“Beautiful Hotel - Friendly Staff”
Reviewed November 6, 2012

I thought i was about time I wrote my review on this hotel following our stay in early October 2012.

We had previously visited Lara Beach, so we were more or less prepared for the standard of hotel the Titanic would be, and we were not disappointed in the slightest. The trip was our honeymoon, and upon arrival were were made very welcome and the hotel had laid on champagne and flowers in the room, as well as a nice special bed cover (very nice touch)

Everything about the hotel was spotless with staff working constantly to ensure communal areas were clean. The decor of the hotel, despite being themed, was not tacky in any way.

The pool areas were fantastic with plenty of sunbeds to cater for all the hotel guests. The only downside to the pool areas was just how slippery the floors got when wet. all the pool areas were floored in a white marble and they were like ice rinks when any puddles formed!

The main dining room was nice (although during busy times it was a little difficult to get a table) The food was top notch with plenty of choice to keep even the fussiest of eaters happy! As we travelled with our 3 yr old son, we did not try out the a la carte dining areas (he just wont sit still long enough lol) You did have to pay for these though, but it was only 10 euro per adult so pretty reasonable if you wanted a change!

The enterainment area was a lovely seated auditorium area outside and the show we saw were better than the usual standard you get! one night the show was moved from this area to the main open area near the bar and it made a nice change!

While i am talking about the bars, i suppose i should mention the drinks. the beer was lovely. not the usual watered down stuff you get when all inclusive. there was no "2 drinks per person rule" so made it nice to go and get a round in! (they even provided trays.. as if i didnt have enough to carry with the hand ful of drinks!!!!) There was waitress service at the bar by the dining roon and the bar, with freindly staff providing a top notch service.

I do have to say that as a Brit in this hotel, you are out numbered somewhat by the German, Dutch and Turkish guests. So if you are the sort of person who doesnt want multi cultural guests, then, this, and most turkish hotels will not be for you. Dont get me wrong, i did get wound up by the total disregard for "queueing" but once you get over it and join in the pushing in, you soon feel at home lol...

All in all, this was a great hotel and we hope to return next year!

Room Tip: we were in 1736 and i had no complaints at all! nice views. Quiet at night and a 2nd air con unit in...

Arrived 28/10/2012. 1st day spot on everything we were looking forward to. Day 2 water slides shut, they were shut 3 out of the 7 days we were there. Then although both tour operator and the hotel map given to us on arrival claimed all the outdoor bars, eating places were opened to 31/10 all the eating places closed prior to this without any notification, or notices, very disappointed kids at 4:30 when we went to get them ice cream, so we had to take them to the shops and buy some.
This made the main restaurant very busy, and large area's were reserved (something we were told was not done when we tried to get somewhere for 13 or us to eat) making it even more difficult. The most popular pool, outdoor heated, was closed to general guest 1 day for a diving comp. The al la carte restaurants, well we booked 3, but due to lack of numbers booked (there is a cover charge) this actually became 3 different meals all served in the same restaurant, so much for a change of scene.
Meals were therefore only avail at restricted times, including ice cream, the vanilla ran out 3 days before left and was not replenished.
We could not get seats in the bar, so sat in the foyer area, to be told there is no waiter service at these table - 5*???
The moral of this story - Don't go the end of October

We have been to this hotel twice and have already booked to go back next year. The whole place is spotless. You have to book early to get the dates you want. That tells you something. The rooms, the food, the pools are all excellent. I have never watched the entertainment in hotels until I went to the titanic. It's brill. There is so many things to do during the day and no rush for the sun beds. The kids club is amazing and the staff are very friendly.the mini bar in the room is free and is restocked every day. I could go on and on . You need to see it for yourself. Last year we were upgraded. I thought I'd won the lottery. It had the wow factor.

