km away and all tourist goods

Dear brianw494,

Thanks for choosing to stay with us at Titanic Beach Lara Hotel. I appreciate your highlighting the different aspects of your experience.
Regarding our services I would like to mention that we have diffenet concepts during summer and winter. The month of April is still a pre-season where we are getting ready to open the outdoor facilities such as bars & restaurants, entrtainment areas. As of the 1st of May all facilities are at your service. Until then we are limited to the indoor restaurants and bars. May is the most beautiful month where you can enjoy the hotel and its services entirely.
As for the service, I am truly sorry that we didn’t connect on that level. The team working at Titanic Beach Lara Hotel truly loves what they do. Each employee has the drive and desire to ensure that you feel cared for during your visit. Sometimes it is a challenge for all of us to cater the needs of more than 1200 customers at the same time. I am sorry of you were disturbed by other guests during this stay.

If you have any specific feedback on how you feel we could have improved, I would be happy to discuss it with you.

Thanks again for visiting us, and taking the time to provide your feedback.

Kind regards,

Finally an affordable Easter break with sun to be found in the Antalya area of Turkey. Stayed at the Titanic Hotel on Lara Beach. Designed to resemble the back half of a cruise ship the decoration and nautical flavour works really well. The facilities are kept spotless and the pools complex is most impressive. 4 tennis courts are free to use (hire charges for balls and rackets, lights at night.)

Inside there is some ten pin bowling lanes and pool tables (charged), an indoor poool, and associated treatments some of which are charged.

On the beach the hotel has about 500 of its own quality recliners, which you can move in or out of the sun awning, plus in season there is a jetty and other sun platforms.

The beach itself is nothing special but Ok to make a few sandcastles and to promenade along.

The rooms are well appointed and have individual air conditioning controls (ambient air only during our Easter stay) but with the lights off you can open the balcony windows drawing the nets across to let cooler air in if needed. There is a free mini bar topped up daily and bath towels are changed daily. The security box is included and no deposits are needed for pool towels.

The buffet style food is pretty much all Turkish but always quality and served hot and fresh. Athough the outside catering was not open yet you could tell it was going to be a big bonus factor. 2 bars poolside and by the sea

The all inclusive drinks were fine all the usual spirits there with coca cola branded soft drinks and some cocktails.

There is a patisserie on site serving drinks, sandwiches and cakes all inclusive till midnight, plus a small midnight buffet.

Any gripes, just the one and that is the serving of drinks by restaurant staff. It's a slow process and means that crockery and tables are not cleared leaving people wandering around some with plates of food and no table to sit at as the staff cannot do serve drinks and clean. It doesnt work and this is in the off sesason of April though the snack bars will be open in season and hopefuily take some pressure off the restaurant . The hotel needs to gear up to allow us to serve ourselves drinks at lunch and dinner and allow the staff to clear and reset tables.

Over six years my family have been lucky enough to take a couple of holidays each year in 4-5 star hotels in beautiful places, yet there is only one hotel we've ever been to more and once
Last year we made our 3rd visit to titanic, and i kind of expect to be booking next summer too.
I would recommend this hotel to people looking for a destination to relax and enjoy that you don't have to leave during your entire stay and its absolutely right if travelling with secondary school/college age family where the ever present security and safe facilities allow you to give them some freedom and not panic every minute they're out of sight.
For us the secret of the titanic is that its got a bit of everything for everyone yet above all it feels safe and not pretentious whilst still being that bit of luxury you want and expect from this type of holiday
We've only ever been to this hotel in august so its always been busy and we've never had language problems which we havent been able to get round with a good humoured smile and a few attempts at other explanations.
Yes the shop on site is expensive - but if you want crisps chocolate or cigarettes it will take you a few minutes to vist the garage next to the chemist across the road, where all those are available at more sensible prices
Within the hotel the rooms, bars, lounges and restaurants are well appointed clean and comfortable with everything you need & more
The spa & indoor pool has a sauna, steam room and shock pool alongside jacuzzis all available foc
The beach cabanas are very relaxing - we found it worth it for a day
Can't fault the staff or quality of animation & entertainment - the 16 year old spent two weeks last year floating round on a lilo, stopping to play the pool games each lunchtime followed buy afternoon football & beach volleyball, and wandering down to the beach and back whilst escaping from the midday heat to play pool or the jacuzzis and indoor pool with evenings in the outdoor nightclub for whatever party night was on. As mentioned in other reviews the four seasons party with its rain, foam wind and light machines and white party where the guest are invited to go along in white are both worth a look
The buffet restaurant has a good range of food - i can understand if you have a bit of everything each night it may seem a bit samey at the end of two weeks but with a choice of pastas and sauces, grilled and roast poultry and red meats, pide selection, seafood & fish, turkish options and chinese options along with lots of choice of carb and salads and a few cooked veg, it really is your choice if you try everything in one go, or have something different on different days. We've also enjoyed the speciality restaurants and day restaurants, and of course a cheese toastie at the midnight snack bar has its place too!
So for us the titanic works for a hotel based holiday for pure relaxation and fun and letting go of the stress of work and home. You can see more of turkey by travelling away from lara &
this location gives you lots of choice for day trips
Lara is a purpose based tourist resort of big expensive hotels & its good at being just that.
If you need a few souveniours or gifts you could do worse than try the road opposite the hotel entrance - again head for the chemist go past it turn right for strip front shops and air conditioned arcades of tourist shops - where you can haggle to your hearts content
( or grab a burger @ burger king if required)
if your heading for the titanic this summer - have a pina colada on the pier for me one evening!

Stayed at this hotel last year and wow it was amazing, what you see is what you get, the food all inclusive was amazing a huge mound of deserts and drinks were bliss. The entertainment was a especially good with shows and pier party's which was probably the highlight of the trip. Shisha on the resort grounds was excellent. Downfall there was really nothing to do around the resort and in August it was boiling hot the sand burnt so pack some really good sunblock.