Room Tip: Ask for a pool view

good points, hotel itself wow factor ,and clean ,staff were very good
food on the whole was good did have a few off days where outer restaurants were shut down so everyone was concentrated in the main restaurant so long queue's resulting in cold food and one day the meat was tough and dry
ice cream was very hit and miss
as we paid top prices (school half term)expected all facility's to be still opened but all the outer restaurants were closed Monday, two drinks bars were open but not as long as normal catching a lot of people out queuing when the waiter had disappeared seconds earlier in one case. in another the pizza bar did not even open ,ice creams were meant to be served from here as well so a few disappointed kids
found the beds to be too hard in a family of thirteen none of us liked the beds i resorted to using the pullout sofa bed as a few others did where possible
would have liked tea/coffee facilities in the room
finding milk for tea was a problem later in the day. breakfast was ok as you used the milk for cereal

After reading some what good, and not so good critics I was a little apprehensive on my arrival, fear not my travellers, we were on a quick transfer from the Hotel to our resort within 30 mins, although we were very tired arriving about 3.30 in the morning, we were welcomed by a very nice reception lad who offered us a bite to eat which we declined as we were so tired, our concierge then took all our suitcases straight to our room, we were not disappointed, we had a lovely room overlooking the main road which was fine as we still had a respective view.

The pool areas esp underneath the titanic hotel the one shaped like a love heart is only for the brave, stick your toe in and you will freeze, once you've jumped in all was good as long as you keep moving, a lovely area, but be warned you will slip regardless of wearing flip flops or bare feet, we slipped a few times without alcohol lol, the Olympic pool is lovely and warm, we have just arrived from this hotel it was nice to swim in when the sun was going down and the temp was dipping slightly, their is a few pools to choose from so you will not be be spoilt for choice.

We booked the cabana down by the sea, it's very romantic and overlooks the sea, you will pay £50 for the day we had 4 adults and 2 children the service is 5* and worth every penny, you will be fed and watered all day with cold frozen towels to cool you down, the staff are so friendly and very accommodating.

Beaches are nice, the views are amazing, esp when you are on the end of the pier where you can lie on floopy poufee's you can see all the other wonderful hotels, the sand is a bit coarse and a bit sore on bare feet, wear suitable footwear, you will get all towels luxury beds and curtains in your cabana.

Weather as you are all dying to know, the week before we arrived they had 5 days of rain ;-( we arrived after the rain and got temps of 31 degrees and 21 at night, we got 3 hours of rain and 1 cloudy day, overall we had great weather, the weather is very changeable but still remains warmish, would recommend a cardigan or jumper for eve wear as it does feel cool at night.

Location is very good, be warned if you walk out the hotel and try to get back in they will stop you and ask you for some ID that you are staying in this hotel, we gave our room no" and surnames which was fine.

The shops within the hotel are lovely be warned it's all fake you need to haggle to get a bargain if you like the price then pay, if not go across the road to the shopping malls you will get a better deal a fraction of the price.

This hotel really look after there guests nothing was too much trouble we met a few nice waiters and bar staff who were very pleasant and spoke good English.

Overall we loved this hotel, entertainment was second to none, my only critic is if you go late Oct they will close a few bars and entertainment starts to slow down, would I go again yes, and cannot wait for my next trip to Antalya...

Room Tip: The main suites are on the top floor if you like a view then book these rooms, main road side of the...

My family and I are just back from a great week in the Titanic. Read some good - and bad - reviews beforehand and were a little concerned about what we would find as we wouldn't normally go to such a large all-inclusive hotel. Our worries were unfounded as the hotel ticked all our boxes. It was scrupulously clean inside and out, the staff were very efficient, friendly and helpful, any problems were resolved extremely timely and the whole setting of the pool areas, the interior and reception were built to impress without being tacky. There were more than a smattering of other nationalities, predominantly German, with Russians, Italians, French and Turks on site - Brits were in a minority, but our previous experiences in Turkey with hotels slanted towards high German occupancy showed that quality and efficiency are paramount in the hotel's approach to customer service. Titanic was no different in this aspect.
The beach area was, in my view, superior than the Barut Lara, Miracle or other adjacent hotels. There were plentiful beds, shelter and space with volleyball courts, petanque and a beach bar behind several beach cabins (chargeable) to the left of the pier.
Food choice was plentiful for all meals, and of a good standard, though two of the snack bars closed during our stay - a little unfortunate as these were closer to the beach than the main restaurant which we had to use in the last 3 days. Two of the five pool areas were also closed temporarily for the International Underwater 'Apnoea' challenge held on site. The Italian team seemed to be able to hold their breath longer than the other teams, so won the main event.
A trip to Antalya was made by Dolmus (I euro each way per person) - visit the Karasologlu park at the eastern side of the city and enjoy the view! Perge is another unmissable trip - Taxi from the hotel with a dedicated driver cost 45 Euros and entry to the ruins is 15 TL (they don't accept other currency).
We had a great time, met some great people and special thanks to Ahmed for the free boat/jet ski trips he gave our daughter. If there is a downside, it is the number of wasps, though in Turkey they don't sting (really??).

We got off to a bad start!, we had booked a taxi via the Thomsons welfare dept & upon arrival the rep was not aware of such & had to clarify we had actually booked one, waited 25min for confirmation & for taxi to arrive. When it did arrive it was a huge minibus, my wife (the disabled person) had great ificulty getting into the vehicle even with the driver & myself assisting.I asked the rep why did we have a minibus, the answer was "this is all we use".
So, if you require a car, as we do, I suggest you state this when booking.
When arrived @ the hotel I expected to see Bell boys to assist with cases, WRONG.I had managed to get my wife out of the minibus & in the wheelchair, through the revolving doors, went and brought the cases in, then two bellboys ambled over to put our cases by reception.
We checked in only to find we DID NOT have an adapted room, had a debate with the guy on reception, who said an adapted room would be available next day.
We went to an area were hot drinks & sandwhiches were available (opposite reception) and within 15min the chap from reception came over & said a room WAS now available! I spoke to the rep @ the hotel he did say our request had been put through,so the hotel were aware.
To be honest I consider wanting an adapted room IS a neccessity not a request! SO I will from here on request Thomsons welfare dept to contact the relevent hotel & pre book one.
We were given room 1717. This room had a door to the adjoining room,so my guess it is used as a family room too. We noticed you could hear what sounded like flushing water down the drainage system.Bathroom was a good size for wheelchair access, toilet had the assisting bars, shower had a folding seat, but the shower was to the side of this so you had to use the handset anyway.Shower gel, shampoo & handsoap provided which were eplenished when required.
No tea/coffee making facilities in the room, but a mini bar with cans of beer, cola, fanta & water also replenished every day.(free)
Our room had a long narrow balcony which was adequate for a wheelchair, no room to turn round so had to reverse.
Very little english on the tv, however there was one english film on loop whilst we were there----The Titanic!
The air con in our room was not very efficient, 3 speeds----- slow, very slow & is it on?
There are 6 lifts (I think) which are next door to each other, glass fronted & big enough for a wheelchair & 4 other people. When you press the lift button dont wait by any particular one as any of the 6 lifts may arrive, so you may be waiting by the wrong one! Little bit chaos here at -1 level as its the main route to the pools/ beach etc.
@ the -1 level there is a huge cicular fish tank.also the main restaurant.
Procedure to eating there---- first find a table,in the center there are 3 tables with easy access have been reserved for disabled people,(some think they qualify to use these tables if they have a sticky plaster on, one waiter moved a couple off one of these tables as they were fit and able, quite pleasing to see this!) wait untill a waiter serves your drinks then procede to get your food.
Food was ok, more aimed @ Eastern europeans then British but you could always find something to suit.Personally I dont eat grass, cheese @meat for Breakfast, but some do!Plenty of fried eggs/plain ommelettes, cereals etc.
The alcoholic drinks @ the bars were of a drinkable standard! Malabu& Bailleys (Not the real stuff) wine I found ok too.
There is a bar in the bowling alley/ snooker room but no access for wheelchair users.
Once outside -1 level past the Armonia bar you have a bridge to go over, not insurmountable but we found another route to avoid it!( through the royal select villas)
I found an access point for wheelchairs into the ampitheatre, but could not find anywhere to park one to veiw.
Disabled toilets, 1 in the lobby bar, 1 in the restaurant area,1 to the rear of the lifts (also -1 level), 1 to the side of the Solaris bar/doner pitza house.Out of all of these the only respectable one is the one by the lobby bar. Others were in need of decorating,no air con, poor access, & varied with assistance bars.
Beyond the Solaris bar there is another toilet block to the rear of the Stealla snack bar but none for disabled.
Whilst we were there there was internal & external modifications going on (the rep said he was unaware these were going on). The internal one----consisted of hammer drilling, grinding as they were constructing supports for a glass roof to cover the lobby bar.Outside--- consisted of similar noises as they appeared to be constructing a canopy to cover the outside of the lobby bar, Now these modifications were carried out during the daytime when MOST people were not in their rooms, however my wife has a power nap every day (Well tried to!)
Summary--- ok-ish for wheelchair users, would we go again ? NO. Will I complain to Thomsons? YES. Hope they read this too!

Room Tip: rooms on the left of the hotel (as you look at it from the front) get sun in the morning, rooms on t...
